OU TEAM learning the basics

Hey guys, so I bring you here my team. Lately I have been playing a lot of random battles, but decided to settle and make a decent ou team.

Smeargle @ Focus Sash
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Spore
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Memento

All started with the need of using smeargle. I havent seen him a lot lately, so why dont give it a try. This set is standard and pretty obvious, his job is to put someone to sleep and at least set the rocks. Choose memento at the last moveslot because it can help me stop slow sweepers, it has saved me a couple times.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SDef / 248 HP / 8 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Volt Switch
- Substitute
- Hydro Pump

I wanted to get a quiet defensively core, so I started with a spdef rotom w. Sub to avoid status, WoW to cripple physical attackers, and volt switch for momentum. I thought on incluiding pain split , but I dont know if it is efffective, need advice here.

Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Protect
- Thunder Wave

Taking advantage of rotom resistance to fire, here comes the second memeber of my defensive core. Best counter to kang, it stops it always. Then again pretty standard set, protect leechseed to stall almost anyone, t wave to slow down foes and power whip to have some power. I dont know if i should change it to gyro ball.

Diggersby @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Quick Attack
- Wild Charge
- Return

I love this mon. On the past gen I used azumarill a lot and it was amazing. Diggersby is better. Choice band to boost his power even further, quick attack for priority and stab.Wild charge for flying dudes, and eq for stab. I though on incluiding u turn tho.

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 240 Def / 252 HP / 16 Spd
Bold Nature
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Scald
- Knock Off

Rapid spinner of the team. Scald is great due the chance of burning. I dont know why knock off is not that used, is an amazing move. Helps me a lot all the time. Ground weakness is covered by rotom, so does electric. T spikes for when I have hard countered anyone, it always helps.

Kangaskhan (F) @ Kangaskhanite
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Power-Up Punch
- Earthquake
- Sucker Punch
- Substitute

Time to pick my mega pokemon. I was used to pick mega gyarados, but wanted to try out kangaskhan. I have no regrets. He;s a power house, power up punch give +2 atack, sucker punck for priority and mega gengar/mega alakazam. Sub to avoid status and faster figtinh moves.
