SV OU Please help with my general OU Team, trying to perfect!

Hello, and thanks for reading! I made this team for me to generally play OU with and have been fairly successful so far. My usual playstyle is hyper offense, so I decided to go more balanced, although still offensive. I appreciate all feedback!

Kingambit (M) @ Black Glasses

Ability: Supreme Overlord

Tera Type: Dark

EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe

Adamant Nature

- Sucker Punch

- Kowtow Cleave

- Iron Head

- Swords Dance

I use kingambit primarily as a cleaner with sucker punch, but he also works as a great walbreaker for me. He provides great offense but is also very bulky. In addition to always wanting a steel type I appreciate having dual immunities I enjoy prediction.

Iron Valiant @ Booster Energy

Ability: Quark Drive

Tera Type: Electric

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Timid Nature

- Calm Mind

- Moonblast

- Thunderbolt

- Psyshock

I use Valiant primarily as a wallbreaker/sweeper, as it's amazing speed and good spak make it highly effective. Thunderbolt and Moonblast both provide coverage I really need, and it functions very well in tandem with dragapault. Calm mind provides extra power if I get the opportunity to use it.

Great Tusk @ Booster Energy

Ability: Protosynthesis

Tera Type: Fire

EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def

Impish Nature

- Rapid Spin

- Stealth Rock

- Ice Spinner

- Earthquake

I use Great Tusk as a combination of utility and defensive wall. It's Ability to set up rocks and spin away the opponents is big for me. Ice Spinner provides much needed flying coverage while Earthquake provides good damage without hurting its defensive prowess.

Dragapult @ Choice Specs

Ability: Infiltrator

Shiny: Yes

Tera Type: Dragon

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Modest Nature

- Flamethrower

- Shadow Ball

- Draco Meteor

- U-Turn

Dragapult is a great physical wallbreaker/sweeper. I sometimes use it to scout with sub. I really like its ability to force switches, which gives it free setup. It's STAB moves are also rarely resisted, which helps kill or severely dent opposing threats.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers

Ability: Levitate

Tera Type: Steel

EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD

Calm Nature

- Hydro Pump

- Volt Switch

- Thunder Wave

- Protect

Rotom-W is a great special wall and pivot. Hydropump hurts ground types that block Volt Sw while t wave help ogerpon or dragapult sweep. Levitate is great for my ground weaknesses. I can switch even into physical attackers and take a hit if Tusk is dead.

Ogerpon-Wellspring (F) @ Wellspring Mask
Ability: Water Absorb

Tera Type: Water

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Jolly Nature

- Swords Dance
- Horn Leech
- Ivy Cudgel
- Play Rough

Ogerpon is a fantastic sweeper and wallbreaker. water and grass are great types, and water absorb provides great utility. Swords Dance with optional Tera brings attack to amazing levels.

Thanks again for any advice! I'd look forward to reading it.

Thanks for posting! We can't be perfect, but I'll do my best to rate your team :)

Big Changes:

Swap :ogerpon-cornerstone: for :ogerpon-wellspring:. Its way better because it is able to serve as defensive utility (water asorb) as well as a sweeper. Just a standard offensive set, Ivy Cudgel for damage, Horn Leech for grass coverage as well as recovery and Play Rough for hitting dragons that resist both stabs. Lastly, Swords Dance to boost damage. You can run Knock Off over Play Rough for item removal, but I would recommend running Play Rough instead.

Ogerpon-Wellspring (F) @ Wellspring Mask
Ability: Water Absorb
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Horn Leech
- Ivy Cudgel
- Play Rough

Swap your Substitute set for a :Choice-specs: set. It's better for revenge killing, doing massive damage off the rip and :kingambit: being really common meaning that you won't be setting up most games. Shadow Ball and Draco Meteor for stab, Flamethrower to hit steels and U-Turn for offensively pivoting.

Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Shadow Ball
- Flamethrower
- U-turn

Small Changes:

I notice that some of your mons have no Tera types, so I'll give some.

Swap Body Press on :great-tusk: for Ice Spinner. It hits :gliscor: which is really common in the format.

Swap :black-glasses: for :leftovers: on :kingambit: It heals while setting up as well as helps deal with hazards that are really common right now.

Give :great-tusk: Tera fire. It covers its grass and fairy weakness. You can run Tera water if you want, but you have :ogerpon-wellspring: and :rotom-wash: already.

Give :rotom-wash: Tera Steel. Its immune to ground type moves so its has less weaknesses as well as it now resists fairy.

Thats all! Hope this helps. Go get em! :boi:

Thanks for the rate! I implemented most of your suggestions. I especially like how Flamethrower and ice Spinner cover the types that I lose effectiveness to switching ogerpon up. I think the Leftovers on gambit makes a lot of sense but I really like black glasses bringing kowtow and sucker to extreme levels, so I am going to be testing to see which works better for me. Thanks again this had be super helpful!
