  • Passimians Fighting-type, solid speed, and access to U-turn allows it to act as an offensive pivot on both Offense and Bulky Offense.
  • With Choice Scarf, Passimian is able to act as a revenge killer in the tier outspeeding the likes of Salazzle and Virizion
  • Passimian has an really great Attack stat and access to Defiant, allowing it to abuse Intimidate and Defog users
  • Its Fighting typing allows Passimian to pressure the hazard setters in the tier such as Registeel and Rhyperior while Knock Off threatens Metagross.
  • Knock Off and Gunk Shot provide amazing coverage to hit the Ghost-, Fairy-, and Psychic-type Pokemon that resist Close Combat
  • Passimian has a low speed stat and can be outpaced by other Choice Scarfers like Salazzle.
  • Passimian also has fierce competition with other fighting types like Bewear and Machamp.

Moves
========

  • Close Combat is Passimians most useful STAB move and spammable in most scenarios.
  • U-turn lets Passimian pivot around its counters and bad matchups
  • Knock Off is used as coverage for Psychic-, and Ghost-type Pokemon but also cripples Pokemon by removing items.
  • Gunk Shot is coverage for Fairy- and Grass-type Pokemon like Florges and Virizion.
Set Details
========

  • Choice Scarf with Jolly and max Speed maximises Passimians ability to revenge kill Pokemon, out speeding as much as it possibly can.
  • Max Attack is to enhance its wall breaking capabilities
Usage Tips
========

  • Passimian should make use of U-turn especially when obvious checks are coming out such as Slowbro or Cresselia. Especially as Close Combat has only 8 PP and can easily be wasted on obvious checks.
  • Bring Passimian in to revenge kill fragile Pokemon such as Zygarde-10%, Espeon, Swellow, and Lycanroc-Dusk as much as possible to make use of it.
  • Passimian is weak defensively and as such should only be brought in on weak or resisted attacks.
  • Passimian should also be used to revenge kill weakened Pokemon who are on low health
  • Be careful of priority users when using Close Combat as the defense drops can come into play versus it.
Team Options
========

  • Passmian works as a pivot and would very much like to pivot into Pokemon that can deal with its checks like Slowbro and Cresselia. Pokemon like Mega Blastoise, Golisopod, Drapion, and Yanmega.
  • Passimian is appreciative of hazards to chip away at Pokemon it wants to later revenge kill or clean. Hazard setters that work really well with Passimian are Registeel and Bronzong as they are able to check Flying-, Psychic-, and Fairy-type Pokemon that threaten out Passimian.
  • Passimian can also make use of a defensive backbone that check faster revenge killers. Gigalith can check both Choiced Salazzle and Noivern while offering hazard support. Florges is able to take care of other faster threats such as Yanmega and Mega Sceptile.
  • Wallbreakers like Tyrantrum and Goodra make for good partners to Passimian as they can punch holes in teams and put Pokemon in range of it.
  • Healing Wish is useful for Passimian to be useful at the latte stages of the match and Pokemon such as Gardevoir and Shaymin are able to assist with this comfortably.

move 4: Gunk Shot

nature: Jolly / Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

  • Close Combat is Passimians best STAB and hits extremely hard and very splashable, capable of breaking through Pokemon who can normally eat Close Combat from the Scarf set like Milotic
  • U-Turn provides momentum and due to Passimians slow nature is more used when its checks that outspeed like Salazzle and Virizion can revenge kill
  • Knock Off is a safe option to cripple its checks by removing their item and enforcing tons of damage
  • Gunk Shot allows Passimian to break through its normal Fighting type resists like Florges and Grass types like Virizion
Set Details
========

  • Choice Band trades Speed for more fire power using the same moves and investment
  • Jolly allows Passimian to outpace base 70 giving the jump to Tyrantrum and Metagross
  • Adamant gives Passimian an easier time wall breaking at a cost of Speed
Usage Tips
========

  • Against defensive teams, Passimian finds more opportunities to come in for free on passive Pokemon and do some massive damage.
  • Against offensive teams, Passimian prefers being brought in safely with U-turn or Volt Switch
  • Passimian must be aware on its moves as if clicking Close Combat can make Passimian vulnerable to Ghost Types
Team Options
========

  • Passimian is appreciative of hazards to chip away at Pokemon it wants to wallbreak or clean. Hazard setters that work really well with Passimian are Registeel and Bronzong as they are able to check Flying-, Psychic-, and Fairy-type Pokemon that threaten out Passimian.
  • Healing Wish is useful for Passimian to be useful at the latte stages of the match and Pokemon such as Gardevoir and Shaymin are able to assist with this comfortably.
  • Revenge killers like Salazzle and Zygarde-10% can help Passimian handle faster threats so Passimian doesn't be revenge killed and Passimian works as a slow pivot to allow the faster revenge killer to come in safely

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Fightinium Z can give Passimian a one turn nuke to bust through or weaken its counters but this set is outclassed by Sawk
Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-Types**: Fairy-Types like Florges and Gardevoir can switch in to Close Combat safely but they must be aware of Gunk Shot

**Physically Defensive Walls**: Physically sturdy threats such as Slowbro and Donphan may all switch into Passimian once and proceed to either cripple Passimian with their status moves or threaten to KO it with their respective STAB attacks.

**Poison-Types**: Poison types like Golbat and Dragalge resist Close Combat and can status Passimian or heavily dent with their attacks. Golbat doesn't appreciate Knock off, however.

HeyYo,

  • Its Fighting typing allows Passimian to pressure the hazard setters in the tier such as Registeel and Rhyperior while Knock Off threatens Metagross. I would remove this point, because it is not important and not a reason why you would use Passimian in the RU tier.
  • Knock Off and Gunk Shot provide amazing coverage to hit the Ghost-, Fairy-, and Psychic-type Ghost-, Psychic-, and Fairy-type (reordering to match the order of coverage moves listed) Pokemon that resist Close Combat (Maybe give some example)
  • Passimian has a low speed stat and can be outpaced by other Choice Scarfers like Salazzle I would also add some Pokémon that are faster then non Scarf Passimian, because Choice Band ist a Set.
  • You can also add a point about CB-Set as a wallbreaker.
  • Passimian also has fierce competition with other fighting types like Bewear and Machamp. Why? I would just say something like they hit harder and have better bulk.

  • Earthquake is nice to revenge kill Toxicroak, and Salazzle. You also hit Dragalge, and Nidoqueen super effectiv.

Team Options

  • Passimian is appreciative of hazards to chip away at Pokemon it wants to wallbreak or clean. Hazard setters that work really well with Passimian are Registeel and Bronzong as they are able to check Flying-, Psychic-, and Fairy-type Pokemon that threaten out Passimian.

  • Lategame Cleaners are also good Team Options
  • You said in Usage Tips: "Against offensive teams, Passimian prefers being brought in safely with U-turn or Volt Switch" So Volt Switch and U-Turn Users like Vikavolt, Forretres and Raikou are also good.

**Fairy-Types**: Fairy-Types like Florges and Gardevoir can switch in to Close Combat safely but they must be aware of Gunk Shot

**Physically Defensive Walls**: Physically sturdy threats such as Slowbro Cresselia and Donphan in my opinion Donphan is not a good example, because you can chip away it. Maybe replace it with Tangela (it don't like Knock Off) all switch into Passimian once and proceed to either cripple Passimian with their status moves or threaten to KO it with their respective STAB attacks.

**Poison-Types**: Poison types like Golbat and Dragalge Nidoqueen resist Close Combat and can status Passimian or heavily dent with their attacks. Golbat doesn't appreciate Knock off, however. Dragalge, and Nidoqueen doesn't appreciate EQ.

Add a point about Faster Pokémon, that can revenge kill Passimian. For example Mega-Sceptile is faster then Scarf Passimian. Faster Scarfer like Noivern or Salazzle are faster then Scarf Passimian. Toxicroak, Arcanine, and Ninetales are faster then non Scarf Passimian.

Friendly AM check. Sorry if I repeat a few things you said, Holy-Darky. For some reason, I can't merge my points with yours.

This was a lot of work. I hope you can get this up to speed.
[OVERVIEW]

  • Passimians Fighting-type, solid speed, and access to U-turn allows it to act as an offensive pivot on both Offense and Bulky Offense. I feel like Passimian's appeal comes from versatility: it's able to act as a revenge killer, pivot, and wallbreaker with the coverage it needs to hit everything for at least neutral damage.
  • With Choice Scarf, Passimian is able to act as a revenge killer in the tier outspeeding the likes of Salazzle and Virizion It's also a good pivot. You need to add that.
  • Passimian has an really great Attack stat and access to Defiant, allowing it to abuse take advantage of Intimidate and Defog users
  • Its Fighting typing allows Passimian to pressure the hazard setters in the tier such as Registeel and Rhyperior while Knock Off threatens Metagross. This isn't necessary and not why you would use Passiminan. Remove this point.
  • Knock Off and Gunk Shot provide amazing coverage to hit the Ghost-, Fairy-, and Psychic-type Pokemon that resist Close Combat This is a move detail bit of info. Just add it has decent covererage to hit what it wants to in the second point.
  • Passimian has a low speed stat and can be outpaced by other Choice Scarfers like Salazzle. I wouldn't call Passimian "slow". Base 80 is pretty passable in RU and allows it to tie with Gardevoir and outspeed Necrozma, Machamp, and Mega Blastoise. Now, Choice Band is outsped by stuff like Toxicroak, Roserade, and Shaymin and Scarf is still outpaced by Choice Scarfed Noivern and Flygon.
  • Passimian also has fierce competition with other fighting types like Bewear and Machamp. As a wallbreaker, this is true, but you never explain why. I would also compare it to other pivots like Flygon, Yanmega, and Noivern and be sure to mention why it has competition with these Pokemon.
  • Why use it as a wallbreaker? Add that as a point.
  • You also need to mention stuff that can wall Passimian and mention that it gets worn down fast thanks to a lack of recovery.

move 2: U-turn
move 3: Knock Off
move 4: Gunk Shot

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

  • Close Combat is Passimians most useful STAB move and spammable in most scenarios.
  • U-turn lets Passimian pivot around its counters and bad matchups such as?
  • Knock Off is used as coverage for Psychic-, and Ghost-type Pokemon but also cripples Pokemon by removing items. such as?
  • Gunk Shot is coverage for Fairy- and Grass-type Pokemon like Florges and Virizion. Gardevoir, too.
  • Rock Slide for hitting Noivern, Golbat, and Salazzle should be an alternative here.
  • Earthquake, too: it hits Diancie and catches Salazzle and Nidoqueen off guard.
Set Details
========

  • Choice Scarf with Jolly and max Speed maximizes Passimians ability to revenge kill Pokemon, out speeding as much as it possibly can. Mention what it outspeeds here.
  • Max Attack is to enhance its wall breaking capabilities This is filler. Remove this.
  • Mention what Defiant does.
Usage Tips
========

  • Passimian should make use of U-turn especially when obvious checks are coming out such as Slowbro or Cresselia. Especially as Close Combat has only 8 PP and can easily be wasted on obvious checks. It also lowers Passimian's defenses each use, making it easier to revenge kill.
I mean, it's frailer than most Fighting-types, but I wouldn't call it frail. Also, give some examples of Pokemon Passimian can come in against. IE, passive Pokemon and stuff it can actually take.
  • Passimian should also be used to revenge kill weakened Pokemon who are on low health
  • Be careful of priority users when using Close Combat as the defense drops can come into play versus it. Remove this if you implement the above check.
  • This section feels very sparse and disorganized. You need to talk more about when to use Passimian. It's a decent lead early-game and can even clean late-game if its typical checks and counters are gone. You need to talk about when to use Knock Off and when you can use a coverage option. You also need to mention Knock Off from the opponent because although Passimian resists the move, it needs its Choice Scarf in order to pivot and revenge kill successfully.
Team Options
========

  • Passmian works as a pivot and would very much like to pivot into Pokemon that can deal with its checks like Slowbro and Cresselia. Pokemon like Mega Blastoise, Golisopod, Drapion, and Yanmega. What does this sentence mean? Are you talking about checks to Fighting-resists? I don't understand this.
ANY offensive Pokemon appreciates hazards. If anything, you should talk about hazard removers because Stealth Rock and Spikes chip away at its health. Maybe mention Spikes setters since they can bait Defog for Passimian to take advantage of.
  • Passimian can also make use of a defensive backbone that check faster revenge killers. Gigalith can check both Choiced Salazzle and Noivern while offering hazard support. Florges is able to take care of other faster threats such as Yanmega and Mega Sceptile. I get Florges, but Gigalith? That's the best you could come up with? Florges can actually stomach special attacks and heal Passimian with Wish. Other defensive Pokemon like Slowbro, Donphan, and Porygon2 are much, MUCH more useful in the long run.
  • Wallbreakers like Tyrantrum and Goodra make for good partners to Passimian as they can punch holes in teams and put Pokemon in range of it. These also like Passimian's U-turn support. On that same note, mention set up sweepers here like Raikou, Salazzle, or Virizion.
  • Healing Wish is useful for Passimian to be useful at the latte stages of the match and Pokemon such as Gardevoir and Shaymin are able to assist with this comfortably.
  • I would also add a pivoting core, special attackers (they help take out physically defensive Pokemon for Passimian), and stuff that can take Knock Off here.

Moves
========

  • Close Combat is Passimians best STAB and hits extremely hard and very splashable, capable of breaking through Pokemon who can normally eat Close Combat from the Scarf set like Milotic Did you mean spammable? Also, Milotic isn't the best Pokemon to mention here: It's still viable and all, but Passimian does not want to stay in against Milotic. Milotic can take two from full health and can either burn Passimian with Scald or recover the damage dealt. Pick something else.
  • U-Turn provides momentum and due to Passimians slow nature is more used when its checks that outspeed like Salazzle and Virizion can revenge kill Passimian isn't that slow, dude. Also this sentance doesn't make sense. Are you talking about you use U-turn against these Pokemon because that's a hard no, or are you talking about as they come in against Passimian?
  • Knock Off is a safe option to cripple its checks by removing their item and enforcing tons of damage Tons of damage implies that Knock Off is Passimian's strongest attack. Spoiler: it's not. If anything, it's more spammable than Close Combat due to its lack of drawbacks.
  • Gunk Shot allows Passimian to break through its normal Fighting type resists like Florges and Grass types like Virizion
  • Rock Slide and Earthquake, too, for the same reasons I mentioned above.
Set Details
========

  • Choice Band trades Speed for more fire power using the same moves and investment
  • Jolly allows Passimian to outpace base 70 giving the jump to Tyrantrum and Metagross It ties with Specs Gardevoir and outspeeds Necrozma.
  • Adamant gives Passimian an easier time wall breaking at a cost of Speed
  • Defiant. Lol.
Usage Tips
========

  • Oi. This is VERY barebones. This gives me no indication of how to properly use Passimian as a wallbreaker... You need to mention some of the stuff that I mentioned above.
Team Options
========

This and the next point are literally word-for-word the exact same points you mentioned for Scarf's team option... That's not a good sign.
  • This is also extremely lacking. You need to mention Fairy-checks, pivot cores, speed control, defensive cores, and what Pokemon appreciate Passimian's wallbreaking abilities. Like what sweepers like not having Steel- or Rock-types stopping them? What likes not having special walls stonewall them? What are some Pokemon that can take care of physically defensive Pokemon for Passimian? You really need to elaborate on this. It makes me think you have no idea how to use this thing and that's not a good look on an analysis...
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Fightinium Z can give Passimian a one turn nuke to bust through or weaken its counters but this set is outclassed by Sawk. Bulk Up + Fightinium Z is the set here. Also, why is it outclassed by Sawk?
  • Add Iron Head here. It also hits Fairy-types and is more accurate than Gunk Shot but the coverage isn't as good as Gunk Shot's.
Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-Types**: Fairy-Types like Florges and Gardevoir can switch in to Close Combat safely but they must be aware of Gunk Shot They don't like losing thier items with Knock Off, either.

**Physically Defensive Walls**: Physically sturdy threats such as Slowbro and Donphan may all switch into Passimian once and proceed to either cripple Passimian with their status moves or threaten to KO it with their respective STAB attacks. Cresselia goes here.

**Poison-Types**: Poison types like Golbat and Dragalge resist Close Combat and can status Passimian or heavily dent with their attacks. Golbat doesn't appreciate Knock off, however.

**Flying-types**

**Residual Damage**

**Faster Threats**

im sorry but after discussion with qc we have decided to reassign this analysis. this analysis is currently lacking major details and doesnt really get to the point of why you should consider running passimian on a team. furthermore, team options and usage tips are extremely surface-level on both sets, and is overall peppered with small errors throughout the whole analysis. if you have any further questions please pm me or ask another member of the qc team

also, Holy-Darky, please use only hide tags when amchecking. if there are any quote tags it makes it a lot harder for the qc team to go over the amcheck
