Hey guys xD I'm new here and I'm wondering if the Smogon community would kindly rate my team. I have no particular techniques when it comes to team gameplay, as in my team doesn't specifically collaborate with each other. They're just random assortments of various roles such as a Leader, a Atk and SpA sweeper, wish supporter, and status inflicter. So I'm wondering how well you guys think my team would compete in the metagame and I'm also debating on whether to use Empoleon or Starmie as my Water Type pokemon xD So, let me know!
Azelf
Lead @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature (+Spe/-SpD)
-Stealth Rock
-Psychic
-Explosion
-Taunt
Serves primarily as a suicide lead. Takes out opposing lead (taunt and psychic). Stealth rocks if either possible or not possible to outmatch the other lead, and explodes whenever necessary. Usually only have problem with Aerodactyl's speed.
Jirachi
Uber Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 70 Def / 188 SpA
Modest Nature (+SpA/-Atk)
-Calm Mind
-Grass Knot
-Thunder
-Wish
Jirachi serves as a special wall due to type coverage, moderate SpD, and Calm Mind. It also heals, whenever convenient with wish. Grass Knot cover Ground, Rock, and Water threats like Vaporeon and Hippowdon. Thunder serves as main attack after Calm Minding with it's 120 base power and covers flying types and water types.
Breloom
SubSeed @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Toxic Heal
EVs: 48 HP / 252 Atk / 208 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk/-SpA)
-Focus Punch
-Spore
-Seed Bomb
-Substitute
Breloom is my main physical sweeper. Basic technique is switching into a Water, Electric, Ground, and Rock move or any other non-effective move and setting up. Basic setup is Spore (to induce sleep), then Substitute, then Seed Bob or Focus Punch. Once Breloom gains this momentum, I'd think it hard to get out of it unless you had a Lum Berry. So far, this set up has proven unmatched, though I admit I'm extremely inexperienced.
Metagross
Agiligross @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 112 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def / 132 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk/-SpA)
-Agility
-Meteor Mash
-Earthquake
-Explosion
Metagross is probably my most reliable physical sweeper, once it gains momentum. Basic play style, for me, is to switch into a non-effective or non-effecting attack suck has psychic ones on an enemy that can be OHKO by Meteor Mash or Earthquake, let Metagross be hit and set up agility.. and hopefully sweep. Earthquake covers Steel, Electric, Fire, and Rock types while Meteor Mash is used as a main offensive (and the chance of upping Atk isn't a bad effect either. Explosion is used as necessary whether taking out an extremely annoying healing tank, or going down with a BOOM.
Heatran
Burn Support @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 16 SpA / 240 SpD
Modest Nature (+SpA/-Atk)
-Will-O-Wisp
-Substitute
-Roar
-Lava Plum
Heatran, rather than a SpA sweeper, serves as a burn inflicter, hence the Lava Plum (100% 80 base power with 30% burn) and Will-O-Wisp. Once burn inflicted, I make my way through the majority of the opposing team and Roar (combined with Stealth Rock from Azelf) to wear down health before Heatran is killed. Switch ins include Grass, Ice, and Steel attacks, but more preferably on Fire attacks since Flash Fire which grants immunity and boosts attacks when hit.
Starmie
Rapid Spinner @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 136 HP / 156 Def / 216 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe/-Atk)
-Rapid Spinner
-Surf
-Thunderbolt
-Recover
Obviously, Starmie is my Rapid Spinner, which sweeps away Stealth Rock and Spikes. Switch ins are usually easy (on Fire, Fighting, Ice, Psychic, Steel, and Water) due to Starmie's speed. Other than Rapid Spinning, Starmie also takes out or forces switch outs on threats to my team that include Infernape and other speedy Fire and/or Fighting types.
-OR-
Empoleon
Agility, Three Attacks @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 24 HP / 252 SpA / 232 Spe
Modest Nature (+SpA/-Atk)
-Surf
-Agility
-Grass Knot
-Ice Beam
Empoleon's steel and water type is pretty convenient in that it gains more defenses than weaknesses (I think). Ice beam for Flying, Dragon, Grass, and Ground types. Grass knot for Water, Ground, and Rock types. Surf for Fire, Ground, and Rock types. Agility is a nice boost of speed
Azelf
