Ello Smogonians! I'm new here and wanted to try this out. Now my team may seem a bit unconventional; but it works for me.
The Team:
The Lead:
Gargoyle (Aerodactyl) @ Focus Sash
EVs: 252 Spd/252 Att/4 Hp
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Jolly
Somewhat vain.
Moveset:
Taunt - Aerodactyl, being one of the fastest leads, makes a perfect taunter.
Stealth Rock - To cause damage!
Earthquake - A powerful move that hits many common spikers/stealth rockers
Ice Fang - To hit the Spikers that resist EQ.
He is my lead for a few reasons. He is one of the fastest Stealth Rockers and can Taunt on top of that. After he sets up SR, he can die. I have no use for him after that. The offensive moves are there just incase something frail switches in. Or I'm just trying to kill myself with a bang. Focus Sash ensures a SR, no matter what.
The Setter-Upper
After Aerodactyl commits suicide, I bring this girl in!
CntCatchMe (Ninjask) @ Focus Sash
EVs: 252 Hp/80 Spd/176 Att
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Speed Boost
Quick Tempered
Moveset:
Swords Dance - To later pass on to my trusty sweeper!
Protect - To scout// Earn myself an extra Speed Boost
X-Scissor - For emergencies//taunts
Baton Pass - To pass on my stat boosts! Dur
Ninjask is there to pass Sword Dances to my Physical Sweeper. Substitute isn't listed because it only helps with speed boosts. X-Scissor can actually do some massive damage after a swords dance if needed. Focus Sash ensures a Swords Dance, no matter what.
The Physical Sweeper:
Uberz Pl0x (The shiny Scizor) @ Choice Band
EVs: 252 Att/248 Hp/8 Spd
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Technitian
Somewhat Vain.
Moveset:
Bullet Punch - Scizor's main move. A nice technician//Stab bonus brings this moves base power to 80. Plus it's a priority move! Which makes up for Scizors mediocre speed.
Pursuit - For those nasty Psychic Sweepers that DARE to switch it on my Sciz!
SuperPower - OHKO's Blissey and does LOADS on other physical walls.
U-Turn - Just incase something that I can't handle switches in.
Scizor is my team-leader. His ability, along with a STAB boosted Bullet Punch, with a choice band, OHKO's so many things its not even funny. After 1 or 2 sword dance passes from Ninjask, he's unstoppable. His other moves give him good converage in all situations.
The Team Player
Loco Rojo (The Shiny Ambipom) @ Life Orb
EVs: 252 Att/252 Spd/4 Hp
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Technitian
Alert to Sounds.
Moveset:
Fake Out - Who can't resist free damage with a STAB bonus along with a flinch?
Return - Ambipom's everyday move when there is no stress.
Brick Break - For those pesky dark/steel types. Also helps with Reflects/Light Screens.
U-Turn - To get the heck out!
Ambipom is an all around great team player. His moves let him wear down pokemon then run away as if nothing happend. With a life orb, Ambipom does decent damage to many pokemon. His moveset allows for scouting and switching to countering pokemon.
The Late Game Special Sweeper:
Shiny Jolteon @ Choice Specs
EVs: 252 Sp. Atk/252 Spd/4 Hp
Nature: Timid
Ability: Volt Absorb
Likes to fight.
Moveset:
Thunderbolt - Jolteon's STAB move that kills almost everything that doesn't resist.
Signal Beam - To handle those pesky Dark/Psychic/Grass types that think they can wall my Jolt! Does GREAT with Celebi walls.
Shadow Ball - For everything that resists T-Bolt and Signal Beam.
Hidden Power (Ground) - For Rock/Steel types.
Jolteon makes a GREAT late game sweeper. With her 394 speed, and 478 Sp. Attack after Choice Specs boost, she is hard to wall. A STAB thunerbolt takes down Max HP Milotics. Signal Beam/Shadow Ball/HP Ground allow for GREAT coverage among all types.
And Finally.... The Supporter
Eclipse (The Shiny Umbreon) @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP/92 Sp Def/92 Def/72 Att
Nature: Sassy
Ability: Synchronize
Loves to eat.
Moveset:
Toxic - Umbreon makes a great staller. Toxic helps wear the pokemon that needs stalling down!
Protect - To stall :D
Wish - The team supporting move - also helps Umbreon stall.
Payback - Umbreons offensive. Because of its low speed - Paybacks BP becomes 100. Helps wear things down!
Umbreon is my baby. Her stalling powers are amazing. Wish supports my whole team. Toxic wears down bulky pokemon. After a toxic, stalling isn't a problem.
That's it!
A few more things:
Sometimes - I switch Scizor for my Medicham:
Shiny Medicham @ Expert Belt
EVs: 252 att/252 spd/4 hp
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Pure Power
Somewhat Vain
Moveset:
Brick Break
Zen Headbutt
Ice Punch
Thunder Punch
Medicham has great type coverage, which is why he holds an expert belt. The reason I don't use him as much is because of his frailness.
It's hard to survive the baton pass with his weak defense.
~~~~~~~~~~
Please let me know what you all think! And If I should switch Scizor for Medi!
Thanks~
