[SET COMMENTS]
Thanks to its high Special Attack, Mewtwo takes advantage of common walls in a physically oriented metagame. Poison Heal, along with decent bulk and setup moves, makes Mewtwo a threatening wallbreaker with nice longevity. Poison Heal passively healing Mewtwo gives it the ability to set up on and take out Imposter users that transform into Mewtwo, since they are unable to heal. Photon Geyser is one of Mewtwo's best STAB moves, as it has high Base Power and ignores abilities like Ice Scales and Unaware. Psystrike is an alternative STAB move that offers more PP and hits Snorlax harder, but not bypassing abilities makes it easier to deal with. Quiver Dance is Mewtwo's most reliable method of setting up and allows it to outspeed foes like Zacian-C, Zeraora, and Dragapult at +1 Speed. Setting up with Quiver Dance also makes Mewtwo more difficult to revenge kill, and this is compounded by the option to Dynamax and use Max Mindstorm to set Psychic Terrain. Earth Power is a reliable coverage move to hit Steel-types, while Blue Flare is a stronger but less accurate option that OHKOes Melmetal at +1 Special Attack but risks leaving Mewtwo walled by Flash Fire and Primordial Sea Steel-types. Secret Sword nails Dark-types like Tyranitar and Umbreon and allows Mewtwo to hit Snorlax harder when running Photon Geyser. Spikes is an option that can take advantage of Ice Scales or RegenVest users that switch in to check Mewtwo. Spore can increase Mewtwo's opportunities to use setup moves and take advantage of Imposter users, but running extra coverage moves is usually more valuable and requires less team support. A Timid nature is needed to Speed tie with Eternatus and outspeed maximum Speed Zamazenta-C.
Teammates like Zacian-C and Eternatus pair well with Mewtwo, since they can take common utility moves like Knock Off, U-turn, and Spectral Thief easily and help keep Mewtwo healthy. Mewtwo appreciates strong physical wallbreakers like Zacian-C and Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan-Z that can threaten the special walls aiming to check it, like Ice Scales Umbreon and Snorlax. In return, Mewtwo threatens Pokemon like Toxapex and Fur Coat Eternatus that attempt to check these physical wallbreakers. While Mewtwo is normally able to take on Imposter users transformed that have into it, Mewtwo still has to be relatively healthy in order to do so. If Mewtwo is at low health, some Imposter-proofing options include Dark-type teammates like Umbreon and Mandibuzz, which can force Imposters of Mewtwo out by threatening them with moves like Knock Off and Spectral Thief. Faster threats like Zacian-C and Zeraora threaten Mewtwo, so bulky physical walls like Fur Coat Seismitoad and Melmetal help keep these threats in check while also providing slow pivots to bring Mewtwo in and safely activate its Toxic Orb. Imposter users, like Wobbuffet, are useful teammates that can scout for opposing abilities like Magic Bounce and Ice Scales, as well as move combinations like trapping and ability removal that can threaten Mewtwo.
