Welcome, to the ASB Arena! Today is a special day, as it is Cofaiclus's first ASB match! Have a round of applause for our newcomer! In front of them, VirajVora with a Growlithe that's obviously seasoned. On the other hand, Cofaiclus brought a scary starting trio, with powerhouses Gastly and Darumaka as well as future Dragon king Tyrunt. Let's see who he'll choose to use against his opponent...

Cofaiclus chooses a mon to send out and equips it
VirajVora sends out Growlithe and orders
Cofaiclus orders

"Hmmm... So you do understand how typing works... And you do know how each item works... That's well great... But you still can't win against my Growlithe since it has been in a few battles and knows more moves because of that... Also, Growlithe was one of my opening 3 Pokemon as well... But I never trained him much and hence he never evolved... If I win, I will have a chance to evolve it finally... Hahaha..."

"Lets begin Growlithe # Exp.Share..."

"Use Close Combat - Close Combat - Close Combat..."
"If Tyrunt is ordered to use Rock Slide, use Will-O-Wisp"
"If Tyrunt is ordered to use Earthquake, use Will-O-Wisp"

"After my orders I posted a sub... So if the conditions in the sub activates, I will use the other move instead..."

"This way I force you to either accept my sub so that you get burned in order to damage me OR else you take my damage... However, these two aren't the only 2 options you have... If somehow you can find a loophole in my subs, you can use it to your own advantage... However only the sharpest or experienced players can find a loophole that easily... You aren't experienced, but are you sharp ? Let's see..."

Banking on type advantage, Cofaiclus chooses Tyrunt to face Growlithe! However, being its first battle, Tyrunt doesn't exactly looks at ease and Growlithe's aggressive pose certainly does not help matters...
But here goes Growlithe, rushing in to deliver blow after blow on poor Tyrunt! The dragon retaliates with a Dragon Claw that sends him retreating at a good distance, right before another assault!
The violent ballet repeats itself a few times, and when the round ends both Pokémon are bruised here and there. However, Growlithe's repeated use of Close Combat leaves him weakened! Will it fall prey to Tyrunt?

This round is very confusing to me as Growlithe is very keen on burning Tyrunt, who in turn is very keen on raising its offensive prowess. Not much happened, except now Tyrunt has the Speed advantage and will hit super hard due to Growlithe's Defense being lowered, even with a burn.
That is, if it manages to hit.

Viciously tricking his opponent into not using Rock Slide with a third sub despite the rules allowing up to 2 (which effectively renders that third sub null and void), VirajVora goes for the last-ditch effort using Iron Tail to lower its rocky foe's Defense, which actually works. Nonetheless, Tyrunt had already struck it with a steady Dragon Claw, chipping at its opponent. It goes for another before Growlithe gathers what little strength it still has and desperately dives forward, striking Tyrunt with all its might!
...But even that proves to be not enough as Growlithe falls down and is unable to stand back up. This match goes to Cofaiclus!
Congratulations to the new guy for winning its first match! The few rounds will certainly allow him to grasp the mechanics as well as point out his own room for improvement.

Rewards:

Cofaiclus 2CC
Tyrunt: 1 EC 3 MC 1 AC 1 KOC

VirajVora 1CC
Growlithe: 1 EC 4 MC 1 AC

Me: 6 UC

Thank you for playing!

Cofaiclus

Congratulations on winning your first match... You played well even against a experienced player... I hope to see you keep getting stronger from now...

Here are my final lessons...

Your Tyrunt defeated my Growlithe... The Pokemon who defeats another pokemon gets a KOC as reward above the normal rewards... KOC means Knock-Out Rewards... You can use KOC by transforming it into either Tyrunt's EC/AC/MC or your own CC... I hope you remember how each Counter works...

But you got the rewards... However, you haven't got them completely... First you have to go to Prize Claiming Thread, and get your reward APPROVED... Once your reward is approved, you can edit it in your profile...

Now go to Battle Tower and post any type match you want to fight (1v1, 3v3, 6v6, 10v10, Singles, Doubles, Triples, Tag, Inverse, etc.), and if someone accepts it, the battle it confirmed, and once referee takes it up, your match starts... Remember, you can only have 3 battles going at a time, not more (This 3 limit does not include Roleplay battles such as Hall or Tournament Matches or Gym matches...)

Once you are strong enough, you can try participating in Tournaments or Rails or TLR's or fight Gyms...

So that's it Cofaiclus, nice meeting you... Now go ahead and get stronger, and I hope one day I have to fight you seriously in a Tournament Battle...
