[*]Introduction
[*]
[*]Hey Everyone! First post on RMT so please let me know if I make any mistakes.
I've been battling with this team for roughly two weeks making slight adjustments where necessary. Ive peaked at about 1300 and I know I can do better. I am fairly comfortable with the way this team works and I feel confident about the plays I can make with these guys. However there are many holes that I cannot think of how to fill. I have a lot of trouble with pokemon like mega lopunny, mega medicham, and mega metagross specifically. Ferrothorn and heatran sometimes cause difficulty playing around as well. Well here's the team! Any and all criticism is very appreciated! Thank you!!

[*]Teambuilding Process
[*]
[*]I play very offensively, so I made my team reflect that. Every pokemon on this team, in one way or another has full sweeping capabilities. I have a setup sweeper and tank in gyrados, two hard hitting special attackers in Mega Gardevoir and Heliolisk, a stealth rocker and fairy slayer in Bisharp, a mixed attacker with great coverage in infernape and an absolute truck in Staraptor.
[*]
[*]The Team
[*]
[*]
[*]Gyarados @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Waterfall
- Thunder Wave
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
[*]
[*]
[*]The MVP of my team! This unorthodox set works so well for me. People see dragon dance and assume I'm fully offensive but then I can tank hits for days. Important to check talonflame, and counter other physical attackers.
[*]
[*]
[*]Heliolisk @ Choice Specs
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Surf
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hyper Voice
[*]
[*]Heliolisk was the latest pokemon put on the team and I really like the coverage and ability this guy brings to the table. Dry skin is great to go in tandem with Infernape, when a pokemon like rotom uses hydro pump against Infernape, it just takes a quick switch to helio and I have full health. Hits super hard with all of its moves and makes for an excellent pivot.
[*]
[*]
[*]Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 168 Atk / 88 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Mach Punch
- Close Combat
- Fire Blast
- Grass Knot
[*]
[*]Excellent mixed attacker. The EV spread is really nice and it OHKOs hippodown with grass knot which has helped more times than I can count. Close combat and fire blast hit super hard and mach punch is awesome for revenge killing.
[*]
[*]
[*]Staraptor @ Choice Band
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Close Combat
- Quick Attack
- U-turn
[*]
[*]This thing is an absolute monster. Words or even calcs cannot describe the pure aggression that Staraptor has. Quick attakc is awesome for revenge killing and actually hits super hard with the choice band. Brave Bird destroys souls. Im considering switching U-Turn for double edge because I dont use U-turn on staraptor very often?
[*]
[*]
[*]Megaman (Bisharp) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Defiant
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
[*]
[*]Despite his awesome nickname, megaman is my least favorite member of the team. I dont know what it is, but I never actually get much use from him.He uses knock off once, maybe sets up rocks, and thats about it. I need another steel type who can kill fairies and set up rocks. Im thinking Excadrill?
[*]
[*]
[*]
[*]Gardevoir-Mega @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Heal Bell
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Thunderbolt
[*]
[*]Last but not least we have Mega Gardevoir. She hits so hard and has amazing coverage for her counters. Heal bell is there incase one of my physical attackers get burned or if anyone gets paralyzed. Her place on the team is absolutely expendable however.
[*]
[*]Conclusion
[*]
[*]Thank you for reading all of this! Any and all help will be appreciated! Have an excellent day. /CENTER]
