Please Rate My First Real Competitive Team

Hello everyone I am new to the forums, but not new to Pokemon. I have been playing all of the Pokemon Games (Except Crystal x_x) since the RBY days and just recently have decided on giving competitive battling a try. I have tried this team out over Pokemon Showdown and it has done consistently well against some surprising teams. But I constantly want to grow and evolve as well as my battle strategies, so can you please take a look at my current team and see what things you like and what things you would do differently.

****Since his introduction to the game I have always been a huge fan of Garchomp so he was the basis for which my team is built.****

Smeargle @ Quick Claw
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spd / 4 Def
Nature: Jolly

-Spore
-Stealth Rock
-Sticky Web
-Healing Bell

Smeargle is usually the first one out in my battles. Usually his speed can help get him in a spore to help set up both Stealth Rock and Sticky Web; if not he must rely on the Quick Claw. He is usually switched back in for support if any of my other team members get poisoned, burned, or paralyzed; or if the opponent has a rapid spinner/defogger which I was able to take out. With the multitude of status affects going around online I incorporated Heal Bell as a way to keep my team running at their full potential.

Ninjask @ Leftovers
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spd / 4 Def
Nature: Impish

-Swords Dance
-Substitute
-Baton Pass
-Protect

Usually Ninjask is used immediately after Smeargle while the opposing Pokemon is either still sleeping or just waking up. His job is to set up a Substitute to allow him enough time (alternating using Substitute and Protect to Stall) to build up Speed and Attack boosts from his Ability and Swords Dance. He can then pass them along to either Aegislash, Garchomp, or Skarmory.

Mandibuzz @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Sp. Def / 4 Def
Nature: Careful

-Taunt
-Defog
-Foul Play
-Roost

As for the last of my support Pokemon; Mandibuzz is typically a nuisance to most opponents I face. I bring her in usually when it's safe (one of my other Pokemon Faints). She is there to clear field hazards if any exist as well as Taunting to break down opposing walls, Using Foul Play against boosters (especially DD Gyrados, DD Dragonite). Mandibuzz usually tends to attack first when I use her which helps her to stay on the field as long as safely needed.

Volcarona @ Leftovers
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Nature: Timid

-Quiver Dance
-Bug Buzz
-Fiery Dance
-Roost

Usually Volcarona is BP to by Ninjask with a Substitute if one was available. This gives Volcarona an almost guaranteed turn to at least get one free Quiver Dance up before attacking. Volcarona acts as my only current Special Attacker due to most of the team being Standard Physical Sweepers which adds variety and ways to get around physically defensive walls. Again, usually Volcarona is sent onto the battlefield with a Substitute in place or worst case after another member has fallen.

100px-0,292,0,291-Aegislash_Shield_Form.png

Aegislash @ Air Balloon
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 Spd
Nature: Adamant

-Kings Shield
-Swords Dance
-Sacred Sword
-Shadow Sneak

I believe most people I've seen use Aegislash have this moveset on them (new to X & Y Competitive Battles) but it seems to be a solid one. Ideally Aegislash will be BP to by Ninjask either with a Substitute or Swords Dance, at least a Speed Boost or Two. He has Swords Dance/Kings Shield as a "Just in Case". Also the Air Balloon helps to protect Garchomp from taking Earthquakes (unless he's boosted). He seems to handle most opponents fairly well.

Garchomp @ Persim Berry
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Nature: Jolly

-Swords Dance
-Iron Head
-Earthquake
-Outrage

The main-stake of this team Garchomp is usually passed to either at the very end of the match as clean-up duty or early on to try and take as many opponents down as possible before he falls. Garchomp is nearly always (unless something goes wrong) BP to by Ninjask with as many perks as possible between (SD, Speed Boost, & Sub). Garchomp took a lot of breeding for the Egg Moves and personally one of my favorite Pokemon since his invention. This Moveset seems to cover most enemies I've been faced with so far (A few legendaries even).

So looking back at the team as a whole I have Smeargle setting up field hazards and possibly rendering the opponents Pokemon temporarily inert while Ninjask sets up any (Substitute/Speed Boost) for Volcarona or Sub/SD/Speed Boost to Aegislash or Garchomp. Mandibuzz is to remove field hazards and try and break up boosters or walls that may be switched in.

I am open to criticism as this is my first time really taking the game to the next level (all Pokemon listed have 5 Max IV's where needed after hundreds of eggs x_x) and battling competitively. Please tell me what you think would help benefit the team or what I'm doing right.

Thanks,

Eevee

At the risk of sounding harsh, quick claw should never ever ever ever ever ever be used in a competitive setting haha, the normal (and obligatory) item on smeargle is focus sash. This ensures that you get a spore off, regardless of whether or not you're faster than your opponent, I can't stress enough how much this change needs to be made!!!

It seems like there's a bit too much reliance on setting up with this team; every team needs a couple of dancers but it's equally important to have pokemon wish choice sash/band that can outspeed and out damage opposing pokemon without needing to set up. No life orb or any choice item is usually a big red flag on competitive teams, except for certain strategies. Consider life orb on volcarona to give it some extra punch! I would also consider dropping ninjask (who usually seems better than it is in reality except for dedicated baton pass teams) for something like rotom-wash with a Choice scarf; it would give you water and electric coverage, while helping you tank ice attacks that the rest of your team doesn't like

I think all of your builds are good (except smeargle), but I would consider dropping swords dance on chomp and going for scarf chomp instead, since the team desperately needs a revenge killer.
