[overview]
**Draft Order**: Round 6 onwards

**Price Range**: 7-8 points

**Overview**: Paldean Tauros-W bullies many top-tier threats with its solid defensive profile and access to Intimidate, making it a potent pick to fill out teams. It's most commonly used as a defensive pivot, but it can surprise foes with a Choice Band or Choice Scarf. Though Paldean Tauros-W theoretically has a number of sets it can run, it is hampered by its relatively mediocre special bulk, lack of solid utility moves and pivot options, and middling Attack and Speed. These drawbacks keep it from finding a place on more teams, as it is generally outclassed by higher-cost options.

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Defensive Pivot**: Despite not actually having a pivoting move, Paldean Tauros-W can switch into many foes, drop their attack with Intimidate, then switch out or force chip damage onto whatever switches in.

**Choiced Attacker**: Paldean Tauros-W can bulldoze over foes with a Choice Band in combination with high-Base Power STAB moves like Close Combat and Wave Crash. Alternatively, it can be a potent revenge killer with a Choice Scarf.

**Setup**: Bulk Up can be used to beef up Paldean Tauros-W and make it a threatening wincon that can either boost its Speed with Trailblaze to secure the win or simply use its bulk to survive hits and strike back.

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB Moves**: Raging Bull, Close Combat, Wave Crash, Aqua Jet, Body Press

**Setup Moves**: Bulk Up, Trailblaze

**Utility Moves**: Chilling Water, Substitute, Protect

**Coverage**: Earthquake, Iron Head, Outrage, Stone Edge, Zen Headbutt, Wild Charge, Lash Out

Niche Moves
========
**Reversal**: Reversal can be used alongside Endure to give Paldean Tauros-W an extremely strong STAB attack that can punch holes through teams.

**Rest / Sleep Talk**: Rest is Paldean Tauros-W's only recovery move, and it can be combined with Chesto Berry to fully heal it and get it back in the ring. Sleep Talk can also be paired with Rest to turn it into a bulky RestTalk user.

Common Items
========
**Choice Band**: Choice Band turns Paldean Tauros-W into a threatening physical attacker, letting it muscle through checks and making it a potent wallbreaker.

**Choice Scarf**: Using a Choice Scarf turns Paldean Tauros-W into a revenge killer, weakening physical attackers with Intimidate while threatening to outspeed and KO them.

**Sitrus Berry**: Cud Chew turns Sitrus Berry into an extremely strong form of healing, giving Paldean Tauros-W the boost it needs to stick around and check threats. Even on Intimidate sets, it can provide a burst of healing to let it survive through certain 2HKOs.

**Rocky Helmet**: Resisting U-turn means Paldean Tauros-W can switch in, take little damage from pivots, and wear them down with Rocky Helmet. Intimidate can further reduce the power of U-turn as well as Knock Off, making it a great Knock Off absorber.

**Leftovers**: Paldean Tauros-W has no natural reliable recovery, so defensive sets are dependent on Leftovers if they want to stick around.

Niche Items
========
**Lum Berry**: Status is a huge weakness for Paldean Tauros-W, so avoiding it with a Lum Berry lets it check foes that want to shut it down with Will-O-Wisp or Thunder Wave.

**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Despite resisting Stealth Rock damage, Paldean Tauros-W likes running Heavy-Duty Boots, since it does not want to take lots of chip damage switching in, as it inhibits its role as a defensive pivot.

**Eject Pack**: Eject Pack grants Paldean Tauros-W a single-use pivot when using Close Combat.

**Damage-boosting Items**: Paldean Tauros-W can use damage-boosting items in combination with setup moves to hit damage thresholds without locking itself into any one move.

Tera
========
Paldean Tauros-W is an underwhelming, if perfectly serviceable, secondary Tera Captain that can pair with a high-tier Tera Captain. If chosen, a strong offensive typing like Tera Fighting, Water, or Ground can make its Choice sets extremely threatening. It also has the luxury of having solid defensive Tera options such as Tera Steel, Fairy, and Ghost to check specific threats and beef up its type matchups. Defensive Tera types can also enable Bulk Up sets by letting Paldean Tauros-W flip type matchups and survive that one turn it needs to set up.

Draft Strategy
========
Paldean Tauros-W is drafted to fill defensive holes with its solid number of resistances and good bulk. It generally wants to be running offensive sets more often than defensive ones, but It's very good at checking specific threats that its teammates might not be equipped to, like both Urshifu forms, Palafin, and Great Tusk. Paldean Tauros-W lacks common utility that other Pokemon in its tier have access to, such as Knock Off, entry hazards, and pivoting, so it is important to make sure those roles are filled before drafting it.

**Entry Hazards**: Entry Hazards help tenderize foes for Paldean Tauros-W to clean up, giving it just the oomph it needs to secure KOs as a wallbreaker. Ting-Lu, Iron Treads, and Garchomp can spread hazards for it to take advantage of.

**Speed Control**: Speed creep has hit Paldean Tauros-W hard, and its medium Speed tier leaves it vulnerable to faster Pokemon in the meta when it is not running Choice Scarf. Faster Pokemon like Deoxys-S, Greninja, and Sneasler can help handle faster foes.

**Pivots**: Paldean Tauros-W can be switched to by fast pivots to soak an attack and force foes to switch out, giving it options to set up, wallbreak, or just switch again to another threat. Meowscarada, Jirachi, and Zapdos pair particularly well with it.

Checks and Counters
========
**Physical Walls**: Paldean Tauros-W has no status or disruption moves to threaten physical walls with, so Pokemon like Garchomp, Slowking, and Toxapex can ensure it isn't able to make progress.

**Status**: Paldean Tauros-W is completely shut down by being burned, and paralysis can severely hamper its ability to outspeed foes and set up. Poison can also wear it down quickly due to its lack of recovery options outside of Rest. It needs to be careful of Pokemon like Rotom-W and Gengar that can burn it with Will-O-Wisp, Static from Pokemon like Zapdos and Bellibolt, and Toxic from Pokemon like Slowking and Tentacruel.

**Faster Threats**: There are no shortage of Pokemon like Meowscarada and Tornadus-T that can outspeed Paldean Tauros-W and threaten to OHKO it with a STAB-boosted super effective attack.

**Special Attackers**: Due to Paldean Tauros-W's lack of special bulk, it cannot check special wallbreakers like Landorus, Darkrai, and Raging Bolt.

[overview]
**Draft Order**: Round 5 and onwards

**Price Range**: 8-10 points

**Overview**: The cooler Paldean Tauros Paldean-Tauros-Aqua (I'd keep this clear cut and not use a different name for the mon) bullies many top-tier threats with its solid defensive profile and access to intimidate, making it a potent pick to fill out your team. It can run a variety of sets, from Choice Band or Scarf to fully Defensive to Bulk Up sweeper. It can even imitate a Belly Drum sweeper with Anger Point against certain guaranteed critical hit moves. (Personally think this is too niche to mention in overview) Its versatility makes it a jack-of-all-trades but a moo-ster of none, giving it a lot of set variety and options to keep your opponent guessing without excelling at any one particular niche. It is hampered by relatively mediocre special bulk, a lack of solid utility moves or pivot options, as well as medium Attack and Speed.

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Choiced Attacker**: Paldean-Tauros-Paldea-Aqua can bulldoze over foes with a Choice Band in combination with high base power STAB moves like Close Combat and Wave Crash. Alternatively, it can be a potent revenge killer with a Choice Scarf waving in front of it.

**Setup**: Bulk Up can be used to beef up Tauros and make it a threatening win condition that can either boost its speed with Trailblaze to secure the win, or simply use its bulk to survive hits and strike back.

**Defensive Pivot**: Despite not actually having a pivoting move, Tauros can switch in to many foes, drop their attack with Intimidate, then switch out or force chip damage onto whatever switches in. It can be tailored to fit the top threats on your opponent's team.

Common Moves

**Primary STAB Moves**: Raging Bull, Close Combat, Wave Crash, Aqua Jet, Body Press

**Setup Moves**: Bulk Up, Trailblaze

**Utility Moves**: Chilling Water, Substitute, Protect

**Coverage**: Earthquake, Iron Head, High Horsepower, Outrage, Stone Edge, Zen Headbutt, Wild Charge, Lash Out (Only Dark Coverage move it gets hits things like Brambleghast which resists both of its STABs and doesn't have any other coverage for)

Niche Moves
========
**Endure**: Famously used with Custap Berry or Salac Berry, (Maybe add Liechi Berry and could consider Reversal) to turn the tables on opponents looking to sweep.

**Rest**: Tauros's only recovery move, it can be combined with Chesto Berry to fully heal Tauros and get it back in the ring.

Common Items
========
**Choice Band**: Choice band turns Tauros into a threatening physical attacker, letting it muscle through checks and making it a potent wallbreaker.

**Choice Scarf**: Waving the red scarf can direct Using a Choice Scarf turns Tauros into becoming a revenge killer, weakening physical attackers with Intimidate while threatening to outspeed and kill them.

**Leftovers**: Tauros has no natural reliable recovery, so defensive sets are dependent on Leftovers if they want to stick around.

**Damage-Boosting Items**: Tauros can use these in combination with setup moves to hit damage thresholds without locking itself into any one move.

Niche Items
========
**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Despite resisting Stealth Rock damage, Tauros does not want to take lots of chip damage switching in, as it inhibits its role as a defensive pivot.

**Assault Vest**: Tauros can shore up its special bulk and check threats like Chi-Yu and Darkrai with a nice vest strapped on.

**Rocky Helmet**: Resisting U-turn means Tauros can switch in, take little damage from pivots, and wear them down.

**Eject Pack**: Eject Pack grants Paldean-Tauros-Aqua a single use pivot free one-time U-turn just by clicking Close Combat.? Sign me up!

**Salac Berry/Liechi Berry**: Since you mention them in combination with Endure I would add them here. I'd also mention Cud Chew as an option for them to be an SD/Agility respectively

Tera
========
Tauros is an underwhelming, if perfectly serviceable secondary Tera captain that can pair with a medium tier Tera captain. If you chose it, a strong offensive typing like Fighting, Water, or Ground can make its Choice sets extremely threatening. It also has the luxury of having solid defensive Tera options, such as Steel, Fairy, or Ghost to check specific threats and beef up its type matchups. Defensive Tera options also help the Bulk Up set, could mention that

Draft Strategy

**Hazard Removal**: Tauros would much rather be carrying a Choice item or Leftovers than Heavy-Duty Boots, so good hazard removal from Pokemon like Terapagos, Corviknight, or Donphan can ensure it's able to carry the item of its choice.

**Speed Control**: Speed creep has hit Tauros hard, and its medium speed tier leaves it vulnerable to most Pokemon in the meta when not running Choice Scarf. Faster Pokemon like Deoxys-Speed, Greninja, or Sneasler can help ensure Tauros is able to keep up.

**Pivots**: Tauros can be switched into by fast pivots to soak an attack and force foes to switch out, giving Tauros options to set up, wallbreak, or just switch again into another threat. Meowscarada, Jirachi, and Zapdos pair particularly well with it.

Checks and Counters
========
**Burn / Paralysis**: Tauros is completely shut down by being burned, and paralysis can severly hamper its ability to outspeed foes or set up for sweeps. It needs to be careful of Pokemon like Rotom-Wash or Gengar who can burn with Will-o-Wisp, or Zapdos or Bellibolt's Static abilities that can paralyze on contact.

**Faster Threats**: There are no shortage of Pokemon like Meowscarada or Tornadus-T who can outspeed Tauros and threaten to OHKO it with a STAB super effective attack.

**Physical Walls**: Tauros has no status or disruption moves to threaten physical walls with, so pokemon like Hattrene, Galarian Slowking, or Toxapex can ensure it isn't able to make progress.

QC1, needs a solid amount of inclusions but getting there. You can credit TwentyTwan he had some good shouts

It can run a variety of sets, from offensive Choice Band or Scarf to fully Defensive to Bulk Up sweeper. It is hampered by relatively mediocre special bulk, a lack of solid utility moves or pivot options, as well as medium middling Attack and Speed.

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Choiced Attacker**: Paldea-Tauros-Aqua can bulldoze over foes with a Choice Band in combination with high base power STAB moves like Close Combat and Wave Crash. Alternatively, it can be a potent revenge killer with a Choice Scarf.

========
**Primary STAB Moves**: Raging Bull, Close Combat, Wave Crash, Aqua Jet, Body Press

**Setup Moves**: Bulk Up, Trailblaze

**Utility Moves**: Chilling Water, Substitute, Protect

**Coverage**: Earthquake, Iron Head, High Horsepower move to niche and explain it is used in Grassy Terrain, Outrage, Stone Edge, Zen Headbutt, Wild Charge, Lash Out

Niche Moves
========
**Endure**: Famously used with Custap Berry, Liechi Berry, or Salac Berry to turn the tables on opponents looking to sweep. It can also boost Reversal and make it an incredibly strong STAB attack.

Either add a section for reversal or cut it from the Endure section, I'm not picky just gotta be consistent.

**Rest / Sleep Talk**: Tauros's only recovery move, it can be combined with Chesto Berry to fully heal Tauros and get it back in the ring. Add mention of Sleep Talk as well.

Common Items
========
**Choice Band**: Choice band turns Tauros into a threatening physical attacker, letting it muscle through checks and making it a potent wallbreaker.

**Choice Scarf**: Using a Choice Scarf turns Tauros into a revenge killer, weakening physical attackers with Intimidate while threatening to outspeed and kill them.

**Sitrus Berry**: Explain this is very solid healing with Cud Chew and to avoid a 2HKO. Even works on Intim well.

**Leftovers**: Tauros has no natural reliable recovery, so defensive sets are dependent on Leftovers if they want to stick around.

**Damage-Boosting Items**: Tauros can use these in combination with setup moves to hit damage thresholds without locking itself into any one move. Move to niche

Niche Items
========
**Resistance Berries**: Explain this is good to lure and trade with a foe

**Lum Berry**: As you mention later Status is a really common check so avoiding that can be huge.

Move to common above lefties and mention synergy with Intimidate and absorbing Knock/U-turn.

**Eject Pack**: Eject Pack grants Paldean-Tauros-Aqua a single use pivot by clicking Close Combat.

**Salac Berry / Leichi Berry**: These can be used in combination with Endure to give Tauros a one-time boost. With Cud Chew, they can turn into an Agility or Swords Dance, respectively.

It's not necessary but if you are gonna mention Chesto earlier in Rest section it should be included. Same deal with how you mentioned Custap in Endure except that one synergizes nicely with Cud Chew.

Tera
========
Defensive Teras can also enable Bulk Up sets by letting Tauros flip type matchups and live that one turn it needs to set up.

Draft Strategy
========
Tauros is drafted to fill defensive holes in your team with its solid number of resistances and good bulk. It generally wants to be running offensive sets more often than defensive ones, but It's very good at checking specific threats that the rest of your team might not be equipped to, like both Urshifu forms, Palafin, or Chi-Yu. Mention it lacks utility such as pivoting, hazard setting, Knock so it needs the rest of team to cover the bases.

**Entry Hazards**: Entry Hazards help tenderize foes for Tauros to clean up, giving it just the oomph it needs to secure kills as a wallbreaker. Ting-Lu, Iron Treads, and Garchomp can spread hazards for Tauros to take advantage of.

**Hazard Removal**: Tauros would much rather be carrying a Choice item or Leftovers than Heavy-Duty Boots, so good hazard removal from Pokemon like Terapagos, Corviknight, or Donphan can ensure it's able to carry the item of its choice. Sort of unnecessary imo

========
Could probably just rework this to status and mention poison also weakens it a lot with no reliable recovery.

**Special Wallbreakers**: You mentioned earlier but strong special attackers can target it and get KOs pretty easily.

in general just too positive, i think a lot of the roles you mention are just too niche to really be talking about, and "jack of all trades" doesn't seem quite right. competition/opportunity cost definitely plays a factor as well

**Setup Moves**: Bulk Up, Trailblaze

**Utility Moves**: Chilling Water, Substitute, Protect

**Coverage**: Earthquake, Iron Head, Outrage, Stone Edge, Zen Headbutt, Wild Charge, Lash Out

Niche Moves
========
**High Horsepower**: Replaces Earthquake when either you or your opponent have a Grassy Terrain setter to ensure Tauros doesn't lose damage.

**Endure**: Famously used with Custap Berry, Liechi Berry, or Salac Berry to turn the tables on opponents looking to sweep. It can also boost Reversal and make it an incredibly strong STAB attack. think these are both self explanatory for what they do, can keep mention of endure in the reversal section

**Reversal**: Used alongside Endure to give Tauros an extremely strong STAB attack that can punch holes through teams.

**Rest / Sleep Talk**: Tauros's only recovery move, it can be combined with Chesto Berry to fully heal Tauros and get it back in the ring. Sleep Talk can also be paired with Rest to turn Tauros into a bulky RestTalk user.

**Assault Vest**: Tauros can shore up its special bulk and check threats like Chi-Yu and Darkrai with a nice vest strapped on. torn on whether to cut this, very low bulk and no recovery makes me skeptical of av although i see the vision

**Eject Pack**: Eject Pack grants Paldean-Tauros-Aqua a single use pivot by clicking Close Combat.

**Damage-Boosting Items**: Tauros can use these in combination with setup moves to hit damage thresholds without locking itself into any one move.

**Salac Berry / Leichi Berry**: These can be used in combination with Endure to give Tauros a one-time boost. With Cud Chew, they can turn into an Agility or Swords Dance, respectively.

**Chesto Berry**: Pairs with Rest to give Tauros a one-time full heal, somewhat mitigating its lack of reliable recovery.

**Custap Berry**: Along with Endure, Custap Berry can ensure Tauros can outspeed its foe and get a crucial attack off. It synergizes nicely with Cud Chew as well, making Tauros hard to revenge kill.

item section is very clunky, most of these are usable but a low/mid tier mon doesn't need 14 items listed. chopping the ones i consider most niche. cud chew is also overemphasized here.

Tera

Tauros is an underwhelming, if perfectly serviceable secondary Tera captain that can pair with a medium high tier Tera captain. If you chose it, a strong offensive typing like Fighting, Water, or Ground can make its Choice sets extremely threatening. Tauros lacks common utility that other Pokemon its its tier have access to, such as Knock Off, Hazards, or a pivoting move, so make sure those roles are filled before adding Tauros to your stable.

**Entry Hazards**: Entry Hazards help tenderize foes for Tauros to clean up, giving it just the oomph it needs to secure kills as a wallbreaker. Ting-Lu, Iron Treads, and Garchomp can spread hazards for Tauros to take advantage of.

**Special Wallbreakers Attackers**: Due to Tauros's lack of Special bulk, it can be worn down very quickly by cannot check special wallbreakers like Landorus, Darkrai, or Raging Bolt.

**Sitrus Berry**: Cud Chew turns Sitrus Berry into an extremely strong form of healing, giving it Paldean Tauros-W the boost it needs to stick around and check threats. Even on Intimidate sets, (AC) it can provide a burst of healing to let Paldean Tauros-W live it survive through certain 2HKOs.

**Rocky Helmet**: Resisting U-turn means Paldean Tauros-W can switch in, take little damage from pivots, and wear them down with Rocky Helmet. Intimidate can further reduce the power of U-turn as well as Knock Off, making Paldean Tauros-W it a great Knock Off absorber.

**Leftovers**: Paldean Tauros-W has no natural reliable recovery, so defensive sets are dependent on Leftovers if they want to stick around.

Niche Items
========
**Lum Berry**: Status is a huge weakness for Paldean Tauros-W, so avoiding it with a Lum Berry can let Tauros lets it check foes with Will-o-Wisp or Thunder Wave who want to shut it down that want to shut it down with Will-O-Wisp or Thunder Wave.

**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Despite resisting Stealth Rock damage, Paldean Tauros-W likes running Heavy-Duty Boots, since it does not want to take lots of chip damage switching in, as it inhibits its role as a defensive pivot.

**Eject Pack**: Eject Pack grants Paldean Tauros-W a single use single-use pivot by clicking when using Close Combat.

**Damage-boosting Items**: Paldean Tauros-W can use these damage-boosting items in combination with setup moves to hit damage thresholds without locking itself into any one move.

Tera
========
Paldean Tauros-W is an underwhelming, if perfectly serviceable, (AC) secondary Tera Captain that can pair with a high tier high-tier Tera Captain. If you chose it chosen, a strong offensive typing like Tera Fighting, Water, or Ground can make its Choice sets extremely threatening. It also has the luxury of having solid defensive Tera options (RC) such as Tera Steel, Fairy, or and Ghost to check specific threats and beef up its type matchups. Defensive Teras Tera types can also enable Bulk Up sets by letting Paldean Tauros-W flip type matchups and live survive that one turn it needs to set up.

Draft Strategy
========
Paldean Tauros-W is drafted to fill defensive holes in your team with its solid number of resistances and good bulk. It generally wants to be running offensive sets more often than defensive ones, but It's very good at checking specific threats that the rest of your team its teammates might not be equipped to, like both Urshifu forms, Palafin, or and Great Tusk. Paldean Tauros-W lacks common utility that other Pokemon its in its tier have access to, such as Knock Off,entry hazards , or a and pivoting move, so it is important to make sure those roles are filled before adding Tauros to your stable drafting it.

**Entry Hazards**: Entry Hazards help tenderize foes for Paldean Tauros-W to clean up, giving it just the oomph it needs to secure KOs as a wallbreaker. Ting-Lu, Iron Treads, and Garchomp can spread hazards for Paldean Tauros-W it to take advantage of.

**Speed Control**: Speed creep has hit Paldean Tauros-W hard, and its medium Speed tier leaves it vulnerable to most faster Pokemon in the meta when it is not running Choice Scarf. Faster Pokemon like Deoxys-Speed Deoxys-S, Greninja, or and Sneasler can help ensure Paldean Tauros-W is able to keep up handle faster foes.

**Pivots**: Paldean Tauros-W can be switched into to by fast pivots to soak an attack and force foes to switch out, giving Paldean Tauros-W it options to set up, wallbreak, or just switch again into to another threat. Meowscarada, Jirachi, and Zapdos pair particularly well with it.

Checks and Counters
========
**Physical Walls**: Paldean Tauros-W has no status or disruption moves to threaten physical walls with, so Pokemon like Garchomp, Slowking, or and Toxapex can ensure it isn't able to make progress.

**Status**: Paldean Tauros-W is completely shut down by being burned, and paralysis can severly severely hamper its ability to outspeed foes or and set up for sweeps. Poison can also wear it down quickly due to its lack of recovery options outside of Rest. It needs to be careful of Pokemon like Rotom-Wash or Rotom-W and Gengar who that can burn it with Will-O-Wisp, Zapdos or Bellibolt's Static abilities that can paralyze on contact from Pokemon like Zapdos and Bellibolt, and Toxic from Pokemon like Slowking or and Tentacruel.

**Faster Threats**: There are no shortage of Pokemon like Meowscarada or and Tornadus-T who that can outspeed Paldean Tauros-W and threaten to OHKO it with a STAB STAB-boosted super effective attack.

**Special Attackers**: Due to Tauros's Paldean Tauros-W's lack of special bulk, it cannot check special wallbreakers like Landorus, Darkrai, or and Raging Bolt.
