Ok,well this is the first rate my team I've done so I'm not entirely sure how its done I'm just going to try and emulate another one that seemed to get a lot of responses. Also as i side note I'm not sure if what I'm using is legal, i have three unreleased dream world abilities and I've gotten mixed answers on whether or not that it is legal so if someone could inform me of that it would be greatly appreciated.
So a few things right of the bat about the team. First of all this is my second team in black and white, i would consider my first to be pretty good while this one needs work. I've tested this team a fair ammount in PO and plan on much more use of it. Some things that destroy my team are fighting types (roobushin, zuruzukin, machamp, etc.) also my team is lacking special attackers aside from the specs chandlure. I want to remove Chandlure because he seems pretty cheap but hes one of my favorite new pokes so maybe using flash fire is a better option.
The team at a glance
Now in depth
Kojondo (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Regeneration
EVs: 196 Atk / 60 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Hi Jump Kick
- Hidden Power [Ice]
This guy needs to go. I really only put him in for fun because he looks cool. Don't get me wrong hes a great poke but he serves no purpose on the team and is usually just death fodder for an excadrill. I have not tried the fake out anti lead set because i really like the mixed set a lot but who knows. i still think two fighting types on one team is extremly bad with rankurusu and slowbro and what not. I need a proper lead or a spinner. Perhaps espeon or xatu would work as well?
Garchomp (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Fire Fang
- Stone Edge
Im on the fence about Chomp. Just like so much of this team i only put him in because hes a very good poke and looks cool but i didn't really consider team synergy when i tossed him in. He does serve as a decent revenge killer but i think chandelure could use a scarf and take chomps role and give me an opening for another special attacker. Perhaps i could put a scarf on chandelure and replace chomp with a specs latias. or maybe a sub SD set would benefit the team more. The moves are pretty standard i think, EQ is my main attack with stone edge for flying types and fire fang for ferrowthorn. Outrage is obviously more of a last resort type of thing.
Shandera (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Shadow Tag
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Overheat
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Energy Ball
Oh how i love this guy. Choice specs is probably not the most effective set for him but i don't care, there is just something gratifying about hitting something with a choice specs, modest, max special attack, stab, overheat. Like i said before though i feel very cheap for using shadow tag. Also as i mentioned in the section about garchomp i think chandelure would benifit more as a scarfer than as a specs user. I just love how much damage he puts out with specs. Most of his moves are filler, as i only use over heat or occasionally shadow ball. Ive also been considering fireblast because i tend to want to stay in for more then 1 or 2 hits but i cant with overheat.
Chansey (F) @ Evolution Stone
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Softboiled
- Heal Bell
- Stealth Rock
- Seismic Toss
I just thought I'd try this bugger out to see if she was actually better than bliss like so many people say, and i was certainly not let down. The move set is also pretty standard i suppose, i used the same bliss in 4th gen. Shes my stealth rocker mainly because I love MGT Xerxes and she has tons of opportunities to set up rocks anyway. Also I dont care what anyone says i never go into a battle without a heal beller. Not much else to say about chansey except its bulky as all hell and supports this team very well.
Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Boil Over
- Wish
- Protect
- Roar
Defiantly my favorite poke of all time. I have one on every team. Vaporeons main role is to make a good defensive core with blissey, which he certainly accomplishes. So many times have i switched in on an Excadrill's SD, taken the EQ and roared him away. The move set might need some work though, i cant think of anything to replace but i really would like some status on this team and a toxic on vaporeon or a T-Wave on chansey would probably help a lot. Anyway because this team is pretty bad as of right now i rely very heavily on vaporeon to "pick up the slack" and save my team. Vaporeon, i love you.
Breloom (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 6 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed
- Spore
- Stone Edge
Sevendeadlysins did an analysis on 5th gen breloom and i was very surprised not to see a banded set. I used to have a banded scizor on this team but i quickly found that a bulky water like suicune walled my whole team and steam rolled right over me, so i came to the conclusion that breloom solved this weakness almost completly. Nothing, and i mean nothing enjoys taking a bullet seed from this beast (except sheddy =). I have spore simply beacause its a freakin breloom why wouldn't i have spore!? Spore also confuses a lot of people who assume its banded. Mach punch is the main attacking move and it works even better than a scizors bullet punch in most cases. I have been considering using the swords dance set over this banded set though simply because i don't have anyone on the team that sets up....
So thats that! Please tell me what you guys think any feed back is welcome just try and be positive =).
