Peaked at 8th on PO.........Its Seed Flare Time!

This is the first team that got me on the ladderboard. First at 88 with 1376 before the ladder reset. Then AGAIN peaking at a whopping number 8 on the ladderboard with 1335 after the ladder reset. As the alt. Leader Sunny. After that however it crashed all the way to 1200 kicking me out of the leaderboard :(.Smogon! I NEED YOUR HELP,help me get"ITS SEED FLARE TIME!" back on the Leaderboard or I'll have to throw a Mudkip into the Hudson river :pirate:

The team revolves around a F/G/W core with Dragonite :toast:

Gallade (M) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Steadfast
EVs: 124 HP / 244 Atk / 140SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- Close Combat
- Ice Punch

Amazing.Lum Berry+SD = ownage from the onset. Excellent stuff against most leads. It unlike Machamp can actually survive a Psychic :O also it stays far past the early stages of the game usually remaining to clean up the bits and pieces of the opposing team. Here's how it mtches up against some of the more common leads:

Azelf? Let it SR then Shadow Sneak twice.
Heatran? Close Combat
Machamp? SD + CC ftw!
Roserade? um Ice punch + Shadow Sneak > you?
Metagross? :( fuck you
Infernape? Close Combat+Shadow Sneak says hai
Swampert? SD time baby

Dragonite @ Life Orb
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Spd / 252 SAtk
Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Superpower
- ExtremeSpeed
- Fire Blast
- Draco Meteor

My go to man for the ever so common Skarmory,Shaymin,Celebi, a lot of other stuff. It just loves coming in on free on Earthquakes and Earth Power's directed at my Heatran, and using that bombtastic Draco Meteor to rip stuff up,it really helps me to break through walls with those insane boosted attacking stats.Superpower is something 'Mence wishes it had :)
It really gives Dragonite its own niche

Shaymin @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 12 HP / 244 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Seed Flare
- Rest

My main man. Shaymin is awesome. I wish I had that picture of Shaymin with Specs :(. Anyway Seed Flare > all. It my surprisingly sturdy answer to LO Cune,Jolteon(yes it can survive an HP:Ice with a lot to spare) oh and btw Scizor can't stop me baby, cuz Shaymin is that bulky, also hi there Blissey and Snorlax got Seed Flare Sp.Def Drop? DIE

Swampert @ Rindo Berry
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake
- Roar

This is my study SR set-up,and embarrasingly my Infernape lure, yes it does FUCK me up. So EQ for him. My sleep taker I guess :/.Rindo Berry is there specifically for Infernape, and also I'm thing of replacing him. Not really doing too much frankly, suggestions?

245.png

Suicune @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 72 HP / 204 Spd / 228 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Electric]

yay for Suicune! Quick, fast and my one-stop counter to Gyarados, the added speed of this set is genuinely useful, letting me beat stuff normally my bane such as Celebi, and Zapdos to the punch, with SR and CM + LO,stuff that would normally stop Suicune now can't even touch it.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast
- Explosion

Really synergetic with the rest of the team. My pivot member,my playmaker,my Messi :naughty:. A lot of the time immediately after sending Heatran into an opposing Heatran , they see me and switch to a dragon thinking,"ha ha they never........" BOOM HP ICE TO THE FACE,and after coming in to predicted HP:Fire's they pivot directly to Heatran generally earning me a free Earth Power kill, also a wonderful revenge killer.

Hey Master Sunny-Ex,

Nice team you have there looks pretty solid with a good offensive core. I have a few suggestions that may help your team out.

This team has covered up most of it's common weaknesses all I really see is trouble against mix infernape and the team doesn't do well against a wish/protect blissey. I would suggest you use starmie over suicune because it helps against your infernape weakness and I hate seeing rindo berry on swampert when you should obviously use leftovers. LO starmie gives you immediate power without wasting turn to set up a calm mind.

Starmie @ Life Orb
Natural Cure : Timid
4 Hp / 252 SpA / 252 Speed
~ Thunderbolt
~ Ice beam
~ Hydro Pump
~ Recover

Pretty standard set without rapid spin seeing as you don't need it and this set gives you better coverage. Backed up with life orb letting you hit harder and with base 115 speed you clearly out speed many more pokes that suicune can't.

Good Luck with the team!

hey that Starmie is quite awesome, itd ALSO let me remove stupid Rindo Berry from Swampert,hmmm.......But it nets me a pursuit weakness as well :/.

Alright I'll try it ^^

Also I've been Testing Lead Metagross with EQ/MM/BP/Explosion @ Lum Berry. Really good. Really helps with my Lead Champ weakness

hi scimjara. i love the team, most of the pokes on it are my faves. only thing i can see (apart from what Sunny said) is maybe run leftovers on Suicune? if you want to get a good setup, you don't want it dying to LO

Hi, great team. The only thing I'm going to recommend is switching Swampert for a Gyarados. Gyarados is a great Infernape counter, and can survive a LO Stone Edge after intimidate and OHKO back with Waterfall. It also can't really switch in, as you outspeed after a Dragon Dance. I'm only hesitant because that gives you two electric weaknesses and no immunities. Regardless, Standard 'Dos should fit your needs well:

Gyarados@Life Orb
Jolly/Adamant, 252Att, 252Spe, 4 Def
Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Earthquake
Stone Edge

Dragon Dance is for setup, while Waterfall is the obvious STAB. Gyara can outspeed most electrics after a DD, so Earthquake is an good choice to OHKO them. Stone Edge takes care of Zapdos, opposing Gyarados, Dragonite, and other fliers trying to ruin your fun.

If that bugs you, Cresslia can wall Infernape all day, and can use him to set up Calm Mind boosts or can cripple him with thunder wave, leaving him easy pickings for the rest of your team. I'd recommend a set like this:

Cresslia@Leftovers
Calm Nature, 252 HP, 200Def, 56 Sp.D
Rest
Ice Beam
Charge Beam/Calm Mind
Thunder Wave/Sleep Talk

Rest grants full HP recovery and status removal, and is much more consistent than Moonlight. Ice Beam and Charge Beam give you BoltBeam coverage and a way toraise her poor Sp.A, while Calm Mind can boost Cresslia to ungodly bulkiness at the cost of electric coverage. Thunder Wave cripples common switch-ins such as Gengar, while Sleep talk prevents you from being setup bait while resting.

Great team, and good luck getting back on the leaderboards!

On one hand, I'm thrilled to see someone using Gallade as a lead. On the other hand, your Gallade leaves much to be desired. here's a much more effective lead Gallade:

Gallade @ Life Orb
Ability: Steadfast
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 4HP/252Atk/252Spe
Moves:
Zen Headbutt
Close Combat
Shadow Sneak
Ice Punch

With regards to the leads you present, with the above Gallade you get the following results:
Azelf is still 2HKO with Shadow Sneak.
Heatran is now outsped by Gallade.
Zen Headbutt cripples Roserade, and Gallade still has just enough special bulk to eat a Leaf Storm.
Metagross and Swampert are wrecked by a pair of Close Combat.
Infernape falls as easily, except now you can use Zen headbutt instead of Close Combat, thus averting a defense drop.
Finally, Machamp is outsped and OHKO'd by Zen Headbutt.
