Monotype Physically Defensive Deoxys-D [QC: 3/3] [GP: 1/1]

:bw/Deoxys-Defense: :Heavy-Duty Boots: / :Leftovers:
[OVERVIEW]
Physically defensive Deoxys-D has competition from teammates like Slowbro, as it offers Regenerator and Scald; however, Deoxys-D has a more utility-condensed moveset notably consisting of Teleport and Spikes and takes on foes like the Ogerpon formes. Using this forme also restricts usage of Deoxys-S, a desirable wallbreaker and revenge killer that has access to the same utility moves, albeit it's more frail.

[SET]
Deoxys-Defense @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Leftovers
Name: Physically Defensive
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Night Shade / Knock Off
- Teleport / Taunt
- Recover
- Spikes / Thunder Wave

[SET COMMENTS]
Deoxys-D boasts impeccable defensive stats and a wide range of utility moves, benefiting Psychic as a bulky pivot and entry hazard setter. Night Shade prevents Deoxys-D from being too passive and deals decent chunks of damage over time. Alternatively, Knock Off may be used to accentuate Spikes usage by removing Heavy-Duty Boots from Toxapex, Gouging Fire, and Sableye, forcing progress and easing the jobs of wallbreaker teammates. Teleport allows for slow and safe pivoting for offensive teammates such as Iron Boulder, Indeedee-M, and Latios, while Taunt prevents opposing defensive Pokemon like Archaludon and Mandibuzz from setting up Stealth Rock and using Toxic, respectively. Spikes wears down threatening foes such as Flutter Mane, Greninja, and Ogerpon-H, building up passive damage alongside Night Shade. Thunder Wave may also be used to paralyze quicker targets such as Ogerpon formes with Horn Leech, which can negate Night Shade damage, Roaring Moon, and Greninja. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Deoxys-D to repeatedly use Teleport and get swapped in without having to worry about hazards; however, Leftovers may be used to better sponge attacks due to passive recovery.

Hoopa-U is greatly appreciated by Deoxys-D, as it threatens Ghost-type Pokemon like Gholdengo, Sinistcha, and Pecharunt. In exchange, Hoopa-U values getting brought in by Teleport and Spikes wearing down switch-ins such as Ting-Lu and Archaludon. Galarian Slowking forms a defensive core with Deoxys-D, taking on special attackers like Latios, Iron Moth, and Primarina, while Deoxys-D walls Iron Treads, Swampert, and Iron Boulder. They also both form a pivot core due to Galarian Slowking's access to Chilly Reception, preserving a lot of momentum for the rest of the team. Hatterene aids in preventing the setting of entry hazards via Magic Bounce while combating Dark-types such as Hydreigon, Darkrai, and Roaring Moon. Iron Boulder pressures offensive threats like Volcarona, Weavile, and Tornadus-T, valuing Spikes and Teleport support in return. Latios appreciates Deoxys-D setting up Spikes and providing slow pivoting with Teleport while Latios pressures Dragon teams, notably removing Hydreigon. Choice Scarf Indeedee-M picks off wallbreakers such as Swords Dance Urshifu-R and Sneasler while also providing a Ghost-type immunity and Healing Wish support should Deoxys-D get low on health or inflicted by a status.

2/2, I would add Latios since you mention it as a teleport target but thats it.
The only other thing is relation to the lack of an overview as this wouldn't work with the current overview with have for Deo-D (stall breaker) so ask Neko probably.

[OVERVIEW]
Physically defensive Deoxys-D condenses lots of utility into one moveset, notably providing Spikes, as well as can fit on most Psychic team compositions, (more of, your direct comparison is Slowbro and Slowbro has regenerator and has scald [which is broken]. However its not weak to Ogerpon and has Teleport tho) however, Slowking-G offers a Teleport substitute in Chilly Reception, Hoopa-U commonly uses Knock Off, and prevents the use of Doexys-S, a desirable wallbreaker, revenge killer, and has access to the same utility moves albeit being more frail.

Deoxys-D boasts impeccable defensive stats and a wide range of utility moves, benefiting Psychic as a bulky pivot and hazard setter. Night Shade allows Deoxys-D to easily deal chunks of damage to frail offensive threats like Meowscarada, Iron Valiant, and Barraskewda (kinda honestly unideal targets since if they cant break you there's just no point in staying in. Perhaps you can say it stops setup with taunt/just prevents it from being too passiv). Alternatively, Knock Off may be used to accentuate Spikes usage by removing Heavy-Duty Boots from Toxapex, Gouging Fire, and Sableye, forcing progress and easing the jobs of wallbreaker teammates. Teleport allows for slow and safe pivoting for offensive teammates such as Iron Boulder, Indeedee, and Latios while Taunt prevents opposing defensive Pokemon like Archaludon and Mandibuzz from setting up Stealth Rock and using Toxic, respectively. Spikes wears down threatening foes such as Flutter Mane, Greninja, and Ogerpon-H, building up passive damage alongside Night Shade. A Relaxed nature and 0 Speed IVs are preferred for a slow Teleport, allowing opponents with Galarian Slowking or opposing Deoxys-D to bring in their teammates first. (I apologize for the confusion but you need to not be too slow, this ends up with you ironically be unable to taunt faster mandibuzz, Archa, or at least reduce Azumarill's HP before it yeets you!!) Heavy-Duty Boots allow Deoxys-D to repeatedly use Teleport and get swapped in without having to worry about entry hazards, however, Leftovers may be used to better sponge attacks due to passive recovery.

Hoopa-U is a great teammate as it threatens Ghost-type Pokemon like Gholdengo, Sinistcha, and Pecharunt. In exchange, Hoopa-U appreciates getting brought in by Teleport and Spikes wearing down switch-ins such as Ting-Lu and Archaludon. Galarian Slowking forms a defensive core with Deoxys-D, taking on special attackers like Latios, Iron Moth, and Primarina while Deoxys-D walls Iron Treads, Swampert, and hazard lead Garchomp (yes you wall but like whats the point, they just set 3 spiks on you :-:). They also both form a pivot core due Galarian Slowking's access to Chilly Reception, preserving a lot of momentum for the rest of the team. Hatterene aids in preventing the setting of entry hazards via Magic Bounce while combating Dark-types such as Hydreigon, Darkrai, and Roaring Moon. Iron Boulder pressures offensive threats like Volcarona, Weavile, and Tornadus-T, valuing Spikes and Teleport support in return (can even mention SD). Choice Scarf Indeedee provides a Ghost-type immunity and pressures Ground, Fire, and Electric teams with Expanding Force under Psychic Terrain, removing especially threatening wallbreakers such as Landorus (likely scarfed), Ceruledge, and Thundurus-T (uncommon mons? Maybe bonking Urshifu-R and H.Wish are worth saying). Jirachi offers Stealth Rock and U-turn, forming a hazard stack and pivoting core with Deoxys-D, as well as spreads paralysis via Body Slam or Thunder Wave hindering many of the aforementioned offensive foes and making them susceptible to Night Shade and entry hazards wear. (Jirachi is the least used steel-psy rn and its best set is probably scarf. Would mention Metagross instead [blame flutter mane])Latios appreciates Deoxys-D setting up Spikes and providing slow pivoting with Teleport while Latios pressures Dragon teams, notably removing Hydreigon.(move latios up, maybe after Iron Boulder)

Thunder Wave may be used over Teleport and Taunt to setup wallbreakers late-game by paralyzing faster targets, however, the latter options are typically more useful and as mentioned earlier, Jirachi already commonly uses Thunder Wave. (move a part of this in tha set comments since I suggested the slash to prevent Horn Leech Ogerpons/stinky strong attackers from just hitting you anyway) Rocky Helmet allows for passive chip damage alongside Spikes, punishing multi-hit like Surging Strikes and pivot moves from Urshifu-R, Cinderace, and Landorus-T, respectively.
