Set Description

Utilizing a Choice Scarf, Kartana becomes a scary revenge killer and late game cleaner thanks to Beast Boost. Its great Speed tier lets it get the jump on many boosted threats such as Garchomp and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele as well as naturally fast Pokemon such as Weavile and Tapu Koko. Knock Off lets Kartana remove items from Pokemon it cant deal with such as Rocky Helmet from Skarmory and Corviknight as well as hitting Dark-weak Pokemon such as Galarian Slowking and Mew. Sacred Swords lets Kartana target Steel-types such as Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Melmetal while also being Kartana's best move against opposing Kartana. Defog can be used over Sacred Sword at the cost of losing coverage to Steel-types, guaranteeing Kartana to get an emergency Defog off thanks to its blistering speed which can be incredibly useful for Stealth Rock-weak teammates like Choice Band Weavile and Choice Specs Volcanion.
Team Options
========
Kartana fits well on many offensive teams. Weavile is a superb offensive partner for Choice Scarf Kartana as it can pressure annoying Flying-type Pokemon such as Zapdos and Tornadus-T for Kartana. In return, Kartana can deal with Fairy-type Pokemon such as Clefable and Tapu Fini for Weavile. Kartana can also Defog away entry hazards while also boosting the power of Beat Up if Weavile decides to run a Choice Band set. Other offensive partners such as Urshifu-R and Tapu Lele are great partners, as Urshifu-R can threaten Steel-types like Melmetal and Heatran while Tapu Lele can threaten Poison- and Fighting-types such as Toxapex and Buzzwole. In return, Kartana can revenge kill faster Pokemon such as Dragapult and Blacephalon, for them. Magnezone is a stellar partner for Choice Scarf Kartana as it can trap and remove Steel-types such as Corviknight, Skarmory, and Ferrothorn for Kartana, thus removing an annoying road block for it. Fire-type Pokemon such as Heatran, Volcanion, and Blaziken are amazing partners as they can also put pressure on Steel-types such as Corviknight and Skarmory. Heatran can also handle Toxapex and get up Stealth Rock for Kartana which can synergize well with Knock Off's removal of Heavy-Duty Boots from Stealth Rock-weak Pokemon like Zapdos and Tornadus-T while both Volcanion and Blaziken can pressure opposing Heatran and Volcarona as well as Blaziken being able to provide safe switch-ins for Kartana with U-turn if Blaziken decides to run a Choice Band set. In return, Kartana can handle bulky Water-types like Tapu Fini and Slowbro for Blaziken and Heatran as well as also being able clear entry hazards and revenge kill faster Pokemon such as Tapu Koko and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele for both Blaziken and Volcanion.
