[OVERVIEW]

In the Overview, you want to generalize what the Pokemon in question accomplishes in the metagame and where it stands. You will also want to cover its drawbacks and anything else that may hold it back. This should be a pretty basic recap of the Pokemon; the Overview typically does not need to be much longer than seven or eight sentences, though of course this varies from Pokemon to Pokemon and compromises can be made.

Set Details

AOA Pawmot is a devestating wallbreaker, utilising its unique STAB combination to destroy common defensive Pokemon such as Slowbro and Registeel. Knock Off can remove items from switch-ins such as Hippowdon and Reuniclus, while Ice Punch can hit Dragon- and Grass-types such as Noivern and Amoonguss for super effective damage. Mach Punch allows Pawmot to revenge kill faster targets such as Maushold and Choice Scarf Krookodile. Life Orb allows Pawmot to reach damage thresholds such as 2HKO'ing Gastrodon with Close Combat, while Heavy-Duty Boots allows Pawmot to take no damage from entry hazards, allowing it to switch into battle easier. Iron Fist can boost the power of both Ice Punch and Mach Punch to allow Pawmot to 2HKO Amoonguss with Ice Punch and having a good chance to OHKO Bisharp after Stealth Rock Damage. Tera Electric allows Pawmot to not only boost the power of Double Shock such as OHKO'ing Slowbro, but also the ability to use the move multiple times per switch-in.

Pawmot primarily fits best on offense and bulky offense teams, who heavily appreciate its ability to threaten common defensive staples such as Slowbro and Hisuian Goodra. Ground-type switch-ins such as Noivern and

Other Options
====

Seed Bomb can be utilized to OHKO both Gastrodon and Quagsire on Heavy-Duty Boots sets, though typically Pawmot is better clicking Knock Off and then using Close Combat, as it otherwise does mediocre damage into other targets. Pawmot can use the combination of Rest and Natural Cure to fully regain its HP. This works especially well in conjuction with Life Orb, which naturally wears down Pawmot. Volt Absorb can be used to allow Pawmot easier switch-in opportunities against opposing Electric-types such as Magnezone and Raikou, though it does have to be careful about their coverage options in Flash Cannon and Scald respectfully. Revival Blessing can be utilized on Pawmot, allowing it to revive a fainted teammate. This can also be used with Leppa Berry to revive 2 teammates per battle. However, Pawmot typically can struggle to reliably click this move due to its poor bulk, and it usually has to give up valuable coverage to do this. Volt Switch can be used in order to give it a pivoting option to safely get in teammates on its usual switch-ins. Choice Scarf allows Pawmot to outspeed would be revenge killers such as Gengar and Choice Scarf Galarian Zapdos.

Checks and Counters
====

**Ground-types**: Ground-types such as Hippowdon, Gastrodon and Krookodile can easily take Pawmot's Double Shock and KO it back with Earthquake. However, Krookodile has to watch out for Pawmots Close Combat, while Gastrodon is 2HKO'd by Life Orb Close Combat.

**Grass-types**: Grass-type Pokemon like Chesnaught and Amoonguss are incredibly annoying for Pawmot, as they can easily take Double Shock, while not being too scared of Close Combat. Amoonguss in particular is really good into Pawmot, as it not only resists both of its STAB options, but also can use Regenerator to heal off any damage it has sustained. Amoonguss really only fears Life Orb variants that have Ice Punch, which can 2HKO it.

**Faster Pokemon**: Pawmot can be outsped and revenge killed by the faster Pokemon in the tier such as Gengar, Choice Scarf Gardevoir and Choice Scarf Galarian Zapdos. However, Pokemon such as Maushold and Terrakion that are weak to Fighting do have to be careful about Mach Punch, as it can potentially KO them if they are too low.
