OU Volt Turn Team (Peaked At 1670 Currently)

Talonflame @ Choice Band
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Roost
- U-turn

One of the best late game sweepers in OU and provides momentum with U-turn. Since I dont run a rapid spinner or defogger I do have to be weary of when stealth rocks goes up. I usually play talonflame mid to late game when all the checks and counters have been wore down or completely gone.

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
Happiness: 0
EVs: 248 HP / 136 Def / 104 SDef / 20 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Roost
- Bullet Punch

Scizor provides a good priority in bullet punch and combos well with conkeldurr as it resists both fairy and psychic moves. Overall great bulk and can sweep when given the chance to set up with sword dance and dismantle teams that are not ready for it.

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 236 SDef / 20 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off
- Ice Punch

Assault vest conkeldurr acts as a good synergy core with scizor as it can absorb most special attacks. It does not mind taking a will-o-wisp or toxic. Helps me keep in check blissey and chansey if talonflame is out of battle.

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 244 Def
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge

Usual lead that lets me get up stealth rocks to support talonflame to get those ohko that require prior damage and keeps in check many physical threats that rotom wash fears such as mold breaker excadrill. U-turn works as a good pivot and keep my momentum going throughout the match.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spd
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Hydro Pump
- Pain Split

My biggest check to talonflame and to heatran provides needed status support in will-o-wisp and and provides the momentum and fast pace with volt switch. Able to handle most physical threats one on one and invested into enough speed to allow me to outspeed certain pokemon.

Latios (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Psyshock
- Trick

Finally choice scarf latios keeps my opponent in check when they decide to get greedy and try to set up a dragon dance with mega charizard x as a +1 charizard x is outsped by choice scarf latios and can ohko with draco meteor. Trick is a great move that allows me to cripple opposing pokemon such as rotom wash and ferrothorn.

Overall i feel this team has good synergy but hazards have become a problem for me recently especially stealth rocks on my talonflame. Excadrill, tentacruel, and a defog pokemon either mandibuzz or latias but as of right now I am not quite sure what to take out for them. Any suggestions are gladly welcomed and hope to hear from you guys soon thanks :)

Latios is hardly punished for being locked on a move. Latios is already fast, is only problem are priority mo es and pursuiter.

Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Surf/ Hidden Power Fire
- Psyshock
- Defog

I don't think u need trick. Rotom can still switch in on talon, take the hit, volt switch out. 20% of times u get a scarf or a specs, using trick on him. For chari X u have lando, and chiari X is not used like chari Y.
Ttar can pursuit u, like scizor. Probably HP fire is better over surf.

I agree with Dalai_Drama's assessment as Latios only fears Sucker Punch & being Pursuit Trap. I would also like to modify your Talonflame Set.
Talonflame @ Choice Band
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 48 HP / 252 Atk / 208 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Brave Bird
- U-Turn
- Will-o-Wisp

This set outspeeds Fully invested Jolly Mega Pinsir's so your Brave Bird can outspeed M-Pinsir's Quick Attack. Even if M-Pinsir is carrying Feint I wouldn't fret too much about it:
252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Feint vs. 48 HP / 0 Def Talonflame: 97-115 (31.3 - 37.2%) -- 82.4% chance to 3HKO
Also, WoW helps to cripple Physical Attackers like Tyranitar who takes at best 32% from either FB or BB with a full HP Investment and Physical Defense Walls like Rotom-W who also take about 32% from either BB or FB.

Hope this helps...

Most definitely i had been debating for a long time whether to go with hp fire or surf depending on the threat to handle better ferrothorn or heatran but since I do have landorus t to check heatran quite well, HP fire will be far superior. The talonflame spread I had was used to outspeed 350 max speed pokemon without needed the priority from brave bird but in my scenario talonflame usually took out 2 pokemon then was dead cause of recoil damage. I wish try these changes and report back to you guys thank you for all the help.

Hey, cool team.

Choice Scarf Latios seems really redundant. Your team already has ample amounts of priority and already handles every setup sweeper that Latios does and more. Instead, the team could definitely use hazard control, not only to help Talonflame but also to protect your pivoters from being worn down and also at the same time wear down your opponent in order to weaken walls for MScizor's eventual sweep. Skarmory seems to be a better fit for this team, as it can set Spikes to help weaken opponents and aid Scizor / Talonflame / VoltTurn, and it gets Defog, which can remove hazards on your side if necessary. It also baits in Fire-types and wears them down for Scizor.

Mega Charizard X is already countered by Lando, and Y is checked by Rotom+Conk. Electric-types are also checked by Rotom; if you find them problematic you can definitely try Zapdos instead of Skarmory (you lose Spikes tho) or a more specially bulky Rotom-W spread, such as 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD Calm. This gives you much more coverage against things like Thundurus, Mega Char Y, Landorus-I, and Mega Manectric. You don't need physical defense as much anymore since Skarm / Lando handle pretty much everything.

Your Scizor EVs are also kind of odd; I would just run a spread of 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 SpD Adamant. The added special bulk again helps cover for the loss of Latios's type coverage, letting Scizor survive two of Keldeo's nonboosted Hydro Pumps 99.6% of the time, as well as never be 2HKOd by Thundurus-I's Thunderbolt. This will buy Scizor valuable time to set up and even let it check Thundurus with Roost and Knock Off.

Good luck!
Skarmory @ Leftovers
224 HP / 252 Def / 32 SpD
Impish nature
-Spikes
-Defog
-Roost
-Brave Bird

Spikes + Defog to aid VoltTurn process. Roost to heal, Brave Bird to check Taunt and deal some damage. Whirlwind can be used over Roost to phaze setup and deal hazard damage if you want.

I just noticed I have too many physical offensive pokemon and no special attacker do you guys recommend I try to fit in some special attackers in here?

Not necessarily; it's totally fine to lean physical this generation due to the decline of physical walls and the rise of special walls. The team handles most common physical walls anyway (Talon checks Mega V, Lando is walled by Rotom / hit by Conk, Steels are set up by Scizor / hit by Talonflame + Conkeldurr + Landorus-T)

I know that fire water grass core is a very common and a well balanced core do you think that could be well incorporated into this team or you think that would the synergy of the team?

Today I found a huge weakness in my team. Mega charizard y completely goes to work on my team the only real way I have to deal with it is a choice band brave bird from talonflame. I swapped out the skarmony for Support Chansey to help check charizard y. However this lead me to a new problem no more defog support.
