PO/PS! Usernames

Hello.

I'm here with a suggestion (well why else would you post a thread in the suggestion box?).

Essentially, my suggestion is to add an extra one/two lines of text below users' location text, which would be editable from the User CP and show their PO/PS! Usernames.

I'm sure at least one person who reads this thread will be aware of the aftermath of G5 CAP3's Ladder Race (here). Although many quality CAP battlers posted excellent rankings on the leaderboard, the users from places 2 through 6 could not be acknowledged for their excellence (if they were even on Smogon at all). Having these extra lines would help to avoid this problem.

Furthermore, many users who post on Analyses and RMTs may have varying levels of experience in the subject. Implementing the username would allow their rankings to be checked on PO and PS!, such that the users can gauge the weight of the person's words and how seriously to consider their opinions.

Or, if this is already in the pipelines, ignore my entire post.

Generally people have their forum username match their PO/PS! username. If not, the regular Smogon users in question for that CAP thing should be able to identify that account as themselves. I don't think there needs to be another field there, because people can just put in that they're someone else and that can pose trouble.

For contributing / team rating, generally you should be able to tell who is experienced by what they say. If they make a bad analysis or a bad rate, you'll know they're not experienced right away.

I just don't think this is necessary.

Hiya. I agree with Solace. However, the CAP playtest statement holds no water. A user can PM me their alt name and I can confirm it via IP addresses, since I also moderate Showdown!. In Plusle's case, I am completely at fault. I confirmed his IP address, I just forgot to update the post. I am on my phone right now, but I will update that tonight. I apologize for my forgetfulness.
