aerodactyl (focus sash)
pressure
Jolly 252 ATK, 252, speed
taunt
rock slide
earthquake
stealth rock
very typical lead, stealth rock purpose.... very powerful start... I use him out of others is mainly for its speed.. almost no matter what when battling other leads it will go first with setting up stealth rock. If I'm facing someone else with aerodactyl what I always do is think two to three steps ahead and use rock slide if they use taunt. in case they're faster..
gengar (choice scarf)
levitate
timid (252 sp.atk, 252 speed)
shadow ball
focus blast
thunderbolt
trick
very nice thing about gengar is his speed. The reason I use trick out of all the options is that choice scarf messes with the other pokemon when they're stuck on a move. sometimes the extra speed doesnt make much of a difference especially for certain setup pokemon like curselax or calm mind jirachi. my favorite move out of it all if focus blast... So I had thoughts on changing gengar into something else... like substitue instead of trick and add black sludge... I don't know which is better yet
umbreon (leftovers)
synchronize
careful (252 def, 252 sp.def)
mean look
baton pass
wish
yawn
he is lovely when played correctly.... what I do with him... is use yawn first... because most players are likely to switch... so when... and if they switch again.. then i'll mean look.. it really does mess with people. the plan is to yawn out the first switch to appropriately deal with appropriate weakness. then mean look if they switch again or take the least amount of damage from it.... then baton pass into one of the three pokemon below. and let them power up.
dragonite (lum berry)
inner focus
adamant (252 atk, 252 speed)
outrage
fire punch
dragon dance
earthquake
This dragonite isn't typical to all the other dragonites... his combo is to be one of the options to come out from umbreon's baton pass and use dragon dance once or twice while the pokemon is still asleep.. then sweep the team.. and with the lum berry.. it gets an outrage without the confusion if it doesn't get status'd
machamp (leftovers)
no guard
adamant (252 Atk, 252 HP)
stone edge
dynamic punch
pay back
substitute
I am not a hundred percent sure with machamp... I'm hoping for mostly suggestions on what to do with him.. I like this method because of the neccessary switch for substitute I would use him to take out the likely pokemon to counter against it and make a free hit with substitute... but I don't know if its the best choice... does anyone have any ideas for him on this team
empoleon (petaya berry)
torrent
modest (252 sp. atk, 252 speed)
agility
substitute
grass knot
surf
I love this one.. a great game ender when in a pinch.... when safely set-up.. its hard to interrupt him.. things like snorlax and blissey are the only blockers... but they could be already gone in the near end mostly to come out and deal with gengar and its focus blast. I chose grass knot because of out of all my difficulties water pokemon are the toughest to knock out.. that is why I use empoleon with stealth rocks for aerodactyl
