Hey, most(maybe all) know me form the CAP server. Anyways lets get down to business, I've using this team for a few weeks now, and got tremendous success with it on the ladder. This team is pretty much balanced with sweepers and support:
Team At Glance:
Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 128 Atk/252 Spd/128 SAtk
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Stealth Rock
- Psychic
- Explosion
- Taunt
---
Azelf's main objective is to screw over other leads that are slower that it, and then taunting them, which is mainly Fidgit, so it could lay down rocks without worry. Then later it can 2HKO sometimes OHKO Fidgit with Psychic, and then exploding on a different Pokemon(Depending on who it is.)
Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast
- Substitute
- Toxic
---
SubToxic Tran is an amazing support Pokemon when teamed up Celebi. With Toxic, it is able to outstall some of the most special walls like Blissey, Argho and friends without breaking a sweat. After intoxicating them he can stall them out with Sub and let poison finish them off, and if you have Leech Seed up on the foe it will out stall it to death which it will semi counter the Sub recoil.
Fire Blast takes cares of defensive walls and annoying steel types like Jirachi and Metagross. Earth Power takes care of Pokemon like Magnezone which likes the trap the hell out of steel types.
Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/220 Def/36 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Thunder Wave
- Leech Seed
- Grass Knot
- Recover
---
The classic CeleTran combo. Pairing up Celebi's leech seed with Heatran's SubToxic combo, the two will be able to wipe the floor with any defensive or special walls. Thunderwave can take care of the Syclant switch ins and any other sweeper, crippling them, and letting any sweeper, check or counter to come in, outspeed and kill. Grass knot takes care of the bulky waters and auto recovery is also nice...
Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 40 Atk/216 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Outrage
- Roost
---
This is the orignal set of the PMS RMT Plus, Beej, and Mag did. I've been using this guy as my ultimate wall breaker since he does it well. I ran Naive over the nature the original Salamence of the team had just for the speed to outrun somethings that gave me trouble.
As they mentioned in the RMT, Salamence's usual counters are things like Skarmory, Arghonaut etc... but they can't come in on Salamence with this set. Draco Meteor does around 80%-87% of damage iirc and then Mence cna finish up with another. Bliss gets 2HKO'd by Outrage and Skarmory gets OHKO'd by Fire Blast....
Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Thunderbolt
---
Starmie is able to take down a lot of great defesive walls and other sweepers with its great speed and Special Attack. Hydro Pump tends to put some huge dents into Pokemon that usually counters Starmie and is able to 2HKO sometimes OHKO Fidgit. Ice Beam takes care of the Dragons mostly Latias and Cyclohm which it 2HKOs both of them.
Thunderbolt can 2HKO Arghonaut and other bulky Gyara. Auto Recovery is always good. Starmie is also capable of taking down the GyaraOhm combo, 2HKOing Cyclohm with ice beam and ohkoing Gyarados with thunderbolt.
Rhyperior (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Rock Polish
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Megahorn
---
Now my main sweeper on this team. Rhyperior makes a great RP Sweeper and is best used as a late game sweeper. If Rhyperior gets atleast one RP, its capable of sweeping an entire team. STAB Stone Edge and Earthquake is a cool combo and can put the hurting on the opponent if they lets Rhyperior have its way. Rhyperior's SE is able to 3HKO, sometimes 2HKO Skarmory. Stone Edge can also take care of Syclant, Stratagem, and all Dragon types, OHKOing them at the very least.
This Rhyperior set is also able to take the GyaraOhm combo too with SE and EQ. Earthquake can OHKO Fidgit and 2HKO Argho with ease, and sometimes OHKOing Cyclohm, Jirachi, Metagross and Tyranitar as well without breaking a sweat. Megahorn deals with Celebi, Latias and the other Psychic types...
