Passing the female's nature?

i just made my female adamant machamp hold an everstone and bred it with a hitmonchan. i waste time waiting for the baby machop to hatch and it ends up being a f**king lax nature and modest nature. can someone explain to me wtf just happened.... i thought if the female holds an everstone, it passes the nature.
 
if the female isnt holding the everstone, whats the % chance the baby will have the fathers nature? and is there anything you can do to make the eggs hatch faster?
 
The two pokemon have to have the same country

(Japanese Machamp + English Hitmonchan = nature not passing)
