Meowscarada @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Dark / Fire / Grass
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Flower Trick
- Triple Axel
- U-turn / Low Kick

Meowscarada is one of the tier's premier offensive pivots thanks to its stupendous base 123 Speed, a critical benchmark that lets it outspeed scary threats like Cinderace, Iron Valiant, Roaring Moon, and Serperior. Knock Off scares some of the tier's key dangers like Deoxys-Speed, Dragapult, and Gholdengo while simultaneously threatening to cripple other switch-ins like Archaludon, Hatterene, and Volcarona by removing their item. Flower Trick cuts through bulky threats such as Dondozo, Great Tusk, and Primarina while Triple Axel gives Meowscarada a crucial Ice-type STAB move that allows it to nail common Pokemon such as Clodsire, Gliscor, Raging Bolt, and Roaring Moon. U-turn could be used in the last slot for keeping momentum while chipping switch-ins such as Kingambit and Hatterene. Alternatively, Meowscarada can run Low Kick to smack some of the tier's most threatening staples such as Archaludon, Kingambit, and Kyurem. Heavy-Duty Boots is practically a requirement on this set, as Meowscarada will frequently be switching in and out of combat and is otherwise quite weak to hazards. Tera Grass and Dark enhance Flower Trick and Knock Off while Tera Fire grants Meowscarada some crucial resistances to Fairy, Ice, and Steel-type attacks such as those from Enamorus, Gouging Fire, and Gholdengo, respectively. Tera Electric is an additional option that allows Meowscarada to feast on Zapdos more effectively thanks to a newly gained Static immunity.

Meowscarada fits best on balance teams that need a way to force hazard chip along with Knock Off spam to whittle down or outright threaten Pokemon that otherwise don't mind Knock Off such as Gliscor. Meowscarada's frailty courtesy of its 76/70/70 bulk is sometimes hard to work around and limits its switch in opportunities, especially with common weaknesses courtesy of its exploitable defensive typing and a nasty 4x weakness to U-turn. Furthermore, Meowscarada, while being quite fast, is still outsped by monsters such as Darkrai, Dragapult, Weavile, and Zamazenta, the latter of which happens to be one of Meowscarada's best checks. Weavile's offensive tenacity combined with deadly Speed makes it a potent threat, which is why Rocky Helmet Skarmory is one of Meowscarada's best partner options on balance teams, as it punishes Triple Axel spam and shrugs off Weavile's hits comparatively easily. Meowscarada's role as an offensive pivot helps chip away at opposing cores while also bringing some of their key defensive threats into OHKO range for some frail teammates like Darkrai, Iron Boulder, and Gholdengo. Dragapult is another great partner for Meowscarada; it can blank Fighting-type attacks and follow up with a fast Will-O-Wisp to neuter Zamazenta as well. Meowscarada's defensive woes can be covered by bulky teammates that don't mind taking coverage moves from faster threats. On the physical side, Gouging Fire and Great Tusk are both excellent partners whose typings complement Meowscarada's. Gouging Fire acts as a great Will-O-Wisp absorber, while Great Tusk's role as a physically bulky offensive spinner with synergistic typing opens up multiple opportunities to clear hazards. On the special side, Clodsire and Galarian Slowking are both impressive partners thanks to their longevity and fantastic defensive profiles, with the former being able to blank setup sweepers like Darkrai and the latter being able to continue Meowscarada's momentum chain by using a slow Chilly Reception to take a hit or scout a switch, allowing Meowscarada to come in safely. Additionally, Galarian Slowking also threatens Pokemon that would commonly switch into Meowscarada like Iron Defense Zamazenta with Future Sight.

Meowscarada occupies a critical role in OU as the tier's premier offensive pivot thanks to its stupendous base 123 speed; this speed tier with Jolly 252 brings Meowscarada up to 379 speed, you don’t have to mention specific speed tiers on 252 4 252 mons like this, just naming the stuff it outspeeds should be good a critical benchmark outspeeding scary threats like Cinderace, Iron Valiant, Roaring Moon, and Serperior Meowscarada also packs a solid base 110 attack further boosted by its ability Protean, giving all of its coverage moves a welcome STAB bonus by matching Meowscarada's typing with the move used dex data (i.e. you don’t have to explain the basic things that an ability does, probably remove this or maybe keep “giving all coverage moves a welcome stab bonus”). Knock Off scares some of the tier's key dangers like Deoxys-Speed, Dragapult, Gholdengo, and Iron Boulder, while simultaneously threatening to cripple other switch-ins by removing their item. Flower Trick cuts through defensive stalwarts such as Dondozo, Great Tusk, and Primarina while Triple Axel gives Meowscarada crucial Ice-type STAB that allows it to nail both offensive and defensive behemoths reword this to something like “nail common pokemon”, as is its just a bit clunky such as Clodsire, Gliscor, Raging Bolt, and Roaring Moon. The last slot is between U-turn for continued momentum make this its own sentence and explain how uturn can also help in terms of constant switching or Low Kick to smack some of the tier's most threatening staples such as Archaludon, Kingambit, Kyurem, and Weavile. Heavy-Duty Boots are practically a requirement on this set, as Meowscarada will frequently be switching in and out of combat and is otherwise quite hazard-prone. Tera Grass and Dark enhance both Flower Trick and Knock Off while Tera Fire allows Meowscarada some crucial resistances to Fairy, Ice, and Steel-type attacks. Tera Electric is an additional option that allows Meowscarada to take Raging Bolt's Thunderclap in a pinch while also feasting on Zapdos more effectively.

Meowscarada's role as an offensive pivot helps chip away at your don’t use “you” or anything adjacent to it in analyses for the sake of formalization opponent's team cores while also bringing some of their key defensive threats into OHKO range for some frail teammates like Cinderace, Iron Boulder, and Walking Wake. Additionally, those damage thresholds can be critical for bulkier teammates such as Archaludon, Gouging Fire, and Kyurem who need that opportunity to force out a Pokemon that could otherwise withstand a potentially lethal blow. Meowscarada's frailty courtesy of 76/70/70 bulk is sometimes hard to work around and limits its switch-in opportunities, especially with common weaknesses to Bug (4x), Fairy, Fighting, Fire, Flying, Ice, and Poison-type attacks around every corner you don’t have to list all of these, id just list the more common ones (probably fairy fighting ice bug) and then you can end it off with “and a quadrupled weakness to bug” or something among those lines. Furthermore, Meowscarada, while being quite fast, is still outsped by monsters such as Darkrai, Dragapult, Weavile, and Zamazenta, the latter of which happens to be one of Meowscarada's best checks. Meowscarada's defensive woes can be covered by bulky teammates who don't mind taking various attacks (often coverage moves from faster threats) just flows better. On the physical side, Gouging Fire and Great Tusk are both excellent partners whose typings complement Meowscarada's, while the former's power and the latter's flexibility go more in depth into these, and explain more how they can beat stuff that threatens meow allow you them to then capitalize on openings that Meowscarada has opened up. On the special side, Clodsire and Slowking-Galar are both impressive partners thanks to their longevity and fantastic defensive profiles, with the former being able to blank setup sweepers like? and the latter being able to continue Meowscarada's momentum chain.

Meowscarada's role as an offensive pivot helps chip away at the opponent's team cores while also bringing some of their key defensive threats into OHKO range for some frail teammates like Cinderace, Iron Boulder, and Walking Wake. Additionally, those damage thresholds can be critical for bulkier teammates such as Archaludon, Gouging Fire, and Kyurem who need that opportunity to force out a Pokemon that could otherwise withstand a potentially lethal blow. this is pretty weirdly worded. do you mean that meowscarada can chip targeted switchins enough to make it easier for these pokemon to be more threatening/enter the field? i’m not sure what you’re going for here Meowscarada's frailty courtesy of 76/70/70 bulk is sometimes hard to work around and limits its switch-in opportunities, especially with common weaknesses to Fairy, Fighting, Ice, and quadruple weakness to Bug. Furthermore, Meowscarada, while being quite fast, is still outsped by monsters such as Darkrai, Dragapult, Weavile, and Zamazenta, the latter of which happens to be one of Meowscarada's best checks. Meowscarada is one of the tier's premier offensive pivots thanks to its stupendous base 123 speed; a critical benchmark outspeeding scary threats like Cinderace, Iron Valiant, Roaring Moon, and Serperior. Meowscarada also packs a solid base 110 attack further boosted by its ability Protean, giving all of its coverage moves a welcome STAB bonus. Knock Off scares some of the tier's key dangers like Deoxys-Speed, Dragapult, Gholdengo, and Iron Boulder, while simultaneously threatening to cripple other switch-ins like Archaludon, Clefable, (this isn't bad to note, but Clefable does typically act as a backup Knock absorber because of Magic Guard - I wouldn't say that it's as neutered by Knock Off as either of the other listed examples) and Volcarona by removing their item. Flower Trick cuts through defensive stalwarts such as Dondozo, Great Tusk, and Primarina (Not sure if Primarina is a defensive stalwart, and Axel hits harder into Tusk although I don't mind it as a key target that Flower Trick hits) while Triple Axel gives Meowscarada crucial Ice-type STAB that allows it to nail common Pokemon such as Clodsire, Gliscor, Raging Bolt, and Roaring Moon. U-turn could be used in the last slot for continued momentum, allowing Meowscarada to weave in and out of combat while chunking switch-ins such as Kingambit and Hatterene. (Hatterene doesn't really comfortably switch into Meow as Axel does almost half and Kingambit is kinda a panic switch-in since they don't typically want to come in early and take damage unless absolutely necessary) Alternatively, Meowscarada can run Low Kick to smack some of the tier's most threatening staples such as Archaludon, Kingambit, Kyurem, and Weavile. (Weavile outspeeds and OHKOs you, while U-turn would also OHKO them on the switch so it is unlikely to come in hard on Meow unless predicting Knock Off) Heavy-Duty Boots are practically a requirement on this set, as Meowscarada will frequently be switching in and out of combat and is otherwise quite hazard-prone. Tera Grass and Dark enhance both Flower Trick and Knock Off while Tera Fire allows Meowscarada some crucial resistances to Fairy, Ice, and Steel-type attacks. (Up to you if you want to elaborate here, but from who?) Tera Electric is an additional option that allows Meowscarada to take Raging Bolt's Thunderclap in a pinch (I don't hate this entirely but this is very niche as you already resist Thunderclap, so it's a really rare case which is only applicable if you've already Protean'd into a move and they're already chipped down to ~60% - after Tera Electric, Triple Axel doesn't even come close to killing Raging Bolt due to losing Protean) while also feasting on Zapdos more effectively thanks to a newly gained Static immunity.

(One key thing I'd like to see included near the start of the second paragraph is that Meowscarada best fits on balance and can act as a way of spreading Knock Offs and racking up hazard chip that isn't easily blocked by the common Knock absorber Gliscor - This along with some common partners / hazard setters for balance should probably be talked about here. Most of the 2nd paragraph focuses on bulky offense partners to Boots Meow and it does function okay on those styles of teams although they also opt to run choiced Meow pretty often, balance is just much more important to talk about here as Meow's most common playstyle.)

Meowscarada's role as an offensive pivot helps chip away at the opponent's team cores while also bringing some of their key defensive threats into OHKO range for some frail teammates like Cinderace, Iron Boulder, and Walking Wake. (Iron Boulder and boots Meow is a pretty fringe synergy but I don't hate it since you at least help by weakening Skarmory, though if it's included it should probably be later in the paragraph. Does Cinderace actually pair well with Meow as a second fast momentum pivot for a team, particularly when they don't have the same checks outside of maybe Toxapex? Ace's hazard control is usually unnecessary on hazard stack teams that appreciate Meow's ability to Knock Off defensive mons' boots. Walking Wake also typically operates on sun where boots Meow doesn't fit at all, so I wouldn't say Meow is putting things in range of it especially with their lack of shared checks outside of again Toxapex) Additionally, those damage thresholds can be critical for bulkier teammates such as Archaludon, Gouging Fire, and Kyurem (These are better partners and I like Kyurem, while Gouging Fire bulky offense could potentially run a boots Meow although I don't know if it's a strong enough pairing to list here. I would note that Meow primarily weakens physical walls like Skarmory that don't check Kyurem in the first place, so Meow is never really putting things in range for it, while it doesn't actually chip Gouging's answers too well outside of Pex / maybe Skarm if they tera it to check the Gouging - a key point here is that they don't really share defensive checks. Also, offensive Archaludon sets usually find a home on Rain and Grassy Terrain offense, both of which are playstyles that Meow does not fit on, along with being checked by special walls and strong attackers - I don't think this is a strong synergy to note) who sometimes need their opponents chipped to break through common defensive cores. Meowscarada's frailty courtesy of 76/70/70 bulk is sometimes hard to work around and limits its switch-in opportunities, especially with common weaknesses to Fairy, Fighting, Ice, and quadruple weakness to Bug. Furthermore, Meowscarada, while being quite fast, is still outsped by monsters such as Darkrai, Dragapult, Weavile, and Zamazenta, the latter of which happens to be one of Meowscarada's best checks. (Just a quick note - nothing listed from here on beats Weavile, which is what Skarmory usually aims to do on balance. This could be a pretty easy inclusion if you talk about Meow's role and teammates on balance earlier) Dragapult is incidentally another great partner for Meowscarada it can blank Fighting-type attacks and follow up with a fast Will-O-Wisp to neuter Zamazenta as well. Meowscarada's defensive woes can be covered by bulky teammates who don't mind taking coverage moves from faster threats. On the physical side, Gouging Fire and Great Tusk are both excellent partners whose typings complement Meowscarada's; the former's powerful STAB Fire and Dragon-type attacks blitz through dangerous foes like Archaludon (Archaludon is neutral to both Fire and Dragon and easily beats Gouging 1v1 so this isn't worth listing) or Raging Bolt (Gouging doesn't switch in on Bolt and can't OHKO it with anything short of 5 hit Scale Shot / Outrage while it gets OHKOd in return by Dpulse / Draco - I don't know if it's worth this much emphasis as a partner) and the latter's flexibility allows it to capitalize on openings that Meowscarada has enabled by punching through deadly foes like Heatran and Kingambit. (Offensive Great Tusk beats both of these mons and doesn't need them weakened unless you're talking about Meow breaking Heatran's Balloon as it comes in - do you mean to say that Great Tusk handles them for Meow? If so, Tusk cannot switch in safely on Heatran although it does beat both, so maybe would be better rephrased to mention how Meow can pivot out on these mons switching in to bring in Great Tusk and force them out, though even then Low Kick Meow beats both. Great Tusk is still a good general partner though particularly for non-Low Kick.) On the special side, Clodsire and Slowking-Galar Galarian Slowking (small change just for naming convention) are both impressive partners thanks to their longevity and fantastic defensive profiles, with the former being able to blank setup sweepers like Nasty Plot (Prob doesn't need inclusion, it's in Darkrai's dex entry) Darkrai with Unaware and the latter being able to continue Meowscarada's momentum chain (What does this mean to a player with less knowledge of this terminology? Could mention how you can bring Meow in safely with Chilly Reception) while also threatening Pokemon like Iron Defense Zamazenta with STAB Future Sight. (This is solid, but you could also maybe mention how Future Sight + an attack from Meow after a pivot with Chilly Reception is tough to switch into. Up to you though, I also like it as-is so this is just a suggestion)

Let me know when this is implemented!

Thank you for the corrections! Sorry it took me so long to respond to this, life has been chaotic these last few days. I think I got everything, there were a few corrections I was a tad unsure of so I did the best I could, let me know if I missed anything!

Thank you, seems well implemented and I like the changes you've made - no worries at all on any delay, life comes first!

Meowscarada @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Dark / Fire / Grass
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Flower Trick
- Triple Axel
- U-turn / Low Kick

Meowscarada is one of the tier's premier offensive pivots thanks to its stupendous base 123 speed; a critical benchmark outspeeding scary threats like Cinderace, Iron Valiant, Roaring Moon, and Serperior. (missing full stop) Meowscarada also packs a solid base 110 attack further boosted by its ability Protean, with Protean (Protean doesn't boost its attack, it doesn't change how strong Knock / Flower Trick are - you could rephrase it to this) giving all of its coverage moves a welcome STAB bonus. Knock Off scares some of the tier's key dangers like Deoxys-Speed, Dragapult, Gholdengo, and Iron Boulder, (Boulder runs Booster Energy and takes less from Knock Off, there aren't many scenarios where Meow is going to Knock it off - same with Deo-S and Dragapult as they outspeed you though Pult is prob fine since they can be choice locked) while simultaneously threatening to cripple other switch-ins like Archaludon, Skarmory, and Volcarona by removing their item. (Skarm does switch in, but again it doesn't really mind being Knocked as much as to say this) Flower Trick cuts through bulky threats such as Dondozo, Great Tusk, and Primarina while Triple Axel gives Meowscarada crucial Ice-type STAB that allows it to nail common Pokemon such as Clodsire, Gliscor, Raging Bolt, and Roaring Moon. U-turn could be used in the last slot for continued momentum, allowing Meowscarada to weave in and out of combat while chunking panic chipping (could just change this for clarity) switch-ins such as Kingambit and Hatterene. Alternatively, Meowscarada can run Low Kick to smack some of the tier's most threatening staples such as Archaludon, Kingambit, and Kyurem. Heavy-Duty Boots are practically a requirement on this set, as Meowscarada will frequently be switching in and out of combat and is otherwise quite hazard-prone. Tera Grass and Dark enhance both Flower Trick and Knock Off while Tera Fire allows Meowscarada some crucial resistances to Fairy, Ice, and Steel-type attacks (You list Ice / Fire / Steel attacks in the next section, you could maybe change Darkrai here for something like Enamorus as that is a revenge killer that Meow appreciates flipping the matchup on.) such as Darkrai's Life Orb Ice Beam, Gouging Fire's Flare Blitz, and Gholdengo's Make It Rain. (Maybe change this to saying these attacks are simply "from [these Pokemon]" so it's less of a list of STAB moves - you also outspeed and threaten out non-Scarf Ghold so this is of less relevance, but may be fine to include just for scarf.) Tera Electric is an additional option that allows Meowscarada to feast on Zapdos more effectively thanks to a newly gained Static immunity.

Meowscarada's role as an offensive pivot helps chip away at the opponent's team cores while also bringing some of their key defensive threats into OHKO range for some frail teammates like Darkrai, Iron Boulder, and Gholdengo. (Could move this to later in the paragraph if you include it, as these are not balance Pokemon aside from Gholdengo so this isn't what makes it a good fit on balance. Also Darkrai and Gholdengo doesn't share that many checks with Meow as they're special attackers while common Dark-types that check both by typing don't really switch into Meow, Darkrai is not a super common pairing with boots Meow at least) As a result, this means Meowscarada fits best on balance teams that need a way to force hazard chip along with Knock Off spam to whittle down or outright threaten Pokemon that otherwise don't mind Knock Off such as Gliscor. Meowscarada's frailty courtesy of 76/70/70 bulk is sometimes hard to work around and limits its switch-in opportunities, especially with common weaknesses to Fairy, Fighting, Ice, and quadruple weakness to Bug. (Fine to specify it finds it hard to get entry points because of its bad defensive typing but this by itself feels like dex info a user can see from a type chart) Furthermore, Meowscarada, while being quite fast, is still outsped by monsters such as Darkrai, Dragapult, Weavile, and Zamazenta, the latter of which happens to be one of Meowscarada's best checks. Weavile's offensive tenacity combined with deadly speed makes it a potent threat, which is why Rocky Helmet Skarmory is one of Meowscarada's best partner options on balance teams as it punishes Triple Axel spam and shrugs off Weavile's hits comparatively easily. Dragapult is incidentally another great partner for Meowscarada it can blank Fighting-type attacks and follow up with a fast Will-O-Wisp to neuter Zamazenta as well. Meowscarada's defensive woes can be covered by bulky teammates who don't mind taking coverage moves from faster threats. On the physical side, Gouging Fire and Great Tusk are both excellent partners whose typings complement Meowscarada's. (How - what can they switch into and beat for Meow? You had some information listed before and I did suggest some changes but I do like having some info here in general.) On the special side, Clodsire and Galarian Slowking are both impressive partners thanks to their longevity and fantastic defensive profiles, with the former being able to blank setup sweepers like Darkrai with Unaware (this is dex info) and the latter being able to continue Meowscarada's momentum chain by using a slow Chilly Reception to take a hit or scout a switch allowing Meowscarada to come in safely. Additionally, Galarian Slowking also threatens Pokemon like Iron Defense Zamazenta with Future Sight, as Zamazenta being forced to take both a Flower Trick that ignores its defense boosts along with a super effective Future Sight is a hard potion to swallow even for more fringe EV allotment options investing more into special bulk. (I like listing how Future Sight plus Meowscarada is a hard combination to switch into, but Zama outspeeds and kills Meow before it can hit it with Flower Trick - this could just be a good general synergy to note, or you could mention more simply how Future Sight hits some common Meow switch-ins like Toxapex as well as Zamazenta)
