fatgross (Metagross) @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 204 HP/52 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Thunderpunch
- Protect
I knew Metagross had more potential to be bulky than just a Restalk set, so this is what I came up with. Works in the same way as a standard Swampert does as a lead in that it can take hits from most threats, has the firepower to take them on and scouts Choice users with Protect. This has advantages over Swampert though - it's stronger, has more resists without a 4x weak and since I created it (to my knowledge, if someone else came up with the same idea before me then apologies), the opponent doesn't immediately assume that I have this moveset, unlike Swampert, who uses a similar set as its standard.
gyarafat (Gyarados) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 212 HP/16 Atk/180 Def/100 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang
- Dragon Dance
- Taunt
Garchomp/Heracross/etc coverage. Also has handy resists.
fatlix (Steelix) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 244 HP/216 Def/48 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
Now who put this in UU? Good phazer and support, especially against Zapdos or any other Electrics that follow the Thunderbolt/HP [Ice/Grass]/<move>/<move> format. Jirachi too. Toxic is there because I like it.
cresselifat (Cresselia) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 204 HP/68 Spd/20 SAtk/216 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
Don't like using something this boring, but it can't be that boring anymore if its usage has fallen. EV spread is changed anyway; speaking of which, I doubt I need 270 Speed when I'll probably just be switching out of Heracross.
fatmagius (Mismagius) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 44 HP/220 Spd/244 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
I prefer this to Gengar. I was originally going to have Raikou here, but thanks to SOMEONE, you can't have HP Ice or HP Grass on a Timid one. This works just as well, if not better, and its typing fits in well.
ludifat (Ludicolo) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 140 HP/116 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Surf
- Grass Knot
- Leech Seed
- Rain Dance
Mostly filler. Says hi to Swampert and Gyarados and I find Grassers handy when Leech Seed gets flung my way. I also feel like having some form of sweeping ability here seeing as I have more than enough defensive capability in my first four Pokémon. Nevertheless, Ludicolo can still take certain hits and recover it off.
