National Dex Poison Pen (Defensive Pivot & Nasty Plot Pecharunt) [QC 2/2] [GP 1/1]

Pecharunt @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Air Balloon / Black Sludge
Ability: Poison Puppeteer
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Timid Nature
- Malignant Chain
- Hex
- Parting Shot
- Recover

Boasting a sky-high Defense stat, Pecharunt provides amazing role compression for offensive and balance teams needing a reliable pivot and spinblocker. Many of the fastest offensive threats such as Zamazenta, Iron Valiant, and Mega Lopunny can easily pick off unprepared offense teams, and Pecharunt provides a stopgap to them while also keeping up momentum for its own team. Even the tier's prominent Ground-types like Great Tusk and Landorus-T don't want to switch into Malignant Chain, given the threat of being badly poisoned and reducing their defensive capabilities immensely. Similarly, Dark-types such as Hisuian Samurott and Mega Tyranitar don't appreciate switching directly into Pecharunt because of Malignant Chain. Parting Shot allows Pecharunt to take a hit and switch out into a hard-hitting teammate, such as Urshifu-R, to threaten Pecharunt's checks like Mega Tyranitar and Kingambit. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Pecharunt to pivot more effectively without having to worry about entry hazards putting it in range of being OHKOed by attacks it would otherwise withstand. Alternatively, Pecharunt can run Black Sludge to increase its longevity if the team has sturdy hazard removal. Air Balloon is used to more effectively block Rapid Spin against Great Tusk and Iron Treads, and to add a Ground immunity to offensive teams. Darkinium Z paired with Parting Shot is a niche option that allows Pecharunt to give a low HP teammate a second chance at breaking through defensive structures or sweeping against already weakened teams.

Pecharunt fits well on offensive and balance teams for its ability to threaten poison and confusion on defensive Pokemon such as Landorus-T and Moltres and to keep up momentum for powerful wallbreakers, especially for teams needing a solid check to Fighting-types, most notably Zamazenta and Mega Lopunny. Pecharunt pairs well with Dark-type Pokemon, which cover Pecharunt's weakness to Psychic-types like Tapu Lele, Mega Latios, and Galarian Slowking in exchange for safety against Fighting-types. Mega Tyranitar, Hisuian Samurott, and Ting-Lu in particular form nice cores with Pecharunt as they can check Psychic- and Ghost-types while also setting up entry hazards for Pecharunt to even further weaken its checks upon switching in. Pecharunt can be paired with Gholdengo holding Ghostium Z to threaten the likes of Ferrothorn, Galarian Slowking, and Iron Crown that might switch into it trying to absorb a Malignant Chain. Late-game sweepers like Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant love Pecharunt's ability to spread status and pivot them in safely. Finally, Kingambit isn't threatened by Pecharunt's STAB moves, so it's good to Parting Shot out into a Fighting-type teammate like Zamazenta, Urshifu-R, or Great Tusk that can easily deal with it, though Pecharunt should be mindful of the occasional Defiant or Pursuit Kingambit.

Ability: Poison Puppeteer
EVs: 88 HP / 252 SpA / 168 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Modest Nature
- Malignant Chain
- Nasty Plot
- Recover
- Shadow Ball

Pecharunt's outstanding bulk and typing alongside its solid STAB combination give it prime opportunities to sweep. With access to Nasty Plot, Pecharunt becomes very hard to switch into, especially when combined with Malignant Chain's ability to badly poison and limit the defensive utility of Ground-types like Landorus-T and Ting-Lu. Hex can be used over Shadow Ball to do more damage to Gliscor and already poisoned Pokemon, but there are many Steel- and Poison-type Pokemon such as Melmetal, Heatran, and Toxapex that take little damage from an unboosted Hex, so Shadow Ball is preferred for consistency. Recover can provide repeated defensive utility on teams that have a tough time dealing with Fighting-types like Zamazenta and Urshifu-R, both of which Pecharunt can set up on safely. Ghostium Z is used to power up Pecharunt's Shadow Ball to insane heights, and can lure checks to its much more common pivot set like Ferrothorn, Melmetal, and Heatran and free them up for teammates like Tapu Lele and Iron Valiant. At +2 Special Attack, Never-Ending Nightmare OHKOes Ferrothorn and Toxapex. Pecharunt's EV spread allows it to survive a Headlong Rush from offensive Great Tusk or two Earth Powers from Terapagos at full health to spinblock more effectively as well as OHKO Great Tusk back with unboosted Never-Ending Nightmare. 168 Speed EVs lets it outspeed Modest Heatran.

Pecharunt fits well on bulky offense teams needing a spinblocker that can double as a set-up sweeper. Mega Latios and Mega Diancie are two partners that work in tandem with Pecharunt to break each other's checks. Mega Latios appreciates Pecharunt's ability to bruise Ting-Lu, Mega Tyranitar and Galarian Slowking, and Mega Diancie similarly dislikes these as well as Toxapex and Assault Vest Melmetal, all of which Pecharunt can deal with or severely dent. In turn, Mega Latios can pressure Mega Charizard Y and Ground-types like Great Tusk and Landorus-T, while Mega Diancie threatens Dark-types such as Hisuian Samurott and can often wallbreak so that Pecharunt is able to clean up. Pecharunt threatens Fighting-types like Zamazenta and Iron Valiant and therefore pairs well with Dark-type teammates like Mega Tyranitar, Hisuian Samurott, and Ting-Lu that can set up entry hazards that Pecharunt can spinblock for. Landorus-T and Gliscor are potential teammates that can avoid Ground-type attacks and function as a hazard setter and pivot for Pecharunt and its teammates to come in safely. Without Heavy-Duty Boots or Air Balloon mitigating hazards, Pecharunt is less consistent against what it normally checks, and this set lacks the utility to Parting Shot out of these Pokemon for momentum. This also means Pecharunt becomes less effective as a spinblocker against opposing Great Tusk and Terapagos, making hazard removal from Great Tusk, Zapdos, and Landorus-T good for Pecharunt's longevity. Pecharunt's STAB moves are stonewalled by Kingambit, Mega Tyranitar, and Ursaluna as well as other Dark-types like Roaring Moon and Ting-Lu, so it should be paired with Zamazenta or Great Tusk to cover these threats. Lastly, Pecharunt is outsped by many special attackers in the tier and therefore likes support from allies like Assault Vest Melmetal, Kingambit, and Ting-Lu in checking Tapu Lele, Mega Latios, and offensive Gholdengo.

Bolstering a sky-high defense stat and an always useful Ghost typing, Pecharunt provides amazing role compression for offensive and hazard stack teams needing a more reliable pivot and spinblocker. Many of the fastest offensive threats such as Zamazenta, Iron Valiant, and Mega Lopunny can easily pick off unprepared offense teams, and Pecharunt provides a stopgap to them while also keeping up momentum for its own team. Malignant Chain is a strong move that has a 50% chance to poison the target and confuse it when poisoned thanks to Poison Puppeteer, allowing it to blanket check a plethora of Pokémon with this ability alone. Dex info, following sentence is enough imo. Even the tier's prominent Ground-Types like Great Tusk or Landorus-Therian don't want to switch into Malignant Chain, given Pecharunt's ability to brute force through them with confusion and a powered-up Hex. Parting Shot is a scarcely distributed move that Pecharunt takes full advantage of so that it can take a hit and switch out into a hard-hitting teammate. Think you can mention its decent speed tier making Parting Shot even more effective Heavy-Duty Boots allows Pecharunt to pivot more effectively without having to worry about hazards putting it in range of the many attacks it will withstand throughout the battle. Alternatively, Pecharunt can run Black Sludge to increase longevity if the team has sturdy hazard removal. Air Balloon is used to more effectively block Rapid Spin against Great Tusk and to add a ground immunity to offensive teams. Darkinium Z paired with Parting Shot is a niche option that allows Pecharunt to switch out while healing one of its teammates back to full health, giving a breaker or low HP teammate a second chance at life. The given EV spread lets Pecharunt narrowly outspeed and block Rapin Spin against Great Tusk, putting the rest into its defenses for repeated pivoting and re-entry.

Pecharunt has risen in usage due Don't directly reference usage stats, instead say something like "fits well on offensive and hazard stack teams" or something to its great matchup into a range of physical threats, most notably Zamazenta, and Make this a new sentence. pairs well with Dark-Type Pokémon who cover Pecharunt's weakness to Psychic types like Tapu Lele, Mega-Latios, and Galarian Slowking in exchange for safety against Fighting-Types. Mega Tyranitar, Samurott-Hisui, and Ting-Lu in particular form nice cores with Pecharunt as they can check Psychic- and Ghost-Types while also setting up hazards for the team, and the aforementioned Tyranitar and Kingambit can pursuit these foes. Funnily enough, Pecharunt can be paired with Gholdengo holding Ghostium Z to threaten the likes of Poison and Steel walls such as Ferrothorn, Galarian-Slowking and Iron Crown that might switch into it trying to absorb a Malignant Chain. Pecharunt is a good switch-in to Ogerpon-Wellspring's Ivy Cudgels, and it can be beneficial to team with Choice Scarfers like Landorus-Therian or Urshifu-Rapid Strike to form a strong pivot core, as neither of them likes switching directly into Ogerpon-W. Late-game sweepers like Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant love Pecharunt's ability to check opposing Booster Energy Iron Valiant for them and make great partners. Idt this is due to Valiant specifically as much as it is spreading status and pivoting to get them in safely, so mention that too. Pecharunt can struggle against special Fairy-Types like Tapu Lele, therefore specially-defensive Steel-Types such as Assault Vest Melmetal or Heatran make good teammates. Finally, Steel-Types like Ferrothorn and Kingambit aren't threatened by Pecharunt's STABs, so it's good to Parting Shot out into Fighting-Type teammates like Zamazenta or Great Tusk that can easily deal with them, though Pecharunt should be mindful of the occasional Defiant or Pursuit Kingambit.

Pecharunt's outstanding bulk and typing give it prime opportunities to set up and sweep or massively disarray don't wanna get too much into GP stuff but this is rly weirdly phrased? opposing teams so that its own offensive teammates can sweep or clean up in the long run. With access to Nasty Plot, Pecharunt becomes very hard to switch into, especially when combined with Malignant Chain, a strong move on its own that can also activate its ability, yielding a high chance to badly poison and confuse the opponent, and leaving them a limited amount of time to deal with Pecharunt in the long run. Shadow Ball is used as a secondary STAB that also becomes a one-time nuke with Ghostium Z. Add some calcs that Never Ending Nightmare achieves Hex can be used over Shadow Ball to do more damage to Gliscor and other bulky Pokémon, but there are too many Steel- and Poison-Type Pokémon who take no damage from an unboosted Hex, so Shadow Ball is preferred for consistency. Recover is its last move so Pecharunt can provide repeated defensive utility on teams that have a tough time dealing with Fighting-Types like Zamazenta or Urshifu-Rapid-Strike. Ghostium Z is used to power up Pecharunt's Shadow Ball to insane heights, and can lure checks to its much more common pivot set like Ferrothorn, Melmetal, and Slowking-Galar and free them up for teammates like Tapu Lele or Iron Valiant. Pecharunt's EV spread allows it to survive a Headlong Rush from offensive Great Tusk or two Earth Powers from Terapagos at full health and block Rapid Spin, and with max Special Attack and a Modest nature can OHKO Tusk back with Never Ending Nightmare. Adding 168 Speed EVs lets it outspeed Modest Heatran. Max Speed Timid Pecharunt is another option to guaranteed outspeed Gholdengo and Great Tusk on slower squads, but the extra bulk and power the given EV spread provides can be very critical for offensive teams.

Pecharunt fits best on bulky offense teams and can be a perfect sixth Pokémon to round out a team needing a spinblocker who can double as a set-up sweeper. Mega Latios and Mega Diancie are two partners that mess with balance teams and can break down Pecharunt's checks in tandem with it. Mega Latios appreciates Pecharunt's ability to bruise Ting-Lu and specially defensive Heatran and Galarian-Slowking, and Mega Diancie similarly dislikes these as well as Ogerpon-W, Mega Lopunny, and Assault Vest Melmetal, all of which Pecharunt can deal with or severely dent. Good info but can you shorten these last couple sentences? Just a lot of space devoted to two potential partners. Tapu Lele and Iron Valiant also benefit from Pecharunt checking or chipping down their checks and make good partners offensively. Pecharunt threatens Fighting-Types like Zamazenta and Iron Valiant and therefore pairs well with Dark-Type teammates like Mega Tyranitar, Samurott-Hisui, or Ting-Lu who can set up hazards that Pecharunt can spinblock for. Landorus-T is a potential teammate that can avoid Ground-Type attacks and provide a nice pivot for Pecharunt and its teammates to come in safely. Could mention Gliscor here too, also mention Rocks or Defog from Lando. Without Heavy-Duty Boots or Air Balloon, Pecharunt cannot spinblock against Great Tusk and Terapagos as safely, so hazard control from teammates such as its own Great Tusk or Defog Landorus-Therian are good choices. Also mention how Pecha is less effective as a check to stuff since it eats hazards and cant pivot. Pecharunt's STABs are stonewalled by Kingambit, so it should be paired with Zamazenta or Great Tusk to cover Kingambit and other Dark-Types like Roaring Moon and Mega Tyranitar that similarly threaten it. Lastly, Pecharunt is outsped by many special attackers in the tier and likes support from Assault Vest Melmetal, Kingambit, and Ting-Lu in checking Tapu Lele, Mega Latios, and faster Gholdengo.

Well done, I'd just review GP standards about how you should refer to Pokemon like Ogerpon-W and Urshifu-R.

[SET COMMENTS]
Bolstering a sky-high defense stat and an always useful Ghost typing too vague and kinda dex info, Pecharunt provides amazing role compression for offensive and hazard stack offense and balance hazard stack sounds too specific esp when it works fine with just rocks teams needing a more more reliable than what? reliable pivot and spinblocker. Many of the fastest offensive threats such as Zamazenta, Iron Valiant, and Mega Lopunny can easily pick off unprepared offense teams, and Pecharunt provides a stopgap to them while also keeping up momentum for its own team. Even the tier's prominent Ground-Types like Great Tusk or Landorus-T don't want to switch into Malignant Chain, given Pecharunt's ability to brute force through them with confusion and a powered-up Hex mention the threat of toxic to the both of them, reducing their defensive roles significantly; it is very risky for pecha to 1v1 these ground types since it may not be left with enough to check the things it needs to; include how it stops others such as mttar and hamurott directly switching in either. Parting Shot is a scarcely distributed move that Pecharunt takes full advantage of so that it can take a hit and switch out into a hard-hitting teammate, often getting the Parting Shot off first with its decent Speed tier pecharunt notably outspeeds other bulky walls like moltres/zapdos and pivots out from them; it wont outspeed offensive foes it switches into, making this kinda wrong. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Pecharunt to pivot more effectively without having to worry about hazards putting it in range of the many attacks it will withstand throughout the battle being OHKOed by attacks it would otherwise withstand original was clunky. Alternatively, Pecharunt can run Black Sludge to increase longevity if the team has sturdy hazard removal could mention it preventing victini from 2hkoing via vcreate. Air Balloon is used to more effectively block Rapid Spin against Great Tusk and Iron Treads, (AC) and to add a ground immunity to offensive teams. Darkinium Z paired with Parting Shot is a niche option that allows Pecharunt to switch out while healing one of its teammates back to full health, giving a breaker or low HP teammate a second chance at life either breaking through defensive structures, or sweeping against already weakened teams "life" is super vague". The given EV spread lets Pecharunt outspeed and block Rapin Spin against Great Tusk, putting the rest into its defenses for repeated pivoting and re-entry.

Pecharunt fits well on offensive and hazard stack offense and balance teams for its ability to threaten poison/confusion on defensive Pokemon such as Landorus-T and Moltres, and to keep up momentum for powerful wallbreakers, especially those for teams needing a solid check to Fighting-Types, most notably Zamazenta mostly just elaborated on what u said; could include mlop in the last phrase tho. Pecharunt pairs well with Dark-Type Pokémon who cover Pecharunt's weakness to Psychic types like Tapu Lele, Mega-Latios, and Galarian Slowking in exchange for safety against Fighting-Types. Mega Tyranitar, Samurott-Hisui, and Ting-Lu in particular form nice cores with Pecharunt as they can check Psychic- and Ghost-Types while also setting up hazards for the team, and the aforementioned Tyranitar and Kingambit can pursuit these foes this is kinda irrelevant for pecha cuz its not a wallbreaker; instead talk abt how ttar handles special wallbreakers like zardy, or how kgb revenge kills foes pecha is passive to, like ghold and iron moth. Pecharunt can be paired with Gholdengo holding Ghostium Z to threaten the likes of Poison and Steel walls such as Ferrothorn, Galarian-Slowking and Iron Crown that might switch into it trying to absorb a Malignant Chain mention how they both overwhelm dark types together. Pecharunt is a good switch-in to Ogerpon-W's Ivy Cudgels, and it can be beneficial to team with Choice Scarfers like Landorus-T or Urshifu-R to form a strong pivot core, as neither of them likes switching directly into Ogerpon-W. this sounds extremely clunky; why are these two even switching in on wogerpon. they also have better merits than just that (i.e lando being a ground switch in or shifu helping vs dark types) Late-game sweepers like Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant love Pecharunt's ability to spread status and pivot them in safely. Pecharunt can struggle against special Fairy-Types like Tapu Lele, therefore specially-defensive Steel-Types such as Assault Vest Melmetal or Heatran make good teammates. u alr said it struggles vs lele; couldve at least mentioned koko Finally, Kingambit isn't threatened by Pecharunt's STABs, so it's good to Parting Shot out into Fighting-Type teammates like Zamazenta or Great Tusk that can easily deal with it, though Pecharunt should be mindful of the occasional Defiant or Pursuit Kingambit.

Pecharunt's outstanding bulk and typing give it prime opportunities to set up against what? and sweep alongside a great solid overselling since kgb, mttar and ursaluna all at least resist this stab combo STAB combination in Poison and Ghost. Landorus-T and Gliscor are potential teammates that can avoid Ground-Type attacks and function as a hazard setter and pivot for Pecharunt and its teammates to come in safely. Without Heavy-Duty Boots or Air Balloon mitigating hazards, Pecharunt is less consistent in what it normally checks, and this set lacks the utility to Parting Shot out of these Pokémon for momentum. This also means Pecharunt becomes less effective as a spinblocker against opposing Great Tusk and Terapagos, making hazard removal from Great Tusk, Zapdos and Landorus-T good for Pecharunt's longevity. Pecharunt's STABs are stonewalled by Kingambit, Mega Tyrannitar, and Ursaluna, so it should be paired with Zamazenta or Great Tusk to cover these threats, as well as and other Dark-Types like Roaring Moon and Ting-Lu that similarly threaten it. Lastly, Pecharunt is outsped by many special attackers in the tier and likes support from Assault Vest Melmetal, Kingambit, and Ting-Lu in checking Tapu Lele, Mega Latios, and offensive Gholdengo.

Bolstering Boasting i think this is what you meant? bolstering is wrong, that means to "support or strengthen" a sky-high defense Defense stat, Pecharunt provides amazing role compression for offensive and balance teams needing a reliable pivot and spinblocker. Many of the fastest offensive threats such as Zamazenta, Iron Valiant, and Mega Lopunny can easily pick off unprepared offense teams, and Pecharunt provides a stopgap to them while also keeping up momentum for its own team. Even the tier's prominent Ground-Types Ground-types like Great Tusk or and Landorus-T don't want to switch into Malignant Chain, given the threat of being badly poisoned and reducing their defensive capabilities immensely. Similarly, Dark-Types Dark-types such as Samurott-H Hisuian Samurott and Mega Tyrannitar Tyranitar don't appreciate switching directly into Pecharunt because of Malignant Chain, risking poison and confusion dex info. Parting Shot is a scarcely distributed move that Pecharunt takes full advantage of so that it can all filler allows Pecharunt to take a hit and switch out into a hard-hitting teammate, such as Urshifu-R, to threaten Pecharunt's checks like Mega Tyrannitar or Tyranitar and Kingambit. Air Balloon is used to more effectively block Rapid Spin against Great Tusk and Iron Treads, and to add a ground Ground immunity to offensive teams. Darkinium Z paired with Parting Shot is a niche option that allows Pecharunt to switch out while healing one of its teammates back to full health, giving give a low HP teammate a second chance at breaking through defensive structures or sweeping against already weakened teams. The given EV spread lets Pecharunt outspeed and block Rapin Spin against Great Tusk, putting the rest into its defenses for repeated pivoting and re-entry. max max no need this line

Pecharunt fits well on offensive and balance teams for its ability to threaten poison/confusion poison and confusion on defensive Pokémon Pokemon such as Landorus-T and Moltres and to keep up momentum for powerful wallbreakers, especially for teams needing a solid check to Fighting-Types Fighting-types, most notably Zamazenta and Mega-Lopunny Mega Lopunny. Pecharunt pairs well with Dark-Type Pokémon who Dark-type Pokemon, (AC) which cover Pecharunt's weakness to Psychic types Psychic-types like Tapu Lele, Mega-Latios Mega Latios, and Galarian Slowking in exchange for safety against Fighting-Types Fighting-types. Mega Tyranitar, Samurott-Hisui Hisuian Samurott, and Ting-Lu in particular form nice cores with Pecharunt as they can check Psychic- and Ghost-Types Ghost-types while also setting up entry hazards for Pecharunt to even further weaken its checks upon switch-in switching in. Pecharunt can be paired with Gholdengo holding Ghostium Z to threaten the likes of Poison and Steel walls such as Ferrothorn, Galarian-Slowking Galarian Slowking, (AC) and Iron Crown that might switch into it trying to absorb a Malignant Chain. Late-game sweepers like Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant love Pecharunt's ability to spread status and pivot them in safely. Finally, Kingambit isn't threatened by Pecharunt's STABs STAB moves, so it's good to Parting Shot out into Fighting-Type teammates a Fighting-type teammate like Zamazenta, Urshifu-R, (AC) or Great Tusk that can easily deal with it, though Pecharunt should be mindful of the occasional Defiant or Pursuit Kingambit.

Pecharunt's outstanding bulk and typing give it prime opportunities to sweep alongside a solid STAB combination in Poison and Ghost. Pecharunt's outstanding bulk and typing alongside its solid STAB combination give it prime opportunities to sweep. With access to Nasty Plot, Pecharunt becomes very hard to switch into, especially when combined with Malignant Chain's ability to badly poison and limit the defensive utility of Ground-Types Ground-types like Landorus-T and Ting-Lu. Hex can be used over Shadow Ball to do more damage to Gliscor and already poisoned Pokémon Pokemon, but there are too if there were really too many then the first set wouldnt run hex many Steel- and Poison-Type Pokémon Poison-type Pokemon such as Melmetal, Heatran, and Toxapex who that take no little damage from an unboosted Hex, so Shadow Ball is preferred for consistency. Recover is its last move so Pecharunt can provide repeated defensive utility on teams that have a tough time dealing with Fighting-Types Fighting-types like Zamazenta or and Urshifu-R, both of which Pecharunt can set up on safely. Ghostium Z is used to power up Pecharunt's Shadow Ball to insane heights, and can lure checks to its much more common pivot set like Ferrothorn, Melmetal, and Heatran and free them up for teammates like Tapu Lele or and Iron Valiant. At +2 Special Attack, Never-Ending-Nightmare OHKOs Never-Ending Nightmare OHKOes Ferrothorn and Toxapex. Pecharunt's EV spread allows it to survive a Headlong Rush from offensive Great Tusk or two Earth Powers from Terapagos at full health to spinblock more effectively, and with max Special Attack investment, can as well as OHKO Great Tusk back with unboosted Never-Ending Nightmare. Adding 168 Speed EVs lets it outspeed Modest Heatran.

Pecharunt fits well on bulky offense teams needing a spinblocker who that can double as a set-up sweeper. Mega Latios and Mega Diancie are two partners that work in tandem with Pecharunt to break each other's checks. Mega Latios appreciates Pecharunt's ability to bruise Ting-Lu, Mega Tyrannitar Tyranitar and Galarian-Slowking Galarian Slowking, and Mega Diancie similarly dislikes these as well as Toxapex and Assault Vest Melmetal, all of which Pecharunt can deal with or severely dent. In turn, Mega Latios can pressure Mega Charizard Y and Ground-Types Ground-types like Great Tusk and Landorus-T, while Mega Diancie threatens Dark-Types such Samurott-H Dark-types such as Hisuian Samurott and can often wallbreak so that Pecharunt is able to clean up. Pecharunt threatens Fighting-Types Fighting-types like Zamazenta and Iron Valiant and therefore pairs well with Dark-Type Dark-type teammates like Mega Tyranitar, Samurott-Hisui, or Hisuian Samurott, and Ting-Lu who that can set up entry hazards that Pecharunt can spinblock for. Landorus-T and Gliscor are potential teammates that can avoid Ground-Type Ground-type attacks and function as a hazard setter and pivot for Pecharunt and its teammates to come in safely. Without Heavy-Duty Boots or Air Balloon mitigating hazards, Pecharunt is less consistent in against what it normally checks, and this set lacks the utility to Parting Shot out of these Pokémon Pokemon for momentum. This also means Pecharunt becomes less effective as a spinblocker against opposing Great Tusk and Terapagos, making hazard removal from Great Tusk, Zapdos, (AC) and Landorus-T good for Pecharunt's longevity. Lastly, Pecharunt is outsped by many special attackers in the tier and therefore likes support from allies like Assault Vest Melmetal, Kingambit, and Ting-Lu in checking Tapu Lele, Mega Latios, and offensive Gholdengo.
