Checks and Counters
===================
**Electricity** Any Electric-Type attack tends to take Pelipper down, so a Zebstrika or a Raichu can quickly force a switch out
**Prediction** If an opponent notices an opening for your Pelipper to come in and clear SR, they can quickly switch off to a check, and Pelipper will be worn down very quickly by Stealth Rock, allowing faster Pokemon to finish it off before it can Defog
**Taunt** Taunt users such as Misdreavus can force Pelipper to use Scald (if U-Turn isn't being run on the set) and as such can leave it as set-up fodder for bulky special attackers who want to get a CM off
- Respectably bulky, with a mediocre SAtk stat
- Access to Defog, a vital move in today's PU metagame
- Scald and U-Turn couple to either cripple or steal momentum
- Weak to Stealth Rock, a hazard it has to clear very often
- Electricity is like kryptonite

Moves
========
- Staple here is Defog, which is Pelipper's main role
- Roost allows for effective recovery after switching in to Stealth Rock
- Scald can burn the physical attackers that Pelipper is often not afraid of
- Air Slash allows coverage on Fighting- and Grass-Types primarily
- U-Turn is a great way to win momentum
Set Details
========
- The EVs here are designed to maximize Pelipper's physical bulk, with 248 HP EVs letting it take less damage from Stealth Rock
- Leftovers are there to give Pelipper recovery and increase longevity
Usage Tips
========
- Pelipper can switch in to some common physical attackers, using Defog to clear hazards on your side
- Alternatively, Pelipper can simply Scald a physically offensive Opponent.
- Can also U-Turn out if momentum is a priority
Team Options
========
- Pokemon that compliment Pelipper include Lickilicky or Probopass, specially defensive, to absorb what Pelipper cannot
- Also, ground types can absorb Electric-Type and tank Rock-Type moves, allowing them to be a good candidate for Pelipper to U-Turn off to, such as Golem

Moves
========
- Defog is main role for Pelipper
- Roost can give instant recovery, keeping it healthy after switching in on Stealth Rock
- Scald as a good STAB move with burn chance
- Air Slash allows coverage on Fighting- and Grass-Types
- U-Turn is a great way to win momentum
- Toxic can cripple sweepers that try to use Pelipper as set-up fodder, or ruin the plans of anything trying to stall out the team
Set Details

- The EVs here are designed to maximize Pelipper's special bulk, with 248 HP EVs letting it take less damage from Stealth Rock
- Leftovers are there to give Pelipper recovery and increase longevity
Usage Tips
========
- Pelipper can switch in to many Grass- and Fire-Types, mostly special attackers, such as Roselia or Heatmor using Defog to clear hazards on your side
- Alternatively, Pelipper can simply Scald a physically offensive switch-in
- Can also U-Turn out if momentum is a priority
Team Options
========
- Pokemon that compliment this Pelipper set include physically defensive Pokemon that resist Electric-Type moves, such as Piloswine or Stunfisk, allowing the two to work in defensive cohesion
- A Volt Switch user can also be coupled with Pelipper, such as Probopass, to come in and out using these two defensive pivots to gain momentum
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
- Pelipper can access Hurricane which is very powerful but inaccurate
- It can be run on a Rain team with Hurricane to mitigate this, but is still not an offesive powerhouse by any standards
- Can be used as an offensive pivot, using U-Turn to switch off appropriately
