[SET COMMENTS]
With a Choice Scarf equipped, Pinsir can become a workable revenge killer and cleaner who can use a late game KO to power up with its useful ability Moxie, and clean through what is left of a weakened team. Pinsir is sadly forced to rely on X-Scissor as its STAB attacking option of choice, which lacks immediate power but can still effectively clean up a properly chipped team. Close Combat is a powerful option for forcing damage onto switchins such as Stunfisk-G or Silvally-Steel. Knock-Off helps cripple teams and make headway against ghosts that resist Pinsir's main STAB and are immune to Close Combat like Froslass, Golurk and Rotom. The final slot should be filled with Earthquake to assist with poisons such as Qwilfish, Toxicroak and Garbodor, but Stone Edge could be used to give Pinsir an option for flying-type or levitating foes like Rotom-S or Weezing. A Jolly nature with max speed investment allows a tie with other popular 85 base speed choice scarf users like Toxicroak and Sawk, while maximized attack investment helps Pinsir get the most out of Moxie more effectively allowing a chance to sweep.

Pinsir should be leveraged against slower or resisted weakened foes that the opponent will either need to sacrifice or switch out such as Eldegoss, Malamar, Thwackey, Lurantis and Abomasnow; This will give Pinsir an opportunity to either force damage onto a predicted switch in, or secure a KO in order to gain a boost from Moxie. Despite passable physical bulk, Pinsir is relatively frail and needs support to fall back on until the opposing team is properly worn down. Bulky partners like Wishiwashi and Lanturn can help sponge damage from threats like Silvally-Fire or Rapidash, while Ghost teammates with a pivoting option such as Decidueye, Rotom or Silvally-Ghost can lure in opposing Dark types and pivot Pinsir in to threaten with X-Scissor. Pinsir appreciates foes being damaged in advance and teammates like Qwilfish and Garbodor can provide spikes support to allow Pinsir the best chance at cleaning up a weakened team.
