metagross.png

nature - ADAMANT
ability - CLEAR BODY
item - OCCA BERRY
evs - 252 HP, 252, ATK, 6 DEF

STEALTH ROCK
METEOR MASH
BULLET PUNCH
EARTHQUAKE

a standard metagross lead for getting rocks down, bullet punch is a nice free hit on the first move it works alot of the time, meter mash and quake are nice bulky physical moves that make metagross a nice defence lead while providing him also with later game capabilites

nature - NAIVE
ability - FLASH FIRE
item - LIFE ORB
evs - 252 Spe, 252, SpA, 6 ATK

EARTH POWER
FIRE BLAST
HP ELECTRIC
EXPLOSION

heatran is my bulky sweeper his fireblast does significant damage on any pokemon in this game, even waters, earth power is perfect for when the opponent switches in his fire pokemon thinking im gonna fire plast, HP is for when waters come in to try and kill heatran, and explosion well is just for those annoying walls i sometimes have trouble with. my only complaint about heatran is he has to many weaknesses and takes alot of dmg. from them, even though he is a bulky type of pokemon.

nature - ADAMANT
ability - INNER FOCUS
item - LUM BERRY
evs - 226 HP, 84 ATK, 200 Spe

DRAGON DANCE
DRAGON CLAW
EARTHQUAKE
ROOST (wanted to use extremespeed instead but its not avaible yet in battle server)

i actually used to use latias instead of dragonite for a while, the reason i switched is because most decent latias move sets involve a choice scarf for it work well and i already have a pokemon with a choice item (described later). i also see that dragonite can take a hit better then latias and stay in for a bit. the only thing i miss about latias was her trick move that would shut down milktanks/bliseys

nature - BOLD
ability - LEVITATE
item - LEFTOVERS
evs - 252 HP, 68 ATK, 190 Spe

WILL O WISP
OVERHEAT
THUNDERBOLT
SHADOW BALL

rotom h gives so much coverage its great, generally i switch rotom in when i see a fighter come out only to have them waste in attack, i use will o wisp on anything and everything, overheat is my way of dealing with scizor or anything else to fire that heatran isnt suited for. thunderbolt and shadowball deals with other ghosts/waters respectively.

nature - BOLD
ability - WATER ABSORB
item - LEFTOVERS
evs - 188 HP, 252 DEF, 68 Spe

PROTECT
TOXIC
SURF
WISH

an excellent supporter for the team, she has decent defence and health so she last a little, her main use is wish just to heal my team. she has the only water move on my team so i occasionally switch her in for attacking, toxic has come in handy and along with rotom will o wisp i basically screw over most the team in the long run.

nature - MODEST
ability - ADAPTABILITY
item - CHOICE SCARF
evs - 6 Def, 252 SpA, 252 Spe

TRI ATTACK
DARK PULSE
HP FIGHTING
ICE BEAM

an amazing special sweeper, it almost always moves first and its moveset most of the time can assure me something will be weak against it. i mainly switch it in for a kill and then pop him out so you could call him a revenger if you want, i did HP fighting because it just happens to cover the 1 or 2 types the other 3 moves dont (even though HP doesnt do that much dmg.)

thanks for reading please rate and comment i need all the feedback i can get

Right ill do a quick rate. First what is it with scarf Porygon-Z, i must have seen 4-5 RMTs with Scarf P-Z lately. Don't use it as with a Priority ridden metagame it is not the right enviroment for it.

I suggest a scarf on Rotom to cover threats like DD poke eg Gyarados.

Also if you drop Porygon-Z i would recomend a Magnezone to help stop steel types or bulky waters ruin Dragonites sweep, or a SD Lucario or Agility Metagross to help break down walls to help Dragonite sweep.

Hello Vouslavous, looks as if you could use a bit of help with your team.

Metagross: The standard Speed Evs for leadGross are 32. So, To outspeed these opposing metagross, I would recommend using this Ev spread: Adamant: 216Hp / 252Atk / 40Spe. You may ask what is so spectacular about this set. 40 Speed should allow Metagross to outspeed and defeat opposing leadgross. In addition, Magnezone hoping to outspeed Metagross by 1 point are also outspeed. The Attack is maximized, while the rest of the Evs are thrown into Hp, to maximize bulkyness. In addition, Occa Berry is a poor choice for an item due to the fact that use utilize a heatran. I would recommend using a Lum Berry over Occa Berry. Lum Berry allows you to defeat Sleep leads such as Roserade (3.29%) and Smeargle (2.36%). You will note I added a sleep talking Rotom-h here, Lum Berry is still recommended because LumGross ensures a win over sleep leads, while sleep talkers can give the opposition setup.

Heatran: Heatran should not carry Hidden Power Electric, because the only use for Hidden Power Electric is to defeat Gyarados, which is already walled by Vaporeon. In addition, Porygon-Z is capable of outspeeding and KOing 4/0/0 Gyarados with Tri Attack. In place of Hidden Power Electric, I would use Hidden Power Grass over Hidden Power Electric. Hidden Power Grass can come as a surprise against Swampert, which is usually a fine counter to Heatran. Against 252/252/0 Swampert, HP Grass is Koed. HP Grass is slightly uncommon on Heatran, used only 19.3% of the time, which adds an element of suprise. In case you were wondering, Fire Blast deals more damage to Hippowdon than Hidden Power Grass, meaning that Hidden Power Grass should only be used against Swampert.

Dragonite: As I see it, Dragonite seems to perform as an inferior Salamence. With Dragon Dance, Salamence is both faster and more powerful (however marginally). I would recommend using Salamence, as it is capable of dealing large amounts of damage in exchange for less bulkyness.

Salamence @ Life Orb | Intimidate
Jolly: 4Hp / 252Atk / 252Spe
Dragon Dance | Outrage | Earthquake | Roost

Pros: Dragon Dance Salamence, the tried and true. Salamence is a pokemon who can successfully utilize the fantastic attacking combination of Dragon and Ground, which is resisted only by Skarmory and Levitating Bronzong, which are both countered by Heatran and Rotom-h. Jolly is the preferred nature on Salamence so that +1 Salamence can tie with both Scarf Flygon, who can KO with Outage, and Choice Scarf Jirachi, who can KO with Ice Punch. Heatran makes a good counter to ScarfJirachi, while Rotom-h can distribute a burn to Flygon, making him little to no threat. Given the fact that Salamence forces many switches, and has free turns, Roost is a good option. Salamence is capable of getting worn down quickly with Life Orb recoil and Sandstorm about, so recovery is desired to extend his sweep.

Cons: Unlike Dragonite, Salamence has no access to Priority, which allows him to be killed by Weavile's Ice Shard, regardless of the amount of boosts attained. As I have said before, Salamence has a tendency to get worn down quickly, which means he may have to rely on coming into battle with Wish so he does not take 25% damage from Stealth Rock. Due to the fact that Outrage lasts for up to 3 turns, Salamence is easily killed by powerful priority users (Scizor, Weavile) when locked into battle. Skarmory, along with Levitating Bronzong and Hippowdon are all capable of walling this set all day, which means you must have answers to these threats, which you have in the name of Vaporeon, who can take these given turns and provide Wish support for the rest of your team.

Rotom-h I think this is a mere typo, but you have marked 68ATK, where there should read 68SPA. Also, I fail to grasp the purpose of this set, as you have Speed and Special Attack Evs, but you have a Bold nature, but with no Defense Evs. I will try to change the EV spread to something simpler. I think that a set of Bold: 252Hp / 120Def / 136SpD will allow you to become a mixed wall (as you previously had trouble with Infernape). This set allows you to maximize your overall bulkyness, favoring the Defense stat, due to the physical nature of our current metagame. In addition, I would use this moveset: Rest | Sleep Talk | Discharge | Will-O-Wisp. This set allows Rotom-h to absorb status effects, while distributing status of his own. While offensively Rotom-h cannot do much to opposing ghosts, Scarf Porygon-Z with Dark Pulse will make short work of them, immune to their Shadow Balls. This Rotom will be able to wall Gyarados to no end.

Vaporeon: Standard and A-OK.

Porygon-z: I think that Download will be a better ability on this set. Some of the pokemon who Porygon-Z comes in on usually have a higher Defense than Sp.Def, which provides a useful boost in SpA, essentially giving Porygon-Z both Choice Specs and Scarf. Examples of these pokemon are Lucario, Rotom-h (very much like the one I recommended), Hippowdon, and Tyranitar. In addition, Adaptability only affects Tri Attack, which is pitifully walled by ghosts and Scizor, often forcing painful switches. Download over Adaptability.

I hope I have helped you with your team!

thanks alot wooper that really helped me out alot, just out of curiousity where did u get your stats? i also switched out porgon z for magnezone, do you think that is a good move?

also sub breloom always gives me problems any suggestions how to deal with

Just wanted to add to bluewoopers post. If you want ur Dragonite to DD up and do lots of damage with heaps of coverage, go with salamence and bluewoopers set. If you want your dragonite to be able to Dragon Dance multiable times (and be significantly bulkyier) then go with Dragonite was being more bulky than salmence is one of THE reasons Dragonite should be used over Salamence

I just thought I'd mention that Espeed is available in the shoddy battle server. However, when you select new team, you must click on Smogon university not standard server for the moves to appear in the team builder. Bluewoopers advice is good.

Good luck.

thanks jc, i need to recreate the team in smoogen then, i really dont need espeed anymore it seems now that im using mence, thanks for that do that explains some random missing moves
