Hey guys! This is my first post on smogon and my first attempt at a competitive team. I haven't played competitive before, but I've watched lots of tournaments and know the basics. Anyways, before we get to the team, I want to clear a few things up.
Moveset: I didn't include the movesets for my pokemon? Why? My action replay isn't working, so I'm simply getting moves by leveling up and TMs. I've been sure to include standard moves such as Head Smash for Tyrantrum, Dragon Claw for Garchomp, and Hydro Pump for Rotom. If you would like to reccomend any good moves for any pokemon, it would be appreciated (the moveset is not yet definite)
Tyrantrum: Tyrantrum I know isn't the greatest pokemon. I know. I like his diverse moveset (Ground, Rock, Dragon, Dark) and his high Attack And Sp. Attack. He can ether wipe teams or do horribly. If you have any better ideas, that would be great, but please provide reasons for the pokemon and why it is better then Tyrantrum, don't just say "Take Tyrantrum out".
OMG1! NO RAPID SPINER!: Yes, there's no rapid spinner and no pokemon that uses obstacles. Why? I find it better to have big damage from the start (Tyrantrum and Garchomp) than to slowly use obstacles and rapid spin. The best part is Tyrantrum and Garchomp often outspeed the opponent, allowing me to sometimes kill them without even having to deal with obstacles. Again, if you disagree please provide a reason and a pokemon that can do the job well.
And finally, to the team. (Too lazy for pictures)
(Mega) Garchomp
A great pokemon which I think is easily the best dragon. It's mega evolution lets it outspeed most pokemon, and its got high Attack. It lets me do high damage along with all general benefits of a dragon type pokemon.
Rotom (Washing Machine)
Simply a staple, probably the best water type thats not really a water type. Hydro Pump allows it to do mega damage, and thundershock and volt switch allows it to be a bit more versatile and makes it have the upper hand in more type match ups.
Greninja
Greninja is a great pokemon for two reasons, first, it's got some great speed, and second, it has an amazing ability, protean. If you don't know what it is, it allows it to transform into the type of any move he uses. For example, if he used ice beam, he would become ice, if he used dark pulse, he would become dark. This allows him to keep a very versatile moveset and deal 1.5X damage for each.
Talonflame
Talonflame has got great speed, and its fire and flying types allow it to have a powerful moveset to deal with matchups your other pokemon can't handle. It's not unusual for a good Talonflame to wipe a whole team, since it can carry fire and flying moves, which often have high power.
Tyrantrum
Already covered above.
Aegislash
Aegislash is one of the best pokemon yet. His ability allows him to transform between having a high defense and a high attack every turn. He also possesses a great typeset, and learns king's shield, which is a protect that lowers your opponent's attack.
