Wow, just finished watching the movie in Japanese-- I was really impressed! First pokemon movie I've seen since the deoxys one (haven't gotten around to watching lucario/manaphy yet), and I was pleasently surprised. After Movie 5 (Protecting Gods of the Water City, Lati@s), I felt they were kind of going downhill. Especially the deoxys movie relied way too much on cheap 3d CG.

I'm really big on the scenery/touch with nature side of these movies. The type of traditional-style art found in movie 4 (celebii) and 5 are really stunning. In this movie, they did a really good job on that and It was awesome. Gah, I love the art eyecandy. :D

Battles were freaking nutz too :P

Heh, yeah I liked this movie quite a bit. It looks like they obviously tried really hard with this one seeing as it is the first D/P movie out.

Honestly, the anime has gotten so much better for the D/P generation. I personally think it's because Pikachu gets its ass kicked every time it fights anything now, as opposed to when it was able to somehow take down a Dragonite no problem, or a humongous Alakazam.

The fights in this movie in partcular were really awesome though. I actually liked this more than the first movie. It was weird how the ending song was in english, but ah well. I got to watch the movie in subtitles, so I was happy. :]

Ah, if you say that Bologo maybe I will take a peek at the anime as well (I've always thought of the anime as being lacking). Yeah, this movie was awesome. I saw it in subtitles as well, though honestly I almost wish I'd gotten the chance to see it just in raw to see how well I'd have understood it.

English End song = strange, but then I also really like the song "Secret Garden" from movie 5 which was also english, so *shug*
