ou- Wifi RMT

This is my first post on the forums, but I've been browsing them for awhile so hopefully I'll do well. This is my first team that I've put any effort into and I'm creating it in game; therefore, hidden powers are pretty much impossible for me to get.

Team Building Process:
I started out making this team wanting to use Machamp's Bulk Up set and realized that I needed some paralysis support and maybe a speed boost or a substitue to make it happen. I filled in the gaps and tried to cover my weaknesses with Dragonite giving me some paralysis support and special bulk and Scizor baton passing me a speed boost or a substitute.

Anyways, here's the team please rate!

The Lead:

Swampert: Torrent, Relaxed @ Leftovers
240 HP/216 Def/52 SpA
Earthquake
Ice Beam
Surf
Stealth Rock

Not wanting to use a standard suicide lead and needing some physical bulk on my team I chose Swapert to start things off. I hope to lay down the rocks on the first move and make good decisions after that. EQ and Surf for STAB giving me nice coverage. Ice Beam to keep the dragons in check. Grass moves directed at my him can go to practically anyone else on my team. EV's and nautre ripped straight from the analysis since I'm pretty inexperienced in creating competitve teams. I'd like to keep him around for awhile in match to help absorb some physical attacks.

The Baton Passer:

Scizor: Technician, Adamant @ Leftovers
252 HP/84 Atk/172 Spe
Baton Pass
Agility/Substitute
Roost
Bullet Punch

I needed someone to pass either a substitute or a speed boost to Machamp so he could sweep late game and I considered several other pokemon, but Scizor seemed to be my best choice so I went with him. I'm not sure about choosing agility or substitute. If I choose to pass an agility, Machamp could get to move first and dynamic punch for the confusion and then bulk up; however, if I choose to pass a substitute, Machamp can go straight to setting up for the sweep. Help on this decision would be appreciated. Roost for healing off residual damage and what not so he can last longer, and bullet punch for STAB and priority.

The Special Attacker:

Zapdos: Timid, Pressure @ Life Orb
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Sp
Thunderbolt
Heatwave
U-turn
Roost

Having Machamp taking care of the physical attacking, I needed a special attacker; enter Zapdos. I chose Zapdos because of the awesome coverage he provides with t-bolt and heatwave, and also for scouting with u-turn. Roost is for healing off LO damage and providng some longevity switching into SR.

The Support:

Dragonite: Calm, Inner Focus @ Leftovers/Light Clay
248 HP/216 SpDef/44 Sp
Light Screen
Roost
T-Wave
Dragon Pulse/Flamethrower

This set might give me all the reason i need to pass a substitute to Machamp instead of a speed boost. Dragonite is providing my team with some much needed special bulk and paralysis support, not to mention some extra insurance against special attackers with light screen. The plan is to come in on an EQ or something else he resists, Twave, then set up the screen. Roost for healing off SR damage. Can't decide between dragon pulse of flamethrower.

The Revenge Killer:

Heatran: Naive, Flash Fire @ Choice Scarf
4 HP/252 SpAtk/252 Sp
Flamethrower
Earth Power
Explosion
Dragon Pulse

Heatran is providing a little more pace for my team with the choice scarf. I'll use Heatran primarily late game as a revenge killer to get rid of Machamp's counters in order to let him set up for a sweep. Obviously the EV's are standard, as is the set. Dragon pulse because a) I don't have access to hidden powers and b) Late game dragon coverage after Swampert goes down.

The Physical Sweeper:

Machamp: Adamant, No Guard @ Leftovers
252 HP/ 128 Atk/ 128 Sp
Dynamic Punch
Bulk Up
Stone Edge
Payback

Here is the star of my team and the receiver of Scizor's baton pass. After I've worn down the opponents team and eliminated Machamp's counters, I'll pass him a Sub or a speed boost and let him do his thing. Dynamic Punch for awesome power and confusion. Bulk up to maximize his attacking power and longivity against physical threats. Stone Edge to hit all the fliers that would otherwise wall me, and Payback for Gengar coming in to resist Dynamic Punch.

Well that's the team. Let me know what you guys think!

I'm still going over what could perhaps threaten your team, but one thing I noticed is that, excluding Heatran, your fastest Pokemon, Zapdos, has Base 100 speed, which isn't bad, but that means that a lot of sweepers such as Gengar, Starmie, Azelf, and Weavile will always outrun everyone on your team without any sort of speed boost or Choice Scarf (with the exception of your ScarfTran), but I don't think that's a potentially major problem.

Other than that, we could battle on ShoddyBattle and see if there are any loopholes in your team. I think it's very balanced! Just don't use Scizor against any Fire-types, or he'll get owned before he gets the chance to set up a BP, let alone Agility. Hope this helps!

Sounds like the main idea is to late game sweep with Machamp. I will concentrate on this.

If you decide to Baton-pass, make it an agility, your slow team could use the boost.

On the other hand, that makes Payback undesirable since your speed is high. If you go with Agility on Scizor, replace payback with something else like Fire or Ice Punch depending on whether you want to scare scizor or [INSERT GENERGIC DRAGON HERE]. Gengar is frail enough such that he should be covered by Stone Edge or one of these.

Shave off 8 Speed EVs if you choose agility and dump them in atk. This makes you JUST faster than Timid Gengar (assuming equivallent IVs) after the agility boost.

Hope this helps.

thanks for the rates guys

ACDC: i noted the lack of speed as a concern when i was building the team. i considered running leadtran and starmie as a choice sweeper instead of swampert, but then i would be lacking in the physical defense department.

Smokingbomber: My speed IV on the Machamp i've bred is almost perfect, so i'll consider dumping those EV's into attack like you said. i'll have to think about which elemental punch to go with. i think fire-punch might be the way to go since a lot of scizors run superpower now and can take out heatran.
