Please Help Improve My Team!

To preface this is my first team. Ive been watching a ton of showdown on youtube and I finally decided I wanted to try and make my own team based off Weavile and Magnezone.

Weavile @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Spear
- Knock Off
- Aerial Ace
So I tried building my team around Weavile and Magnezone as I said. Im not sure if Id rather run triple axel over the saftey of icicle spear. Also I decided on Aerial Ace over low sweep to try and snipe buzzwole since I already have some fighting moves on my other pokemon. I decided I wanted the strength of band over swords dance as
well.
Magnezone @ Choice Specs
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Volt Switch
- Body Press
The second staple of my team and my special breaker. The reason I chose mag is to try and trap Corv,Skarm and some of the other annoying steel types that Weavile has a tough time with. I think the moveset is pretty simple but I could possibly change out body press but I think it
works on this set.
Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Heat Wave
- Hurricane
- Nasty Plot
- Knock Off
So this mon rn is the one im questioning the most on my team. Im getting smoked by ground types with my two pokemon base so I knew I wanted flying and I wanted tornadus as my backup special attacker. Im not sure I like the set im running tho. I feel like I want him to be tankier rather than dmg and im also not sure if I should try and use focus blast instead of knockoff as well.
Jellicent @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Recover
- Taunt
- Toxic
- Will-O-Wisp
I was actually really excited to play with this mon. Weavile and Mag also get smoked by Fighting so I thought this could be an interesting choice. I know its not the best water wall. I might be better off running Tapu or Tox but I really like the feeling of having the immunity to fighting and water with this
immense utility.
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Defog
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
I feel like lando just fits well on any team and I wanted him as my special defense wall as well as my defogger since im not running many boot items. I feel like this is the most simple pick and fits well on the
team.
Rillaboom @ Life Orb
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Swords Dance
- Superpower
- Knock Off
So my last mon took me awhile to figure out what I wanted but i realized I had no way of dealing with the water ground mons and this jumped out at me. I feel like ril can really support the team well and balances out as my second physical wall
breaker.

I’ll try to explain what I can.

The move sets are good and very balanced. Rillaboom is one of the best Pokémon for this team because of its Ability and access to Grassy Glide to take down water types. Rillaboom's Ability is Grassy Surge, which sets up Grassy Terrain that heals every Pokémon that’s not using levitate or is a flying type (take that corv and skarm!) by 1/16th of their HP and boosts the power of Grass-type moves.

Land is a good defense, it’s overall stats are high so it can deal damage, take it, or cycle in out to deal with any situation. As for Jelli, it probably should be switched because Land and Torn resist fighting already. All the Pokémon assist Weavile and Magnezone nicely.

That’s all, have a nice day!

Defog and sr on lando? Maybe you can take out one for knock off/toxic. Jellicent could replace one of it's status' with an attacking move. Magnezone could be a bit more trap related with rocky helmet and more bulk over speed. Tbolt and flash cannon could be swapped with iron def and magnet rise. Weavile should have triple axel/icicle crash over icicle spear for more consistency depending on how you feel about contact. For sd rillaboom I prefer drain punch as extra recovery on top of grassy terrain instead of sweep-stopping superpower.

]Hello, i will try to help you with your team.
I made a pokepaste about it so that i can view it better: https://pokepast.es/49139d8424149934.
Mon choice isn't too bad but some sets can be improven and i would also def change something.
About the team:
1) Jellicent usually isn't the most viable option altho i like it but we can rather change it. I see that you like the Fighting immunity but having Tornadus is more than enough, you are just running a too offensive set which doesn't really fit in this team.

2) While i do like rilla but Lele kinda just works better. I would rather just change the Magnezone but you want a team with it and that's for sure good, so Lele + Zone should be a great core to start of, we kinda like a scarf set as we also don't have that much speed control. Lele can also most likely switch into Fighting attacks, especially from Buzzwole as it runs CC+Ice Punch usually which doesn't hit Lele too hard. We can just use Timid Scarf and i like FS on it as there aren't many switch-ins on Future Sight + Band Weav. I think Modest is good as Timid doesn't really help with much, it allows you to outspeed Scarf Lando, Scarf WashTom and Scarf Fini which aren't really used with Scarf.
Tapu Lele @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Future Sight
- Moonblast
- Psychic
- Focus Blast

3) So we were going to replace Jellicent, but ofc by removing it + Rilla you become weak to Rain, so i wouldn't mind Toxapex altho Rain still remains hard due Zapdos and Seismitoad. Toxapex can worn down threats like Weavile and Tran or just annoy mons like Buzzwole or Tornadus with status.
Toxapex @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic
- Haze
- Scald
- Recover
A standard set should be great, you could eventually try Shed Shell>Black Sludge to avoid getting drapped and killed by Heatran but Black Sludge gives overall more longevity. You could also try to replace Landorus-T with Gastrodon and to put Clefable>Jellicent to get a better rain MU, but i don't want to change too much so i will keep it like this.
Team so far: https://pokepast.es/b5bd1aae3161d2a5

About the sets:
:weavile: Band weavile is for sure okay, usually Adamant is used for Beat Up sets tho, but we don't really have many mons with high base Attack so probably i would just switch to Jolly. Also Aerial Ace can be for sure a cool niche but it is good only for Buzzwole which can get 2HKOed by Choice Band Triple Axel so yea we will use Triple Axel>Icicle Crash and Poison Jab/ Low Kick>Aerial Ace. Low Kick can be helpful vs more targets like Heatran, Ferrothorn and Melmetal.

:magnezone: Set should be fine, Body Press is for Ferrothorn so yea you can def keep it.

:tornadus-therian: you are running it too offensively, welike to use it as a pivot. Run Max HP EVs, speed for 110 base Speed Mons and rest in defense. We then use Hurricane as main stab, Knock Off for utility, u-turn and Defog/Taunt. We can rely on Lando for Defog so Taunt should be great.
Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 164 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Taunt

:landorus-therian: set is great, Defog + Sr doesn't make much sense at all even tho can be sometimes usable, i would just replace Rocks with Knock Off/Toxic. We don't love having Rocks on the field as we have Band Weavile. Max SpDef is good, but 4 speed evs aren't as u want to be slow to be able to make slower U-turns than other Landos. make it 4 Def and 6 or 25 Speed IVS

It would look like this: https://pokepast.es/4bf4e198dd8010a6
As i said, you can try Clef+Gastro with the lattest making rain playable.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any question you might have
