Introduction:
-This team started off with the idea that many of the electric sweepers in UU are fairly underrated specifically the likes of Raikou and Zapdos. Make no mistake choice specs boosted thunderbolt from Zapdos in particular will place a majority of the game in a world of hurt. Although Zapdos is truly amazing the onslaught of sand teams can really hamper its ability so I’ve placed several teammates in the team to help in the fight against sand and the extremely underrated threat of Stoutland.
-The team was initially thrown together somewhat haphazardly.

-Of course the fire water grass core is my normal starting place on UU teams last gen. I wanted some form of priority, so I elected Bisharp because it had useful resist. Whimsicott was a Pokemon I was just delighted to use in UU when it dropped because I had some decent success with it at the launch of Black and white. Darmanitan although not super-fast or practically, bulky hits very hard and I had somewhat a problem with steels otherwise. Milotic was also a Pokemon I enjoyed using so it saw a spot on the team. Azelf was thrown in just have SR somewhere on the team. Of course a team as wildly thorn together had very mixed results and changed quite a few times sense then to what is now, keeping only the Darmanitan and Zapdos core of using U-turn and Volt Switch to gain initiative.
Overview of the revised team:
-The team went from balance to a much more offensive style using U-turn and Volt Switch to take the advantage. By no means does the team have stay a hyper offense team.

The Revised Team In depth:
-I got a little long winded and wrote a little more than most RMT's I had seen, so I put an absolute Maximum of a sentence of information under the paragraph for those that don't have the time or effort to read every thing.
Mamoswine (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Snow Cloak
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
-Why don't more people use this guy? Earthquake is always a helpful move to have on hand for any Pokemon and with STAB and a nice 130 base attack to launch it there is no reason not be using it. Ice shard gave me some priority this team otherwise would have lacked when replacing Bisharp helpful for dealing with Flygon as well. Icicle crash can useful for flying types coming in to take an expected earthquake. Stealth rocks needed a place on the team and superpower, although nice for Chansey, I have other methods for dealing with it. Scaring out many pokes with the threat of ice shards and EQs it’s easy to find a time to just set up SR. Mamoswine’s has been life saver with high natural bulk allowing to survive some other wise devastating blows and denting something even if it dies in the process. Mamoswine although not by intention became somewhat a suicide lead although not taking lead very often like the next Pokemon.
-LO Mamo with stealth rocks
Roserade (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Giga Drain
- Sleep Powder
- Sludge Bomb
- Substitute
-While using Whimsicott I thought to myself, what is a more annoying grass type to deal with than it, and it kept sweeping me over and over till I decided to put one on myself. Good lord sleep powders and Giga drains constantly keeping its health up while 2HKOing many Pokemon that don’t resist it, it naturally should find a place on team’s hence why it's the number one in the October usage statics. Many people use spikes and you could argue either variant of spikes is more useful than substitute but from what I’ve found Roserade forces many switches and the time set up a sub to scout movesets or even go for kills. Life orb sludge bomb hits harder than expected on pokes that don't resist and Giga Drain is no slouch keeping Roserade alive and able to weaken teams significantly for Zapdos. The only real downfall to Roserade would be it's less than spectacular speed and the next Pokemon complements nicely with Roserade’s typing and covers it's speed deficiency.
-LO Roserade with sub
Darmanitan (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Rock Slide
-Darmanitan. Is. Boss. There was a good reason I kept it on the team. Very few Pokemon aren't 2HKO by something Darmanitan has and those Pokemon Darmanitan can’t will just simply take a U-turn with some good damage behind it. Sheer force Flare Blitz is just too much. Many Pokemon just can’t take the heat such as bulky attacking Rotom-H or offensive Milotic who resist it even. What Flare Blitz isn't hitting hard more than likely superpower or rock slide will. Rock slide deals easily with opposing fire types as well as flyers, also it's not 80% accurate which helps. Superpower hurts rock types that could give this team some trouble. U-turn is an excellent move on Darmanitan allowing it hit psychic types and scout the opponent’s items after being hit and having time to view the after turn effects. Darmanitan is not all that durable even with the massive 105 base HP stat it's pathetic base 55 defenses are horrid and the next Pokemon can easily take most of the hits in UU.
-Scarf Darmanitan
Dusclops (M) @ Eviolite Trait: Pressure
EVs: 232 HP / 48 Atk / 60 Def / 168 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Sneak
- Pain Split
- Sunny Day
-Replacing A previously Used Cobalion this dusclops has been very helpful in the fight against Alakazam and Stoutland alike. Alakazam only muster 3HKO on this Dusclpos, while it threatens back a 2HKO on it. Stoutland also gets quite the neuter when burned or when sun goes up cutting it's speed allowing Darmanitan to wreck havoc with a sun boosted Flareblitz. Pain slpit keeps Dusclops around awhile and able to deal with several threats taking laughable damage from most attacks. The EV spreed is wired but the idea was to place a large amount in its Health as that was most important to it. The little placed in Attack is so Shadow Sneak is always a 2HKO on Zam. the special defence was placed with as little needed to survive An initial psychic and than a shadow ball from Zam. The remaining was used in dfence with the final outcome reaching 279 health, 467 defense, and an astounding 557 Special defense. These monstrous defenses are made even better with the help of the Next pokemon.
-Bulky Duscolps with shadow sneak and sunny day.
Xatu (M) @ Light Clay Trait: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- U-turn
- Wish
-I've come to the conclusion of the dual screener contest that Xatu wins out with the need to beat machamp handled by Dusclops. Xatu's ability to bounce stealth rocks and sleep powder back turns what was the greatest downfall of this team to it's greatest strength. As per what I wanted out of this slot it can dual screen and since it's not tauntable it's a little better than Claydol or Cress were in this spot. Wish has come in handy helping Dusclops out seeing as it's little health is easily replinished, and other pokemon like Roserade and Darmanitan could always use the boost as their health is always draining in some way. Im finding Xatu fairly Necessary now
to always be their to deny stealth rocks and provide a major buff for the next pokemon on the team.
-Dual screener psychic type
Zapdos @ Choice Specs
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Heat Wave
-Specs Zapdos is so underrated right now it can deal some very amazing damage with thunderbolt annihilating water and flying types and threatening Pokemon that don't resist. Volt switch keeps momentum in my favor allowing Darmanitan and Zapdos just keep dancing around teams till they get the advantage. Hidden power grass is over all more important hitting Quagsire and other bulky grounds. Hidden power grass is also useful for overall prediction allowing the choice to either hit a present water type or hit the incoming ground type. Heat wave is very nice for enemy Roserade in particular sense I don't run into many scarf variant, Steel and Ice types also wouldn't like to switch in on it. Zapdos is somewhat tricky to use and requires some prediction to reach its full potential. Zapdos was chosen over two others in Jolteon and Raikou. I chose Zapdos over them because even though they are faster and have no SR weakness, they don't hit nearly as hard. Raikou can be nice in some situations over Zapdos simply because I don't have to worry about winning speed ties but it misses on the OHKO's and 2HKO's that Zapdos would get, also a Ice/Electric/Ghost coverage isn't as appealing as Grass/Fire/Electric.
-Specs/LO Dos, Raikou, Jolteon
Problems:
-Overall this team has been seeing good results and my only major losses would be to some unfortunate crits and other unlucky acts as well as my own bad plays. Also I can’t say I haven’t gotten lucky bringing the right variant of Pokemon such as Life orb Raikou over Zapdos some games. My most major concern is Machamp and that the team overall resorts to throwing away several Pokemon to revenge one. I can’t really see improving its longevity to deal with stall teams as well. Much help appreciated. If you would like a importable version just let me know.
Small Threat List of the Top 10 Pokemon of UU By Usage in October:
Roserade: Darmanitan deals with it nicely with Flare Blitz as does Zapdos with Heat wave.
Donphan: Roserade can deal with it after some reflect suport, Mamoswine can also bring Icicle Crash and can take an earthquake.
Chandelure:It will probally take revenging it with either Darmanitan or after some prior damage zapdos can kill with T-bolt.
Alakazam: Definatlly take revenge or prediction, best soulution is to bring in cress and set up screens to help.
Machamp: Hope cress doesn't get confused to much or it will take about three of Pokemon down with it.
Hippowdon: Roserade works well as most tend to lead giving roserade the initiative in the battle.
Hitmontop: Cress can handle it just fine and generally if it's needed most Pokemon on the team can take it out in two hits.
Flygon: Ice shard from Mamoswine does the trick if worst comes to worst hidden power grass from Zapdos is a 2HKO an d at max health Zapdos can live one choice scarf outrage.
Suicune: Zapdos can deal with it with ease provided their is no prediction and Roserade can take it before it starts to calm mind.
Zapdos: Cobalion can stone edge offensive variants and Mamoswine can deal with the defensive versions without heat wave.
