In-Depth Look
448Lucario.PNG

Lucario @ Focus Sash
Inner Focus | Adamant
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
*Crunch
*Extremespeed
*Close Combat
*Counter
Lucario is the answer to the Jirachi problem I have occasionally. It can stop all the flinch haxes that are set upon a lot and can fight back. Extremespeed and Crunch put together can kill Starmie and Azelf. Counter is for Swampert and Hippowdon and OHKO them. This will be an unexpected suprise for some teams.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Torrent | Relaxed
252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SAtk
*Ice Beam
*Earthquake
*Stealth Rock
*Roar
This is the DDMence counter of my team. The EVs maximize its physical hit tanking, taking 3 CB Crunches from Tyranitar and having 98% chance of surviving Outrage from Salamence. Stealth Rock is a given, but make sure to throw it in early in the match to get the best out of the sweepers. Roar is a filler move, but its mainly for phazing

150px-479Rotom-Heat.png

Rotom (Heat Forme) @ Choice Scarf
Levitate | Timid
156 HP / 124 SAtk / 228 Spe
*Thunderbolt
*Overheat
*Shadow Ball
*Trick
Rotom-H is the special Revenge Killer on my team. It also has the capability of using Trick so it can cripple Blissey's and other walls. Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball for STAB and Overheat for Scizor and Lucario since it resists all their priority moves.

Scizor @ Choice Band
Technician | Adamant
248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
*U-Turn
*Bullet Punch
*Superpower
*Pursuit
The game plan is that in the early phases in the battle, after Lucario is done, use U-Turn to scout. In the mid-game, it will use Pursuit to catch those who try to flee. In the late-game, it uses Bullet Punch to catch those who are frail. Superpower is for Heatran and Magnezone.

380Latias.png

Latias @ Leftovers
Levitate | Timid
140 HP / 116 Def / 252 Spe
*Calm Mind
*Recover
*Dragon Pulse
*Surf
Latias is my main Infernape counter. It can survive all of his hits and can fight back as Hidden Power Ice Fails to OHKO it with +2. It knows Dragon Pulse to hit everyting and Surf to hit Infernape, Heatran, as well as all the Steel Types with neutral damage.

373.png

Salamence @ Life Orb
Intimidate | Rash
80 Atk / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
*Draco Metor
*Fire Blast
*Brick Break
*Roost
The team finishes off with the Classic MixMence. It has Draco Meteor to deal massive damage from the start and Fire Blast to hit the likes of both Scizor and Skarmory. Brick Break hits Tyranitar, Blissey, and Empoleon hard. Roost is over Crunch because Scizor takes care of Cresselia and Dusknoir making it somewhat useless. It also takes off the damage taken by the Life Orb and in some cases Stealth Rock.

Problems:

DD Salamence

How to fix:

Let me say this is actually a really great team, well-built and very smart. I dont want to say slap a Scarf on Latias and call it a day to check Salamence, I won't do that because with Tyranitar baiting a Scizor and killing it with Fire Punch, it frees up Latias so much more so Scarf is not required. What I will say is adding Swampert for Gliscor is an all-around better choice to check DD Salamence. Btw what opening will Salamence have? Overheat from Rotom, Superpower from Scizor. One Dragon Dance and you have no checks to it. Gliscor is your physical wall but it can't touch it, Dragon Claw versions can hurt the team. I will say adding Swampert would benefit it:

Swampert
@ Leftovers
Relaxed Nature (Def+ / Spe-)
252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpA

- Ice Beam
- Eathquake
- Stealth Rock
- Roar

Since you have Rotom as a relaible check to Lucario, you don't need Gliscor as a secondary check. I think Swampert would fit the team better, checking DD Salamence, as well as CB Tyranitar's which could also be a bothersome for teams like this. The EVs maximize its physical hit tanking, taking 3 CB Crunches from Tyranitar and having 98% chance of surviving Outrage from Salamence. Stealth Rock is a given, but make sure to throw it in early in the match to get the best out of the sweepers. Roar is a filler move, but its mainly for phazing. gl with the team.

Thanks for the rate. Surprised that you are not an official rater.

From my first impression you are a little Heatran "weak." You don't have any direct counter to Scarf/Specs but you have the proper resistances in play to get lucky / play around him / predict around him / whatever people like to call it. I want to point it out, but it probably isn't significant enough to swap around a member of the team. A Substitute/Fire Blast/Earth Power/(Toxic/Dragon Pulse) Heatran could be difficult for your team.

Now the questions : How do you match up to stall / balanced / offensive teams? I think against offensive teams you are ok. Scizor is a great patchup for lots of threats, Swampert provides balance to your team, scarfrotom is a great revenge/check to certain threats. Outside of Heatran your team matches up well to the common offensive teams and I don't have a problem with your team in this perspective.

Against a more balanced team you have to really keep up the pressure. You have some pokemon that can be setup on. Specially Defensive Skarmory can get free spikes from poor predicts from Scizor and free setups in general on Swampert. You have to set up a DDTar sweep to take out good balanced teams from what I see. Make sure you keep high pressure, be aggresive with your switches, and wear down the common counters to TTar (like Swampert who gives me the most concern for your team). Be careful about how you trick your scarf because that can make or break games with your rotom against a balanced team. I warn of this because I think the last type of team...

stall teams give you the most trouble. You have a couple pokemon that are "setup" bait in Swampert and Scizor for common spike setters. A combination of Blissey/Skarmory is really quite a problem for this team. I think the best suggestion would be to fit a mixmence in here. He really ups the pressure on balanced teams and gives stall team absolute fits. DDTar seems to be the weakest link in my opinion. You don't really try to setup a DDTar sweep - you just kind of try and let it happen. You don't have a way to wear down swampert, and don't have any great mixed threats to swap in and make the opponent scramble. Salamence helps add a more offensive element to the team and helps you compete against all types of teams much more effectively. The roostmixmence is probably your best best because your team leans more towards a balanced/offensive team and the balance and potential longetivity he provides probably mixes best for your team. I would recommend the "new" mixmence if your team was more offensive, but the classic one from the analysis will suit your needs much better.

Good luck
