Passing Down IV's Question - Problem

hey guys so im not sure if im doing something wrong but ive been trying to breed a perfect gible since yesterday and ive hatched a thousand eggs and still nothing..most i get is 5 ivs..
the parent is a male and female with 5 different perfect ivs and one holding an everstone and the other a destiny knot..
any ideas or is it just luck?

it is rare getting 6ivs, if you here people saying perfect they mean it has 5ivs and is missing an iv it does not need

oh i see..so a garchomp with perfect ivs in everything except hp is good right?

I think that's the thread you want.

Destiny Knot passes down 5 of the potential 12 IVs of the parents. So it's up to luck, and depending on the nature, you can afford to skip an IV. I think HP is always important to have, but if you want a mixed attaker, and use naive or Rash, try to skip the IV that gets nerfed.

If you really want to breed for all 6 IVs then it will be a bit difficult. As other people have said, Destiny Knot only passes down 5 IVs from either of the parents. You could always use a power item on the other parent but you wouldn't be guaranteed 6 and you would be randomly rolling natures. Your only other option is to keep breeding your two parents and hope the 6th IV randomly rolls 31 or a value close to that.
