I haven't done any competative 5th gen battles yet but this is my team as follows.
Donphan@quick claw or earth plate
-stealth rocks
-earthquake
-rapid spin
-assurance
252 hp/252 attack/4 speed adamant
I am leading with him because my main strategy is set ups and he will get the stealth rocks off but stay alive because i need his rapid spin or my volcarona will perish. His Earthquake will be my main damage move but in case I come across a ghost he will also have assurance. I am going to lead with it (stealth rocks) but imediatly switch out to ferrothorn and set up spikes. It will be crucial that I rapid spin the potiential stealth rocks because I plan on doing alot of switching and like I said before I can't afford my Volcarona to take stealth rock damage. Donphan's massive attack stat won't hurt either after I've gotten rid of the stealth rocks, and I will use it as a physical attacker till the death to deal some free damage.
Ferrothorn@ leftovers
-gyro ball
-power whip
-spikes
-leech seed
252 hp/208 spl. d/48 defence Relaxed
Ferrothorn is my favorite poke and he is a perfect wall. He is phase two of my set ups and will lay down the spikes and leech seed the opponents pokes and will gain life very easily. The iron barbs plus rocky helmet is also a very effective way to stop a scizor.
Hydrigon@choice specs
-Flamethrower or fire blast
-surf
-calm mind
-dragon pulse
252 hp/252 spl. A/4 speed Timid
This will be my spl. A sweeper and I was considering choicing it but i decieded i want to use it's dragon move pool to cover my opponent's types. I gave it surf because the opponent will most likely switch to a fire type when they see my ferroseed. I want to teach it a psychic attack but I can't find one that it can learn so I am also considering switching it for a Dragonite.
Conkeldurr@Leftovers
-mach punch
-drain punch
-bulk up
-payback
120hp/ 252 attack/ 138 speed Adamant
As Somalia suggested I'm going to exploit the 140 base Attack stat and forget about the def and spl. def ev's. The drain punch is a little present for enemy Ferrothorns which I am sure to see because apparently its in most Teams. (That or a Fortress) The bulk ups will just make it unstopable with its mach punch and I can get some revenge damage with the payback. The ev spread should keep it alive because it has some hp and the leftovers. The 138 speed ev's will allow it to out speed some spl. attack sweepers. (hopefully)
Volcarona@Lum Berry
252hp/124 spl. def/122 defence
-Flamethrower
-quiver dance
-Hidden power (rock)
-bug buzz
This specific Volcarona will be a dancer and will have some bulk to it. The lack of spl. Attack ev's will be overcome because of it's modest nature and numerous quiver dances. Stealth rocks won't be a problem as long as I can keep my donphan alive long enough to rapid spin the stealth rocks away. My strategy is more defensive and requires me to have to set up while my enemy takes heavy entry hazard damage.
Milotic@Leftovers
-Scald
-Ice Beam
-Recover
-Toxic
252 HP / 200 Def / 58 SpD Bold
Well after I completly changed the moveset and ev's for Milotic (Thanks to Somalia) I can use the ice beam to take out dragons and flying pokes. This is good because a choiced Salamence or Garchomp would screw my team without it. The Recover will keep me in the fight while I get some Toxics off and mabye a burn instead. The ev spread is focused on keeping it alive and gaining some life. My Ferrothorn will hopefully Leech Seed most of my opponents pokes so my Milotic's Leftovers, recover, and a possible leech seed will make it hard to take out.
Thanks to Somalia for the team advice.
