VGC Physical Blaziken-Mega (First Squad)

Hey all! I'm brand new to the competitive VGC scene (I've been watching for a short while, but never played), and this is the first team I've ever built. I'm very adamant to keep my Physical Mega-Blaziken as I love it very much (move-set advice is welcomed!), but for everything else I'm open to change.

This is a Battle Spot Doubles VGC team! Currently, Mega-Gardevoir eviscerates me and I also struggle against Trick Room. I've been having problems against Rain too, but I think that might just be lack of experience. Here's the squad!

Blaziken @ Blazikenite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Low Kick
- Knock Off
- Protect

Physical sweeper Mega-Blaziken - the cornerstone of my team. It's a little cheesy, but Flare Blitz OHKOs every sweeper I've faced. A lot of Bulkier pokemon, too. Main problem here is Earthquake as it goes straight through Follow Me and destroys Blaziken. If there's an intimidate pokemon in preview he starts on the bench. 252 Atk for ridiculous damage and 252 Spe to outspeed a large amount of the metagame.

togekiss.gif

Togekiss @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 4 SpA / 28 SpD / 60 Spe
Timid Nature
- Air Slash
- Follow Me
- Protect
- Thunder Wave

Not entirely sure on Togekiss' role in the team. Originally, it was there for Tailwind but I've since removed that. As of current, I use it purely for Follow Me and as my main opener. Air Slash is also there for some beautiful hax. Togekiss is pure support but not much and I feel there's better pokemon for that, but follow me has become an integral part of some Blaziken setups so I've kept it. Max HP EVs for bulk, 164 Def for even more bulk, with 60 Spe in order to outspeed slower mons, such as those that need Trick Room but haven't set it up yet.

rotom-wash.gif

Rotom-Wash @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 44 Def / 212 SpA
Modest Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Protect

Rotom-W was originally planned to be a wall in my team, but ended up being a Bulky Special Attacker and I didn't want to run Will-O-Wisp on my Gengar. Mainly use it against the Rock/Ground types Blaziken struggles against. I take this out of Team Preview pretty much every game as it survives and covers a lot of the stuff Blaziken doesn't. 252 HP for bulk, 44 Def bc there's a lot of physical right now (might change to SpD), and 212 SpA for those powerful Hydro Pumps and Thunderblots.

gengar.gif

Gengar @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Icy Wind
- Sludge Bomb
- Protect

Gengar's my main Special sweeper. If a team doesn't look good for Blaz, I use this guy. I run Icy Wind for speed control over Will-O-Wisp as I'd rather have it on Rotom-W. That delicious Dark/Ghost is too good to pass up. Max speed EVs as I want him to keep up with some of the other sweepers.

bronzong.gif

Bronzong @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Gyro Ball
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Protect

Not sure about Bronzong - they were also intended to be a wall, but ended up being a bulky Physical as I felt I needed it. I was lacking against Psychic too, so Bronzong seemed like the only choice. I also felt I needed an Earthquake and Rock Slide is also too good to pass up. 252 HP for bulk, and 252 Atk as they're my secondary physical damage dealer.

sableye.gif

Sableye @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 72 Def / 184 SpD
Careful Nature
- Taunt
- Quash
- Ice Punch
- Protect

Sableye was honestly thrown in rather haphazardly. I felt I needed something to fight against Trick Room, but I don't think I'm using the pokemon right. I moved leftovers to Sableye and put Chesto on Bronzong because I didn't have anything to deal with sleep, and this seemed like the best trade-off. Quash is incredibly useful when coupled with Blaziken (allows me to OHKO faster sweepers such as Mega-Salamence) so I've mainly used him as pure set-up. Not entirely sure when to use Taunt. Ice Punch was thrown on as otherwise he was Taunt bait. 252 HP for bulk, with mixed defenses to be pesky. Concentrated on SpD as none of my other bulky mons have any focus in SpD.

I was previously running Tailwind on the Togekiss but I dropped it as my main sweepers were already fast enough. I'm honestly not entirely sure what I'm doing, so any help at all is very much appreciated.

Thank you for your time!

This will get removed as you need descriptions get them before the mods come. Also this is VGC so it goes under VGC.

Thank you! I did a decent amount of research but I have no experience so I just want to know if there's anything else I can do or if there's any glaring weaknesses I've yet to spot.

Mods may still remove it as some mons don't have 3 sentences of description but I'll help you a bit anyway. Aegislash and Thundurus are the two biggest threats to the team. I tried a few different things and thought this was the best. Replace Bronzong with Bisharp to help with Aegislash. Give it a Life Orb with an Adamant nature with the EVs spread of 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe and the moves Knock Off, Sucker Punch, Iron Head, Protect. You have four pokemon immune to ground so I'm surprised you don't have Landorus-T on your team because of this you could run the Choice Scarf variant but if want a slower one go with an Assault Vest with an Adamant nature and the EV spread of 140 HP / 148 Atk / 12 Def / 112 spD /96 Spe. This allows you to outspeed Bisharp and survive it's Knock Off. hope I helped and good luck :D

Ah, I'll try and add some more then. As I said, I'm still pretty new so I'm not sure what to write!

As for Aegislash, I've never had much of a problem as Blaziken clean OHKOs him even when he's in Shield Forme. Landorous-T seems like a good pickup - I completely overlooked how over-immune I am to ground. I considered Bisharp early on, but I already had a strong physical threat so I felt that space in my team was better dedicated to something else.

I'll probably drop Bronzorg and mess around with Landorus-T - thank you very much!

you want to know what to write add what the EV spread survives. I did a RMT a little while ago for an example.
