ORAS OU Pidgeot Offense

To be honest, this just started out as a fun OU team to mess around with, but as of late it's been getting me a pretty high win streak. I've been using this team for about a week now and it's gone through a few subtle changes here and there, but now I think it's a good enough point to post it and see what people think.

Diggersby (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fire Punch
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Quick Attack

This is the all around offensive threat against slower tanks. Though the leftovers over life orb does reduce it's power somewhat, I like it due to the fact that after you set up the swords dance, you can possibly regain enough hp after a kill to survive a priority move right after. Fire Punch stops Ferro and Scizor from easily swapping in, Swords Dance is your set up move, Earthquake is powerful STAB, and Quick Attack lets it pick off threats at lower or mid ranged health after an SD.

Tyranitar (F) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Ice Punch

This thing is an absolute beast on the specially defensive side. Being able to easily take special hits and retaliate with a powerful 252 ev'd Adamant hit can be a really put dents in your opponents team. Though I will admit some wish support for Tyranitar on this team would go a long way, if you can play it and send it in at the right times, it can last almost the entire battle.

Pidgeot-Mega (M) @ Pidgeotite
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave
- Roost
- U-turn

Nothing too special here. Timid Nature so you outspeed most pokemon in the tier and pick them off from lower to mid health. Pidgeot relies on it's team members to lower the health pool of it's treats so that it can come in during the late game to clean up. This set is pretty standard, other than having U-turn over the sometimes preferred Work Up. I decided I wanted U-turn over it to form a Volt-Turn core with Rotom, and since I didn't want to rely on Pidgeot to take a hit while setting up for a sweep.

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Defog
- Spikes
- Toxic

Though it may seem odd not to include Roost on Skarmory, I actually didn't find too much trouble without it. Skarmory's goal on this team is to set up hazards to allow for Pidgeot, Diggersby or Scolipede to sweep in the mid to late game. Defog is just there if hazards stack too much against me, and toxic can punish pokemon that try to set up on it like DD Dragonite (a common example for some reason).

Scolipede (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 96 Def / 160 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Megahorn
- Earthquake
- Protect
- Poison Jab

People usually like to run Scolipede with the intent to Baton Pass it's speed to another pokemon, but I found that to be a bit of a waste of the pokemon. Because of people usually expecting it's usual sets, Scolipede can pick off Heatran's that expect a free switch in with Earthquake. Megahorn and Poison Jab provide powerful STAB options that can deal significant damage, and protect is there to allow it to avoid Fake-Out from pokemon like mega Lopunny and gain enough speed to outspeed and land a Megahorn to either pick it off or possibly put it into range of Quick Attack from Diggersby.

Rotom-Wash @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest

Rotom is really just here to round everything out. It completes a Volt-Turn core with Mega Pidgeot, burns physical attackers or hit's hard with Hydro Pump. I decided Modest was a fine option on this because I can usually survive 2 physical hits after a burn anyways and Tyranitar is always a switch in against special attackers if Rotom can't handle them. Rest is also there too take it our of the 3 Hit KO range against certain pokemon, or keep it healthy to pressure something later on with burns.

This the the first team I'm posting here, but I hope it work well for anyone who decides to try it out. Feedback on how to possibly improve the team would also be apreciated!
