This is my first OU XY team built around Wobbuffet. I have built this team as pre Pokebank as I dont have access to it, and I plan to eventually make this team. All pokemon are not set in stone apart from the main man.
Rotom-Wash @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest
A solid pokemon this format with the introduction
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 32 Def / 232 Spd
Impish Nature
- Substitute
- Toxic
- Protect
- Earthquake
A solid wall i find, the substitute protect combo is still as useful as in the BW format. I find
Wobbuffet (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 28 HP / 232 Def / 248 SDef
Bold Nature
- Encore
- Counter
- Mirror Coat
- Safeguard
The team is built around this guy, I was surprised how versatile he is, setting up sweepers and takes out unsuspecting attackers. The only problem I have is the lack of recovery, I find it quite hard to pull off the wish combo with Clefable. Sometimes leads as an anti-lead
Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Extreme Speed
- Earthquake
A solid sweeper has already saved a few games already for me. Can consistently pull off dragon dance twice with a encored pokemon, from Wobbuffet. only struggles with fairies and then is switched out to scizor.
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect
I have chosen Clefable over Chansey purely because I dont have access to Chanseys wish. I struggle to use Clefable effectively as I find it cant pull off wish, and then switch out to wobbuffet. Would definitely consider replacing her.
Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 12 Atk / 244 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- X-Scissor
Not so sure about Scizorite, Scizor has a lot of synergy with Rotom-W. As a bit of noob, I not what pokemon I should bring him into apart from fairys. I find that he doesn't have enough bulk to Swords dance too often. Any tips?
Thanks for looking and helping ^_^
