Thanks to its high Speed and power, as well as threatening one of the best Knock Off absorbers in the tier in Gliscor, Weavile has found its place as one of OU's best progress makers. After a Swords Dance, it overwhelms Pokemon like Ogerpon-W, Kyurem, Cinderace, and Clefable. Ice Shard picks off weakened faster foes such as Dragapult, Iron Valiant, and Choice Scarf Enamorus. Tera Ghost denies revenge killing attempts from physical Iron Valiant, Zamazenta, and Extreme Speed Dragonite and also makes Weavile immune to Corviknight and Skarmory's Body Press, allowing it to turn would-be checks into setup fodder. Weavile's ability to remove Heavy-Duty Boots from defensive Pokemon like Dondozo, Alomomola, and Moltres makes it a great partner for entry hazard users such as Ting-Lu, Gliscor, and Great Tusk. Galarian Slowking beautifully complements Weavile, as it can take on Weavile checks like Iron Valiant, Zamazenta, and Primarina, while Weavile threatens the Ground-types that annoy Galarian Slowking such as Ting-Lu and Great Tusk.

After a Swords Dance it is able to OHKO Pokemon like Ogerpon-W, Kyurem, and Cinderace. (would replace at least one of them with a defensive mon instead. clef is a good shout cause it otherwise switches in to absorb your knock, and if that's included you can use smth like "overwhelm" or "beat" instead of "OHKO") Ice Shard lets Weavile pick up weakened faster foes such as Dragapult and Choice Scarf Enamorus. (would prob add a neutral target here) Tera Ghost denies revenge killing attempts from Close Combat physical Iron Valiant (mixed val would rather click the no-drawback moonblast. only time they'd cc is if they predict tera ice but atp it's too convoluted for a spotlight that we can prob just simplify it this way) and Zamazenta, as well as Extreme Speed Dragonite. Tera Ghost also provides Weavile with an immunity to Corviknight and Skarmory's Body Press, allowing it to potentially turn would be checks into setup fodder. Weavile's ability to Knock Off Heavy-Duty Boots and Leftovers (lefties users still gets screwed by hazards so i'd just focus on the boots users here) from defensive Pokemon like Dondozo, Alomomola, Moltres, and Garganacl. (simplified the list + not that common of a boots user) make it a great partner for entry hazards users that enjoy these Pokemon getting chipped, (they dont particularly care about these walls being chipped, if anything weav does more) such as Ting-Lu, Gliscor, and Great Tusk. Galarian Slowking beautifully complements Weavile, as it can take on Weavile checks like Iron Valiant, Zamazenta, and Primarina, while Weavile threatens the Ground-types that annoy Galarian Slowking such as Ting-Lu, and Great Tusk. (if there's still enough character count left i'd add the snow boost from chilly)
