OU+ Team

OU+ Team [RMT]

This team is very defensive. The sweepers have defensive EV's, but can hit hard after a boost. I tried to create a team that can simultaneously receive several attacks and strike hard. In my team, in addition to special / physical sweeper and special / physical wall, there is always a annoyer, a cleric and a Phazer to face the most threats.
I try not to repeat any weakness.

Lead / Physicall Wall / Phazer:

swampert.png

EV's: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Atk
Nature: Relaxed
~ Waterfall
~ Earthquake
~ Roar
~ Ice Beam

The first turn it makes Stealth Rock.
EQ as main attack and Ice Beam for Salamence mainly.
With Roar is the team Phazer and prevents the rival to increase its stats.

Special Sweeper:

latias.png

Latias @ Life Orb / Leftovers
EV's: 128 HP / 128 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid
~ Surf
~ Dragon Pulse
~ Calm Mind
~ Recover

I use her as special sweeper, but I give her the EV's of the defensive set for best durability and after one Calm Mind she can do much damage anyway.

Surf and Dragon Pulse can hit at least neutral to all except Pokemon Empoleon.
Calm Mind to boost your SpD and your SpA and Recover to recover from the damage they'll shift in using Calm Mind.

Physical Sweeper:

gyarados.png

Gyarados @ Leftovers
EV's: 156 HP / 108 Atk / 100 Def / 144 Spe
Nature: Adamant
~ Dragon Dance
~ Waterfall
~ Stone Edge
~ Taunt

I test this set and the offensive Gyarados and I obtain best results with this set.
Dragon Dance to boost its Attack and Speed.
Taunt to prevent a Phazer spoil the Dragon Dance boosts and stop the rival's walls.
As main attack Waterfall with STAB and Stone Edge for other Gyarados, Salamence and bulky waters.

Special Wall / Cleric

blissey.png

Blissey @ Leftovers
EV's: 252 Def / 40 SpA / 216 SpD
Nature: Calm
~ Thunder Wave
~ Flamethrower
~ Aromatherapy
~ Softboiled

She protects her teammates for status and special attacks. She is essential in my team not to poison or paralyze my sweepers. She also helps the team with crippling threats.
With Aromatherapy heals all Pokémon team their status, which is very useful to give more durability to the sweepers and to prevent that walls weakening fast. It also allows that Weezing uses Rest.
Flamethrower is very useful against Scizor to curb emerging Blissey.
Thunder Wave over Toxic to cripple Heatran and other threats in general.
Softboiled to recover their HP.

Revenge Killer:

jirachi.png

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
EV's: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Nature: Jolly
~ Iron Head
~ Thunder Punch
~ Trick
~ Fire Punch

It's the Revenge Killer of the team.
Jirachi can use their skill Iron Head with Serene Grace, and thanks to Choice Scarf can almost always attack before.
Trick can be used to cripple walls or annoyers like Blissey.
Fire Punch allows it revenge killing Scizor and Thunder Punch ends with Gyarados.

Wall Breaker:

heatran.png

Heatran @ Life Orb / Expert Belt
Nature: Naive
EV's: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~ Fire Blast
~ Earth Power
~ Hidden Power [Grass] / Dragon Pulse
~ Explosion

Fire Blast is the main attack with STAB. This attack done enough damage to everything that does not resist.
Earth Power allows it to hit other Heatran.
I doubt between HP [Grass] to end Swampert and Dragon Pulse to threaten Dragon types.
Finally it may explode when it have few HP.
I doubt what item give it. If I give it Life Orb my oponent knowns it when I attack, while with Expert Belt I could be tricked to think that it's a ScarfTran.

Changes Made:

- Swampert to lead and SR for Waterfall.
- Jirachi to Revenge Killer and Thunder Punch for SR and Fire Punch for U-Turn.
- Weezing replaced by a Wall Breaker Heatran.

Ok, suicunne can replace both weezing and swampert, to make a phazing physical wall, with surf and roar, then you have the option of calm mind and ice beam, or rest and sleep talk. This works well with jirachi and latias and gyrados can take fighting attacks from oposite sides of the spectrum.

weezing is only OU because of wil o wisp and pain split, you have neither and he is mere set up fodder when he is sleeping with rest without sleep talk.

Finnally some one else who has realised hp ev's on blissey are fairly pointless, with suicune to abosrb status, aeromatheropy can swap for seismic toss, ice beam, calm mind, wish or toxic, I suggest wish for healing gyrados, Jirachi, a none resting suicune and your sixth pokemon ...

You have now freed up a spot that would be best filled by a revenge killer, I suggest either choice specs jolteon, or CB scizor.

Your team is a little weak to a DD T-Tar. He can be deadly if he gets 1 or 2 Dragon Dances of, because then he can sweep trough your team. I would replace Gyarados for this Breloom, because Gyarados is a) a water-type pokemon and b) physical attacker. Both things you already have in Swampert.

Breloom @Toxic Orb
Ability Poison Heal
EV's: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Jolly Nature

- Facade
- Mach Punch
- Spore
- Seed Bomb

This Breloom counters T-Tar by priority Mach Punching the bloody thing. Facade is a very nice move in combination with the Poison Orb. Spore and Seed Bomb are obvious, but a great combination when facing slow walls.

Thank you I will change Breelom for Gyarados and prove it.

If it goes well I'll change them forever.

Note--
Blissey has Aromatherapy for protect from status produced by attacks like Flamethrower or Thunderbolt (Latias firstly).

If I change Weezing for Suicune then I will change Swampert for a Revenge Killer (not Scizor because it's weakness to fire and Jolteon didn't work well to me like a revenge killer )

If you replace both Gyarados and Weezing, then SD Lucario will rip your team apart. I don't honestly see how you can be weak to DD TTar, with Jirachi and Swampert on the team.

The only real problem I see with this team is stall, a well played stall team will easily defeat you as taunt Gyara is stopped by Rotom + SR.

I'd suggest to use Swampert as your lead, giving it SR over waterfall, and moving Jirachi as your revenge killer of choice, giving it thunderpunch over SR and possibly fire punch over u-turn (fire punch helps to revenge kill things lilke Lucario and Scizor even if you tricked your scarf). Now, with thunderpunch Jirachi, you have something to check opposing Gyarados, meaning that you can get rid of Weezing. I'd suggest to add a solid stall breaker in that slot, I'm thinking of something like:

Lucario@life orb
nature: adamant
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
-close combat
-crunch
-extremespeed
-swords dance

or

Heatran@life orb
nature: naive
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
-fire blast
-earth power
-hidden power grass
-explosion

this way you will have more options to beat stall teams, whitout changing your team's core.

Good luck!

Thanks for your help, Haunter. I applied what you recommend me to my team.

My question now is whether change Trick by U-Turn on Jirachi, because having to Heatran as Wall Breaker I not need Trick to disable a rival wall.
I've also thought about putting a Jirachi 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP to maximize Choice Scarf.

In doubt between HP Grass or Dragon Pulse in Heatran, and I thought that maybe if I give it Expert Belt my opponent may think it's Scarf and take a nasty surprise when Heatran switch attack, with Life Orb I will not do this.

I hope your advice.

Thanks in advance!
