ORAS OU Pinsir-Mega RMT

This is a team I stole from a Youtuber named Flashfire (check him out he makes amazing teams,) which has worked better for me then any other team ever (which isn't saying much because my peak is like 1200 lol, I suck). I wanted to see if I could get it to work even better so here goes.

pinsir-mega.gif

Teeth (Pinsir) @ Pinsirite
Ability: Hyper Cutter
Shiny: Yes
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Frustration
- Quick Attack
- Swords Dance
Pinsir is the Pokemon that he wanted to build around because he is an excellent sweeper (seriously, how is this thing BL?) You Mega and setup a Swords Dance or two (I only ever have to use one,) and go for the sweep from there (Frustration on everything that can be outsped and Quick Attack otherwise, Close Combat when the typing calls for it). Close Combat is for the coverage, Frustration over Return for Ditto, Quick attack for DATPRIORITY, and SD to setup obviously. This thing gets Aerialate when it goes Mega which makes its normal attacks Flying and have 1.3x power, along with the STAB which makes this deadly. The EV spread is just basic to hit hard af and outspeed everything possible.

serperior.gif

I'mASnaaaake (Serperior) @ Wise Glasses
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Leaf Storm
- Giga Drain
- Dragon Pulse
This is the only real Serperior set that I'm aware of and it works amazingly. It recently hit OU (been using it long before though). This is here for coverage and because I can sweep with this 3 times out of 5. Contrary is to raise its SP Atk with Leaf Storm (the 120 power doesn't hurt either). Giga Drain is here for recovery from any damage taken, Dragon Pulse is for coverage (Serperior has a pretty sub-par movepool,) and HP Fire is to deal with Grass and Ice types. I was previously using Shell Bell but I heard its complete garbage so I switched to Life Orb and now to Wise Glasses for no recoil. EV spread is just basic sweeper to hit with max power and outspeed everything.

excadrill.gif

Dwayne (Excadrill) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance
Excadrill is great for dealing out high damage and sometimes even sweeping. I'm running Sand Rush because it's really good when the sand is up for dealing damage while outspeeding literally EVERYTHING. Swords Dance is something I like to use to get my attack high because Excadrill already has some monster attack. Earthquake is STAB and amazing damage, Rock Slide is coverage, and Iron Head is powerful STAB. Life Orb is for some extra damage and I'm running Adamant over Jolly because with Sand Rush you don't need the extra speed anyways so some extra damage will really help.

tyranitar.gif

Bruce (Tyranitar) @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 244 Def / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
Obviously with Sand Rush Exca, I need something to set sand up and what better way to do it than Sand Stream Tyranitar. This is usually my lead because it allows me to set rocks and sand in one go. It's holding Smooth Rock so that the sand lasts longer and gives Excadrill more time to sweep. Earthquake is good coverage/power, Crunch is good STAB, and Stone Edge is STAB that helps deal with stuff like Talonflame and Charizard. Running max HP and near max Defense for the bulk, and the speed is to creep other uninvested Tyranitars.

raikou.gif

Cow (Raikou) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 16 HP / 252 SpA / 240 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Shadow Ball
Raikou is here for coverage and because I love using him. Assault Vest Raikou is because I've used it in the past and it works extremely well, and because I hate choice items. Volt Switch is for switch initiative and STAB, Thunderbolt is more STAB, HP Ice is for coverage and because it's fairly common on Raikou, and Shadow Ball > Extrasensory because coverage and it's signature move for Raikou. The EV's are to hit extremely hard and to lets me outspeed most things, while adding a bit of bulk with the HP.

latias.gif

Latina (Latias) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Healing Wish
Last but not least we have Latias. The main purpose of this is to get rid of hazards and because I like Latias in general. Chose Latias over Latios for the extra bulk. Draco Meteor is to hit stuff extremely hard and STAB, Psyshock is more STAB and coverage (not sure if I should use this over Psychic,) Defog is one of the reasons I'm using this, and Healing Wish is to heal up my sweeper if I screw up. EV's are to hit hard and fast (which is a bit of a trend with this team tbh).

Thanks you for reading if you're still with me. I'll leave an importable below so please try out this team and help me improve it.

Hey man cool team! I think I have some suggestions that can improve it! First, I would go back to life orb on serperior. Serp plays a key role in your team of breaking apart skarmory or other fat steel types that may wall pinsir so the extra power will help achieve that much easier. I would not worry too much about the recoil since you have giga drain to recover that off of weakened targets. You also mentioned something about that serp set being the only one you know so here's some metagame knowledge :D The hp is obviously either ground or fire depending on the team and the fourth slot is one of giga drain for general recovery and provides some longevity, taunt to break stall, glare to lure in and paralyze common serp switch ins(Malt talon torn-t), or substitute to avoid status and trouble offense a bit more. That being said giga drain is probably the best option for your serp since you kinda want it around as long as possible and the only other option i can really see is glare but you have answers for all of those targets.

This is a pretty solid team the only other thing I would change is to change the latias set to 72hp/184spatk/252spd+ just for the extra bulk. Other than that this team is pretty solid hope I helped!

Edit: 100th post :]

Nice team! I agree with what Mur said to run Life Orb on Serperior, as well as his suggested Latias spread. I'm gonna focus on some threats and possible changes to help with them. As of right now half of your team is weak to Ice, and Weavile can potentially sweep your team with Icicle Crash, Knock Off and Low Kick. Bisharp can also be a threat with Sucker Punch and Iron Head (hits T-tar). Mega Altaria looks to be a threat as Excadrill and Pinsir are the only reliable ones to kill it. Lando-T can also do some major damage to your team with U-turn, Stone Edge and Earthquake, and it'll be hard to KO since its usually scarfed.

serperior.png
One way to deal with fast threats such as Weavile, is to run Glare > Giga Drain. You'll be able to paralyze opponents on the switch, and it'll be easier to deal kill them with your teammates. Glare can really help with Mega Altaria, as Serperior can't touch it, and instead of letting the opponent get a free dragon dance, you'll be able to paralyze them and send out Pinsir or Excadrill to KO them. You'll also be able to slow down Scarfed threats like Lando-T, and be able to KO them with less difficulty. The downside to this is that you won't have a recovery move and Serperior can get worn down by hazards and LO damage.

excadrill.png
Since you're running Swords Dance, one change you could make (not completely necessary, but its not a bad idea) is to run Air Balloon > Life Orb. Air Balloon will allow you to use Swords Dance on an opposing Lando-T and safely KO Mega Altaria lacking Fire Blast. The downside is that you'll do less damage, but setting up a Swords Dance will be much easier with the Air Balloon.

tyranitar.png
Since you have a ton of bulk, and U-turn can be a menace to your team, I suggest running Pursuit > Crunch. Pursuit can be used to do major damage to Talonflame (they're gonna switch out for sure) and U-turn users like Lando-T. You'll also be able to trap Latios and Latias, and getting rid of them means your opponent won't be able to get rid of your stealth rocks. The only downside is being unable to use a strong dark stab on opponents that won't switch out, which doesn't sound too likely unless they can KO you.

raikou.png
This one is more of a personal preference, so Extrasensory > Shadow Ball so you have another option to hit Mega Venusaur (the most annoying poke to KO for me), and Mega Lopunny. The downside to this is being unable to do major damage to Latios, Latias and other psychic types.

If you are looking to add new members, then I suggest Keldeo or Azumarill as they can both defeat Weavile, Keldeo beats Bisharp, and Azumarill can defeat Mega Altaria. Unfortunately I'm not too sure who to replace, so I'll let that be up to you. Hope I helped ^_^
