I am still trying to get a good team for singles because I love playing 6v6 the most. Please leave your comments below! I would really appreciate it ^^
Mawile @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Play Rough
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance
Mega Pokemon / Revenge Killer / Physical Attacker
With Intimidate I can drop physical attacks of my opponent's pokemon hence my mawile won't have to take as much damage as Mawile isn't very bulky naturally.
With Sucker Punch I can attack pokemon who are faster than me which can be important at times as my Mawile's EVs aren't invested in speed.
Play Rough to fight against Dragon types, Dark types and others which can't really take fairy hits.
Iron Head can be useful when I am up against any Fairy types.
With the Swords Dance there, I have to predict opponent's switches and then able to set up to ensure kills later in the game.
Why I invested so much HP in Mawile is because I don't want it to get killed one shot by my opponent as Mawile's speed isn't that great I guess I have to take some damage rather than outspeeding. Still not very sure about it.
Mienshao @ Focus Sash
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- High Jump Kick
Lead / Revege Killer / Scout / Knock Off
Having a pokemon who can fake out in my team is useful as I can deal some so called " free damage ".
Knowing that there are a lot of Aegislash out there, I have knock off just to predict if they swicth out in the first turn to counter my fake out. Knock off will be super effective against ghost types who counters fake out more importantly they lose their item.
With U-turn I can switch out to make use of my ability regenerator while getting some good damage as well.
High jump kick is a risky move but it has saved my team quite a few times although it screwed my team a few times as well. The damage is just unbelievable awesome.
I let my Mienshao hold focus sash because in case my opponent outspeed me, I can still knock off my opponent and switch out later on.
Talonflame @ Life Orb
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
- Roost
Killer / Priority moves / Revenge killer
With gale wings brave bird will have priority hence I don't have to invest much speed into my Talonflame. Brave bird is a very painful move when used with life orb as the damage can easily one shot some pokemon.
Flare blitz to fight against typings that are weak against fire similar to brave bird although it doesn't have priority but it is very lethal.
Swords dance to predict opponent switches and make Talonflame into something scarier than a monster.
Having roost can be useful also as it helps me to regen health and letting me to hang on longer on the battlefield.
As Talonflame can't really take much hits hence going all in with lifeorb is what I think is best.
Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball
- Giga Drain
Physical tank / Set-up Hazards
Ferrothorn with rocky helmet and iron barbs are definetly very annoying when it face against a physical attacker as it deals twice the amount of damage to the opponent.
Invtesting max Health and max Defense in EVs is also essential in sustaining myself against physical attackers.
Since it has 0 IVs in speed with relaxed nature makes it one of the slowest pokemon hence giving gyro ball a great boost in damage.
Having stealth rocks can really be troublesome for the opponent to make switches and sending out flying types.
Leech seed is a bit risky with the accuracy but it can be useful as it drains health from the opponent and I can switch Ferrothorn out to other pokemon to regen some health back.
Giga drain is to fight against those who are just too tanky to fight against in terms of defense but not special defense. Getting some health back is always good.
Mandibuzz (F) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Foul Play
- Whirlwind
- Defog
- Roost
Physical Tank/ Whirlwind / Defog
Mandibuzz another very bulky pokemon in terms of Health and Defense. With Overcoat instead of other abilities because I can switch in to sleep powder or sandstorm or hail. Since I won't take any damage.
Having Foul Play is a great move because Mandibuzz isn't that awesome in terms of attacking but it can make use of the opponent's strong attack investment in calculation for the damage dealt.
One of the reasons why I chose Mandibuzz was because it can use whirlwind causing opponents who have been boosting themselves to waste those turns and take damage from the entry hazards laid.
Defog is not the best way to clear hazards but it is still applicable.
Having a move to heal is always great that's why I chose roost, since mandibuzz is tanky and has lots of health 50% of it back can save lives.
Sitrus berry to help me to stay longer on the battlefield.
Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Air Slash
- Thunder Wave
- Roost
- Heal Bell
Dragon slayer / Special Defense tank / Parahax / Status Healer
Togekiss can be very useful as it has Serence Grace to increase Air Slash's flinch rate to 60% each hit although it might miss sometimes but with Thunder Wave, it can also be very annoying and turn back the tide.
With Fairy Typing Dragon types won't dare to face off with Togekiss.
Having Roost can let Togekiss to stay on longer as it is bulky and has tons of health invested.
Heal Bell heal back any status effects afflicted on my team.
Leftovers to help me to heal when making use of the Parahax.
