OU Team

Just something I've been trying to put together. Comments greatly appreciated :)

bronzong.png

Bronzong @ Macho Brace
Levitate
Sassy – 252 HP/ 86 Atk/ 80 Def/ 92 Sp. Def
-Trick
-Gyro Ball
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock

Basically used to get Stealth Rock up, as well as support my strong (but somewhat slow) Life Orb-ers with a tricked Macho Brace. The Macho Brace also makes Bronzong's Gyro Ball very powerful, whilst not locking it in to an attack (like, say, a tricked Choice Band would).

Heatran_Artwork.png

Heatran @ Life Orb
Flash Fire
Timid – 252 Sp. Atk/ 4 Sp. Def/ 252 Spe
-Fire Blast
-Earth Power
-Hidden Power [Grass]
-Substitute

Ahh, Heatran. With Life Orb, it hits exceedingly hard, and this Heatran is meant for a late-game sweep. It is somewhat slow, however it is supported with both Bronzong and my Thunder Wavers. Substitute with Life Orb may whittle it's HP down alarmingly fast, however I do have the Wish support, and this is a fantastic move to use on the switch, allowing it to hit it's counter hard with an appropriate attack.

Celebi @ Life Orb
Natural Cure
Modest – 232 HP/ 240 Sp. Atk/ 36 Spe
-Thunder Wave
-Leaf Storm
-Hidden Power [Fire]
-Recover

My 'Tinkerbell'. It supports the team, and itself, with Thunder Wave, but at the same time threatens with a powerful, Life Orb STAB Leaf Storm. Hidden Power gets coverage, and Recover keeps it alive. Basically, it's supposed to support while remaining an offensive threat.

vaporeon_display.png

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Water Absorb
Bold – 248 HP/ 224 Def/ 36 Sp. Def
-Wish
-Protect
-Scald
-Hidden Power [Electric]

Vaporeon provides Wish support that's much needed for my team, as well as checking some dangerous physical threats, like Excadrill and Gyarados. It also provides good general synergy with my team, resisting fire and ice attacks aimed at Celebi as well as water attacks aimed at Heatran.

dragonite.png

Dragonite @ Leftovers
Multi Scale
Impish – 252 HP/ 52 Atk/ 204 Spe
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Fire Punch
-Roost

Dragonite is meant for an outright sweep, as a bulky Dragon Dancer. It appreciates T-wave support (allowing it to Roost before the opponent, if it doesn't have a DD up) as well as SR support from Bronzong, allowing it to get some KO's it mightn't otherwise get. I've gone with Impish to emphasise bulk, and get the best chance of Dragon Dancing up.

blissey.png

Blissey @ Leftovers
Natural Cure
Bold – 252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 Sp. Def
-Seismic Toss
-Softboiled
-Thunder Wave
-Aromatherapy

Blissey seems like a bit of an after-thought, but it actually does several important things for my team. Firstly, Along with Celebi, it provides Thunder Wave Support. Secondly, it carries Aromatherapy to heal off status that could cripple my team (Burn on Dragonite, Toxic on Vaporeon, Paralysis on Heatran). Finally, it provides excellent Special Defense, and can take special hits much better than Vaporeon and Bronzong, thus walling a lot of threats.

Well, there it is. Hope it isn't (entirely) awful, but I'd reallt appreciate anything you have to offer. In particular, I know that this team has trouble with Reuniclus (though, if I could get it before it starts boosting with Calm Mind, then Celebi/ Heatran could hit it hard...)
Mmph. Anyway, thanks heaps!

Instead of Macho Brace try using a lagging tail but i guess it has the same effects. With Blissey I recommend using Calm Mind and Ice Beam instead of thunder wave and aromatherapy. Trust me with the Calm Mind after 1-3 Calm Minds you will be unstoppable especially if you change one move for a Special attacking move. Otherwise it is decent.

Actually re reading your strategy even though it is risky you might want to change Sesmic toss for Flamethrower or Ice Beam and keep aromatherapy.

Actually, the Lagging Tail makes you always go last, but doesn't affect your speed stat. Stick with Macho Brace.
Calm Mind on Blissey is a bad idea as well. Any random physical attacker will just come in, force you out, and make you lose your boosts.
TheCakeIsALie, I suggest you read this.
No offense.
Mmh, I can see where you might have problems with Reuniclus. Unless Reuniclus carries Shadow Ball, the standard CM set can't touch Celebi. Perhaps you should run Perish Song on Celebi? The question is, where to put it. Could you spare Thunder Wave?
I also second Ice Beam on Blissey as Vaporeon is already a solid Heatran switch in, Blissey will be coming in on Hydreigon and Latios a lot, and you need another pokemon that can smack Gliscor around.

my two cents~

Also, if you're not going to do Ice Beam or any other special attack on Blissey, Eviolite Chansey does the job better with higher defenses at the expense of a meager special attack stat, slightly lower HP and no lefties.

Yeah, I think Ice beam on Blissey is definitely a good idea now I think about it. As for Reuniclus, I just started wondering if I should maybe use a Nasty Plot set instead on Celebi? CM Reuniclus without Shadow Ball is not only beaten, but used as set-up fodder. Of course, without much T-wave support, I would then probably have to change Heatran's set to Scarf, which means Bliss could then just run Toxic > Thunder Wave, or even two attacks (BoltBeam, possibly)...

Uh-oh. Too many possibilities to deal with... haha.
