Poetry about chess

A game of silence
A game of thinking
The only movement
Is intense blinking

A level of skill
And psychological thrill
A game of intense history
Surrounded by deep mystery

Many possible moves
Many possible ways
A game that can cheer you up
On your darkest days

The game I admire
The game that sparks my desire

Looks quite good. One thing you might wanna think about is the use of syllables in some lines:

"A game of intense history
Surrounded by deep mystery"

seems kinda long and awkward to say.

Well I'm definitely no expert on poetry, but:

With each line you are having one word being emphasised.

In the first paragraph you have game, game, only (movement could have the emphasis) and intense.

In the second paragraph I feel it's getting a bit messy:
A level of skill
And psychological thrill
A game of intense history (I can't seem to find any emphasis on this line and when I try and say it, it just sounds monotonous. Music-wise, you are wanting the emphasis on the first beat of the bar and you can normally have a small word like "A" and "And" before-hand to act as an anacrusis for the bar, but in this case you would have to say "a game of in" all as the anacrusis (in the previous bar) and that sounds very awkward as almost missing out the "A" when trying to say it fast. You would also have to put the emphasis in history like his-TOR-ry. Or if you try and emphasise the word game, you have to sort of rush the rest of the words in the bar.)
Surrounded by deep mystery

Sorry if it sounds too complicated and if I'm completely off, but that's just how I look at it.
