King UU: I'm a Philosophy & Sexuality Studies major in my (hopefully) final year(s). I've loved Pokemon since I was a kid, and always enjoyed video games related to Dragonball Z. In terms of my nerdisms, I'm a huge trekkie, a big fan of Legend of Zelda & Naruto, and will always enjoy a spirited discussion regarding mutual animes/manga. In terms of my non-nerdisms, I'm really into theatre/acting/stage performance. I'm a musician and released an EP last year, and recently just released a single.
namehtmas: What got you in to competitive Pokemon?
King UU: Oh, good ol' shoddy battle. I was bored after being done with Runescape/Habbo Hotel, and I stumbled on the proclaimed gem that is Shoddy Battle, and its been a blast ever since, though I've only really become active in the last year and a half.
namehtmas: How'd you start playing Pokemon?
King UU: I grew up in a neighbourhood where people wanted to be the very best like no one ever was. The kids in my school loved Pokemon; I was also involved in some local TCG leagues. But it was Red/Blue/Yellow that really kept my interest in the fad.
namehtmas: Who are some of your Smogon buddies?
King UU: Wow, so many names. I couldn't even begin to list all my loves in the UU room, but I do want to give particular mention to Kitten Milk and Lixx. Huge shoutout to the rest of you, my fellow mods and companions. Also, I do want to give CoolStoryBrobat a bit of a shout-out - even though I get under his skin sometimes, this guy has really helped me grow into a member of this community; I'm not kissing ass for RO this is actually genuine you stupid.
namehtmas: Favorite playstyle?
King UU: B-b-b-balance. It really is the best way to travel.
namehtmas: So what have you been doing lately?
King UU: Working on my audition for Beauty and the Beast. Writing new music for an album I'll be released in a couple years. Focusing on adding to the Underused community for the veterans and newcomers.
namehtmas: What TV shows are you watching right now?
King UU: Honestly, because they've just been TOO good this season, all I can think about is South Park.
namehtmas: Favorite drink?
King UU: Way to ask a question. I friggen love water. If we're talkin' pop, Sprite. If we're talkin' juice, Orange. If we're talkin' beer, Sleeman's Honey Brown. If we're talkin' real alcohol, Whiskey Rye Whiskey.
