SV OU Please give me suggestions for my team

So I wanted to pair spidops with someone because of sticky webs offensive usage and I thought about gholdengo because big Gold is immune to rapid spin mortal spin and can't be defogged thanks to good as gold, so those are the two cores of the team

The Sets

Spidops (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Insomnia
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 252 Atk / 192 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sticky Web
- Memento
- Spikes
- U-turn
So i'm running spidops with max attack max speed jolly nature so I can outspeed pokemon I want to u turn with and paired with sticky web It leads me into situations where I can pivot out of a kowtow from a max speed Gambit certain mons with minimal speed invest like great tusk or do ok damage to mons like slowking for chip. Sticky web is obvious its the whole reason I built this team, spikes is just for some more hazard coverage and memento so I can cripple mons to either set up a sweeper or in the late game if this is still alive memento a for example, gambit so I can win with another mon. focus sash is to gurantee a sticky web, and spidops is slow enough where opposing rapid spinners or defoggers like corviknight get rid of my hazards.

Gholdengo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- focus blast
Gholdengo's main role here is too stop mons like great tusk and corvikinight from getting rid of the sticky web. I'm running choice specs modest max spa and speed to break special walls like leftovers max spdef rotom or 3HKO assault vest toxapex and such. Make it rain and shadow ball are its stabs, focus blast is there for coverage against dark types like roaring moon and Gambit, and trick is for any situation where I can break bulky walls like corviknight. Tera Ghost just so I can spam shadowballs for great damage.

So when building this team I wanted two big walls that can chip the opponent. My first wall is
Toxapex @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 240 HP / 252 SpA / 16 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Infestation
- Acid Spray
- Surf
- Sludge Bomb
Assault Vest Toxapex is pretty obvious. This set can defeat booster energy max speed timid iron valiant, 2HKO max hp no spdef investment Great tusk, as well as walling gholdengo with the combination of surf and infestation. I ran tera water just for a better match up against great tusks and to deal extra damage. I went with regenerator so I can still gain back hp even with no recovery item or move and modest max spa so I can deal good damage.

My physical wall is
Great Tusk @ Assault Vest
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 236 HP / 228 Atk / 8 Def / 20 SpD / 16 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Headlong Rush
- Close Combat
- Rapid Spin
Great Tusks main job is to slow down Kingambit or choice band extreme speed dragonites, or any other physical threats. the ev spread allows for great tusk to opposing max speed great tusks as well as getting a better boost with rapid spin. 20 spd allows assault vest to boost great tusks spd stat to 214 which isn't bad, and the 8 def and 236 hp allows it to be a reasonably good physical tank. the 228 attack is to do good damage with knock offs and its two stabs, along with tera fighting allows it to 2HKO physical defense rotom wash and headlong other big threats like baxcalibur tera fairy.

these next two mons are my other big threats.
Baxcalibur @ Loaded Dice
Ability: Thermal Exchange
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Glaive Rush
- Icicle Spear
- Dragon Dance
So I am running adamant loaded dice baxcalibur here. I was using roaring moon before but weirdly even with the booster plus max attack , I wasn't doing good enough damage with crunch/acrobatcis to mons like physical rotom or toxapex or corviknight. So I decided to use baxcalibur instead for more damage output along with better stab/moves. icicle spear can hit corviknight for good damage as well as 2HKO great tusks on the switch with minimal def investment and max hp. I have the tera so I can easierly defeat mons like toxapex clodsire garganacl and skeledirge. Baxcalibur is just such a great mon.

My last pokemon is
Iron Valiant @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock
- Calm MInd
- Moonblast
- Thunderbolt
Iron valiants main role is to be thrown out when my opponent either some how took away my sticky web or if my opponent still outspeeds like if they are using choice scarf max speed jolly meowscarada. Iron Valiant can be thrown in and outspeed the oppenent revenge killing it/ Moonblast is for general stab, psyshock is for mons like toxapex and iron moth who think they have a easy switch in and tera eletric thunderbolt is to better my match up against steel types like gholdengo, Kingambit, or dondozo. I tried this with iron moth as well but I like iron valiants combination of stabs more along with the fact that its faster than moth and gets calm mind.

So when looking at this team, some imediate threats to it I see is Hatterene which might 6-0 my team if gholdengo goes down, snd It gets up to many
calm minds to the point where draining kiss plus leftovers is to much. garganacl could also be pretty annoying to my team with salt cure doing good damage to everyone along with tera ghost/water allowing it to fair better in the toxapex/ great tusk match ups. Those two mons along with any annoying flying type sweepers like d dance or choice band tera normal e speed dragonite can hurt my team.

Overall I'm just asking for suggestions to make this team better. I think the idea for the team is pretty cool so I want to run it so all I'm asking for is any patches/ changes more experienced players could give me.

Hey there! Ngl you're team's a bit here there and everywhere at the moment, since you kinda got a webs balance? So I'm going to make it more of an offense.

Major changes :woop:

:Toxapex: ---> :hydreigon:,
One of the best web abusers, hydrei also is a big help versus stall, and fatter teams in general.

Hydreigon @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Substitute
- Dark Pulse
- Earth Power

:Great tusk: --> offensive eject pack

Eject pack works quite well on more offensive teams, hitting hard then swapping out. You could also use bulk up tusk, but I think this will work better.

Minor changes :wo:

:Spidops:

I'd change the EVs to be a bit more defensive, since you won't want to be swapping out spidops, his job is to set up hazards, then die, so you'll want to use memento.
I'd run either T-spikes, taunt, or circle throw over u turn.

:Iron valiant:

I'd change be to :choice specs:, since you'll already be outspeeding everything thanks to webs. You can then run either s-ball or aura sphere over calm mind.

:Gholdengo: :baxcalibur: these two are fine in my opinion, you could maybe run the balloon set or tera flying on ghold, but specs works well anyways.

I hope that these suggestions help you, keep me updated on how they work out :blobthumbsup:

With home literally around the corner, I don't want to suggest any mon changes but I am going to suggest changes to the mons you already have for team optimization (if that's okay with you).

After typing this post I have come to the conclusion that swapping AV pex with AV slowking WOULD work well with your team. See the :toxapex: section below for more details...

:spidops:
No opinion

:Gholdengo:
Get rid of focus miss and swap it for either tera blast fighting (with tera fighting) or Thunderbolt with tera flying.

The former helps with dark/ steel types while the latter helps with flying/ water and gets you off the ground. You do have some ground weaknesses on your team so this might not be a bad way to go.

:toxapex:
I am not a fan of the AV set as I think it completely underutilizes Pex. If you want to use an AV mon then try AV slowking as it's an absolute beast (and, upon second look, would actually help your team a lot while also vibing with webs so maybe try that out?). If you still want to use pex, then try a more utility-based pex to compliment webs and gear your team more towards hazard stack. I will leave two examples you can try below.

Dave (Slowking) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 196 HP / 252 SpA / 60 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Surf
- Psychic
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower

Buster (Toxapex) @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Chilling Water
- Toxic
- Baneful Bunker
- Haze/ toxic spikes

Slowking adds better coverage while this pex set helps take care of your setup sweeper issue that you've been having (it's not the best set-up sweeper answer but with a little playing around you can make it work). Or you can use toxic spikes to add more of a hazard stack element.

:great tusk:
I would make this a physical wall and call it a day so you can survive all the physical hits forever.

The Tusk (Great Tusk) @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 164 Def / 80 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Knock Off/ body press
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock

You can also throw rocks on the field to further help your hazard game. Knockoff is my preferred option but body press adds nice coverage.

:baxcalibur:
equake --> ice shard
ddance --> swords dance
tera ground --> tera ice/ flying

Let me explain

Ice shard gives you a very nice priority move if you are going to couple that with swords dance and tera ice. This combo outputs massive damage and can become a very nice late-game sweeper ESPECIALLY when you couple it with stick webs. Tera flying, on the other hand, gets rid of your weaknesses and works better overall than tera ground. So you have options (but my vote is for the former).

:iron valiant:
Good set, good mon. Maybe look into life orb since you have sticky webs, though. The damage could save you while you don't really need the speed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope this helps. But with HOME right around the corner, you may end up creating an entirely new team anyway...
(Home is going to be CHAOS)
GOOD LUCK! :mad:
thanks for the suggestions but yeah lol i've been trying some new things with my mons but your suggestions did push me to 1400 on the ladder
