ability: Synchronized
nature: Careful
EV's: 252 HP/92 SpD/164 Spe
~ Mean Look
~ Baton Pass
~ Wish
~ Yawn

Umbreon is my lead pokemon. Mean Look and Baton Pass combination can be deadly when used as a pair. Trap opponents with Mean Look.First I mean look, then yawn, then wish, then baton pass to a counter, A stealth rocker, or send in a sweeper who can set up. Its ev spread provides it to be bulky and making it able to baton pass before its OHKO.

ability: Keen Eye
nature: Impish
EV's: 252 HP/64 Atk/176 Def/16 Spe
~ Brave Bird
~ Roost
~ Spikes
~ Stealth Rock

Skarmory can benefit my sweepers so well its rediculous. I usually add 3 layers of spikes then stealth rock. Brave Bird provides a powerfull stab move. Roost is a great move for recovering lost HP from opponent attacks and Brave Bird. I choose leftovers over shed shell because there are not to many (if at all) steel trapping leads.

ability: Intimidate

nature: Adamant
EV's: 156 HP/ 72 Atk/ 96 Def/ 184 Spe
~ Dragon Dance
~ Taunt
~ Waterfall
~ Bounce

After Skarmory does its job I will usually switch in for gyarados or jolteon depending on what situation. My Bulky Gyarados has respectable defenses, and Intimidate to set up on and KO a variety of threats, including many variants of Heatran, Infernape, Lucario, and Scizor. Bulky Gyarados is great in the early-game taking on celebi leads with bounce.

ability: Volt Absorb
nature: Timid
EV's: 4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
~ Substitute
~ Baton Pass
~ Thuderbolt
~ Hiddden Power/ Ice

Jolteon is the fastest ub/baton passing player in the game.
Hp ice is my only counter for dragons and it will OHKO them with Jolteons awsome special attack stat and will outspeed every one of them.Since Jolteon is a ground magnet, gyarados makes a great partner. Gyarados usually Ko-ing a ground type pokemon after a dd.
251.png

ability: Natural Cure
nature: Bold
EV's: 252 HP/220 Def/36 Def
~ Grass Knot
~ Recover
~ Heal Bell
~ Leech Seed

This is a valuable member to the team. It cures my enitre team. It is important because Blissey can wreck my team because it use toxic and stall me out.The rest of the moves purpose is pretty obvious: attack or Leech Seed counters on the switch, and if I have suffered a wound so severe that Leftovers and Leech Seed don't cure it fast enough, Recover it off
143.png

ability: Thick Fat
nature: Careful
EV's: 168 HP/120 Def/220 SpD
~ Curse
~ Return
~ Selfdestruct
~ Crunch

This pokemon makes an effective late-game sweeper. The EVs on this Snorlax are configured for optimal defensive efficiency. I prefer Return for my its stab because it provides greater power than body slam. Selfdestruct is a good move for finishing my opponent if I have a remaining team member and win the game.

That Umbreon lead will not work. Vs some common leads:

Azelf: Taunt - you lose instantly
Metagross - SR + explosion will beat you.
Swampert - one lead that you perform well against. Again, though, if they have a fighting type, you will lose
Aerodactyl - taunt - you lose
Jirachi - Trick - you lose
Heatran- Fire blast + explosion 2HKOes. It can set up SR, then kill you
Roserade - puts you to sleep if it wants to, which it arguably should, unless they have a switchin that will OHKO you.
Smeargle - the same - if it has trickscarf, it wins.
Tyranitar - you can't put them to sleep because many carry lum/chesto berry. None of your pokemon can set up on it either.
Gliscor- taunt- you lose. If it doesn't have taunt, it will U-turn out
Ninjask - bypasses your strategy with sub + baton pass.

I believe that you team would work fine without it anyway. Good luck

Umbreon is one of my favorite pokemon but it simply doesn't work in OU. It has too many problems with too many common things in OU, anything with U-turn and Scizor especially absolutely love to see Umbreon. Substitute also doesn't do it any favors, and taunt really just seals its fate.

This really seems like a stall team if Jolteon was not there. If you were trying to go that route, then maybe replace umbreon with roserade so it can set up toxic spikes as well as absorbing them while getting a quick sleep powder in.

Then you can just replace jolteon with a ghost, probably Rotom-H.

If you don't want roserade as a lead, then I recommend you swap out Jolteon for either Forretress or tentacruel. Finally in the lead position you could simply go with either Tyranitar or Hippodown.

Now if you don't want a stall team, the number one thing that needs to be fixed is the fact that you have no counter for Salamance. There's a bunch of routes you can go here but I recommend either Weavile, Jirachi or Latias over Jolteon

With Weavile, revenge killers that would threaten Gyarados such as Gengar, Latias, and Starmie can be easily dispatched, and if you did have Weavile, you could maybe add Earthquake on Snorlax.

Jirachi would work fairly nice because it would also take care of your Tyranitar weakness.

Latias has suprisingly good synnergy with Gyarados, and it could be extra insurance against special threats should your Snorlax which lacks recovery be worn down or have selfdestructed.

Weavile requires that you use Bronzong or Hippodown because you really have no Tyranitar counter, or Metagross counter specifically agiligross. I think I should mention that thunderwave on Celebi would help remedy this weakness somewhat.

Jirachi as your revenge killer means you'll still probably have to use Bronzong or Hippodown in the lead, but if you do add thunderwave on Celebi, that's opens up the lead spot to things such as Scizor.

Latias revenge killing is basically the same story as the other two.

To summarize all of that up, swap Umbreon and Jolteon for things that will allow you to better deal with Metagross, Tyranitar, and Salamence

Hello,

I also think you should drop Umbreon. There is a reason it's only UU and it should say there. All those Taunt and U-Turn users in OU, especially in Lead Position will absolutely screw it over.
Also your team is absolutely incapable of handling opposing set up sweepers. DD Salamence. DD Tyranitar, DD Gyarados, SD Lucario,... the list goes on and on. You said Jolteon is supposed to check them. You should remember that Gyara and Mence will outspeed after 1 DD and kill you with Earthquake. I would suggest Scarf Jirachi in that slot, because it will be able to revenge kill all that stuff. Just watch out for Magnezone.

On Curse Lax you should definitely use Rest over Selfdestruct. Staying alive is much more viable for it than blowing up (although Snorlax is the only pokemon in the game that gets STAB to a Boom Move). You should also replace Crunch with Fire Punch, because it has much better neutral coverage in OU. Also you could consider using Body Slam over Return, as a paralysis can really help you.

Hope I could help. Good Luck !
