ORAS OU Pangoro KASH Squad

I am on mobile, so please excuse my lack of pictures.

I was really bored on PS one day, I was thinking about some lower tier mons that could put in work in OU. I went from Rotom-Mow to Slaking, but finally laid eyes on the based panda himself. Pangoro

Pangoro @ Choice Band
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Superpower
- Knock Off
- Gunk Shot
- Ice Punch/Parting Shot
(Snoop Dogg X Pangoro picture)

This Pokemon is monsterous, few teams have a switch-in. I found this Pokemon to be very appealing due to its ability to counter Mega-Sableye and OHKO it due to scrappy Superpower.
I opted for max attack with choice band to do as much wallbreaking as possible, the speed it to outspend slower things like Sylveon and Clef To OHKO them in a 1v1 situation with Gunk Shot.
Superpower and Knock off are your main two stab moves, generally throw out Knock Off early game to rid opposing mons of their items.
Ice punch And Gunk Shot are the coverage moves here, Ice Punch nails common switch-ins like gliscor, Lando-T. Gunk Shot mostly being used to Destroy any fairy that might want to come in on you.
Another option is Parting Shot, being very useful for Scizor Because it might be able to setup on their lowered offensive stats, but I find ice punch to be overall more useful.

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 16 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off
(Sweet Scizor Fanart)

Ahhhh, Bulky SD Scizor, pulling through countless battles. With its ability to check Fairy types for Panda, and uncanny ability to be a complete tank. Mega Scizor can fit onto almost all team styles.
As I said, it pairs almost perfectly with Pangoro, because it can deal with the things Pangoro can't like Mega Gard and Mega Diancie.
This thing check so many threats, and can setup on even more. I'd much rather have you check out the Smogon Analysis then have me explain.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 172 Def / 88 Spe
Bold Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Pain Split
(Picture of Real washing machine)

Rotom is OU's premier defensive pivot due to many things, it's incredible bulk, ability to pressure most leads, gain momentum with volt switch, cripple physical attackers with Willo. The list goes on.
I put Rotom here to hive me a check to things like sand-rush drill, Lando, and switch-in to Heatran.
It also goes very well with Scizor and Pangoro defensively and offensively. The 88 some EVs are to out speed adamant bisharp and breloom.

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Hidden Power [Fire]
(Latios Picture)
This Pokemon is just great, it provides a switch-in to Volc Pressures Rotom and Lando. And gives Defog support.
The set is simple, hit hard and get rid of hazards. HP fire to hit common switch-ins like Scizor and Ferro.

Tornadus-Therian @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 96 HP / 160 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Heat Wave
- Hurricane

Torn-T is about the most slappable Pokemon out there, it pressures so many common things. Also gives me a switch in to Keld(kinda) and serperior, as well as a soft check to Ferro and skarm due to heat wave. Great utility and longevity due to knock off and regenerator respectively. It found a place on my team due to its great typing and SP bulky.

Tyranitar @ Chople Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 128 HP / 252 Atk / 128 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Pursuit
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Superpower
(Generic gen 5 Sprite)

TTar is my rocker and my pursuit trapper, Chople berry+Superpower allows TTar to beat mega lop.
TTar also pursuit traps things like lati@s and Gengar that threaten the rest of my team.

ISSUES WITH TEAM: lacks good Keld and Volc switch-in, I also kinda click X vs mana and zard X, Fast offensive electrics like Raikou, mane and Thund give me tons of trouble.

Thanks for reading. Again, I'm on mobile, so don't sue me for not having a colorful post.
If you have any recommendations, please post them in the comments. Bye.

Hey MrBass . I'm going for the Team Rater Badge, so I'm looking at some teams to rate. Your team immediately caught my eye once I realized that you were using Pangoro.

pangoro.gif

Pangoro is definitely one of those Pokemon that are in a lower-tier, but they can definitely function well in OU given the right support and strategy. With awesome typing, a high Base 124 Attack combined with a very usable movepool, and the badass design that it maintains, Pangoro is severely underrated. However, this team has some minor flaws that I will attempt to correct today. First off, in no way is Pangoro a counter to Mega Sableye. I wouldn't even say that it can reliably defeat Mega Sableye 1 on 1, due to Prankster allowing Sableye to burn Pangoro before it can use Superpower. Unfortunately, Sableye will tank the attack, and proceed to stall out Pangoro because of a dastardly combination of the Burn halving your attack, and Superpower lowering your Attack stat every time.

252+ Atk Choice Band burned Pangoro Superpower vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mega Sableye: 193-228 (63.4 - 75%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Pangoro should really be carrying a Life Orb instead of a Choice Band anyway, as it will make Parting Shot more useful and give Pangoro the ability to use different moves.

Other than that, your team is very weak to Mega Sableye in general, which is why it is important not to consider Pangoro as your answer to Mega Sableye. Mega Scizor and Tyranitar are both badly crippled by burns, and Tornadus-Therian isn't powerful enough to deal substantial damage to Mega Sableye. To stop this, I think that you should replace Mega Scizor with Mega Venusaur. While Mega Venusaur cannot do much against it, it at least makes a decent switch-in into its attacks. To be completely frank, there isn't much else that you can do against Mega Sableye besides overpowering it at the right time.
venusaur-mega.png

While on the topic of Mega Venusaur, I think that it would be a much better fit on your team than Mega Scizor is. Mega Venusaur also does a good job at defeating fairies, but at the same time, it's typing and ability, Thick Fat, permits it to check Tail Glow Manaphy, Keldeo, Raikou, Serperior, Thundurus AND Mega Manectric, all in one Pokemon! That almost completely rids of your current problem list. Mega Venusaur cannot defeat Mega Gardevoir, but it can defeat Mega Diancie, and that is why I think that it is a snug fit on your team, as it checks more threats than Mega Scizor.
excadrill.gif

After the introduction of Mega Venusaur, this only leaves two threats left: Mega Gardevoir and Mega Charizard X. Because Mega Venusaur taking care of Keldeo and Serperior leaves Tornadus-Therian without a viable job, which is why you should add Excadrill to the team. Fortunately, you already have Tyranitar, which provides Sand, doubling Excadrill's team in one turn and turning it into a dangerous sweeper. Because of Excadrill's awesome Base 135 Attack and typing that allows it to get STABs on both attacks that are super-effective, quickly downing Mega Gardevoir with a quick Iron Head and knocking out Mega Charizard X with an Earthquake. Excadrill can also outspeed and OHKO Volcanion, so that isn't an issue either, laughing out loud.

gardevoir-mega.png

252+ Atk Life Orb Excadrill Iron Head vs. 16 HP / 8 Def Gardevoir: 541-640 (192.5 - 227.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Life Orb Excadrill Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Charizard X: 439-517 (147.8 - 174%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Other Options
kyurem-black.gif

You can opt to run Kyurem-Black over Latios, as Kyurem-Black is better at wallbreaking than Latios is. Excadrill can also learn Rapid Spin, so Latios will not have to remove hazards anymore. However, Kyurem-Black cannot remove hazards, and is more risky, so it is more risky. It is perfectly fine if you decide to keep Latios on your team.

Thanks a lot for your input adding mega Venu was a great idea. And I saw an immediate increase in wins on the ladder.
Good luck with you RMT badge. Have a great day :)(The increase of wins being not losing my first 4 games :p)
