Pelipper is a staple on every rain team, singlehandedly being the reason the entire archetype can be used thanks to Drizzle. Choice Specs Pelipper is a fantastic wallbreaker, as its Hurricane and Hydro Pump are capable of ripping through some of the bulkiest walls and threats to the type such as Mega Venusaur, Gastrodon, Toxapex, and Celesteela. With U-turn, Pelipper can safely bring in teammates such as Mega Swampert to take advantage of the rain it provides. Pelipper is also the only viable Pokemon on rain teams that is capable of clearing hazards thanks to Defog. It is always important to preserve Pelipper, as it allows teammates like Mega Swampert to take advantage of Swift Swim and allows other wallbreakers such as Keldeo to take full advantage of boosted Water-type attacks. Pelipper enjoys offensive teammates that can take advantage of rain such as the ones listed above, as well as Choice Scarf Greninja, can revenge kill many threats to Pelipper such as Tapu Koko with Gunk Shot and Latios with Ice Beam. It also appreciates Toxapex as a teammate, which acts as a defensive pivot and boosts Pelipper's wallbreaking power by providing constant chip damage with Toxic Spikes.

Because of this, it is always important to preserve Pelipper, even in matchups where it will not see any use outside of setting rain such as against Electric,
- say something like "in order to constantly set rain throughout...". I think the thing about electric mus kinda bleh considering preserving peli for its friends to abuse is a general concept
