This team broke my record for longest thought process in making it. From the first slot to the last slot, I was rethinking what I should put in. It took about 45 minutes to get this far, and I still think its a bit shaky.

Starmie @ Leftovers ** Be

Wanted to make a starter breaker, and this is about as good as I could get it. Ice Beam covers Mence and Psychic for Gengar. Rapid Spin and Recover are just there.

I got a bit paraniod about Special Sweepers (especially CM sweepers) coming around and taking me out, so I went with Roar > sleep talk

Got interested with compatiblity for Steelix, and this is what I came up with. Fire Blast has a high possiblity of OHKOing Forretress and 2HKOing Skarmory. Semi-countered by lax because of lack of haze, but thats what Altaria is for.

- Dragon Claw
- Haze
- Perish Song
- Rest

I dont even know why I picked Altaria over Salamence other than the fact that I can Persish Song on the final pokemon and Haze. I wanted this to counter my weakness to the completely overused Blaziken that can obliterate my team, not that Altaria can do much about it if Blaziken totes HP Ice.

If someone other than Umby can find the theme, Cookies will be awarded. I know that Umby knows the theme already.

Zapdos, Weezing, and Altaria are not even affected by Spikes. Blissey has Softboiled and Starmie can sport Recover without Rapid Spin. Plus your Steelix has Rest.

My point is that Starmie having Rapid Spin is not that crucial when 3/6 of the team doesn't really care while the things that are affected can get their health back fairly easily. However I do notice that Rapid Spin Starmie + Steelix is a great combo. (They cover each other's weaknesses, and without Starmie, Skarmory heckles Steelix.)

Or you could keep things like they are with Starmie, Blissey, and Steelix.
Then put Haze > Fire Blast on Weezing.
Then try Raikou w/ Substitute > Zapdos for a Calm Mind Sweeper. (Jirachi may also work.)
Then try Gyarados w/ Taunt over Altaria for a Physical Sweeper.
(Or CB Salamence with a Fire move since I said take the Fire move off of Weezing, and maybe you still want to have a Fire move somewhere.)

Roar on Steelix and Haze on Weezing should suffice for Phazing/Hazing. Try handling Suicune with Raikou and/or Gyarados.

Could be Gyarados weak after all that (having taken away Zapdos). Thunderbolt could be fit into Starmie's (replace Psychic?), Blissey's (replace Ice Beam or SToss?), or even Weezing's (replace Sludge Bomb?) set to cover that. But at least you'd have some fire power with Raikou and Gyarados. Right now you got nothing.
 
Coz my hornz is just a title, I never have much of anything unique for a title.

I never factor in spikes when I switch most of the time, and when I started making this team Starmie was the second one in right after Blissey. I never thought that I was going to put so many spike resists on the team.

Fire Blast still can OHKO all the Forretress that may try to swtich in on Weezing's sludge bombs.
I dont think you understood what I meant when I said Im paraniod about Special Sweepers, I meant that I DONT want them to sweep, not trying to counter their sweep with my own.
Gyarados may a Phyiscal sweeper, but it doesnt solve the problem that last pokemon Snorlax/ Suicune can present. Also the Spd EVs on Altaria are to outspeed a normal Calmcune to set up a Perish Song.
Raikou is handled by Blissey already and Zapdos handles Gyarados, so your suggestions didnt really help. .-.
 
Mainly lacks offense in general. I guess it could wall some teams but it cant really hurt much.

To help with Gyarados i suggest putting Tbolt over rapid spin because of reasons stated earlier. Altaria isnt really needed because you have a special wall already which is all altaria would be doing. Salamence would really come in handy with intimidate and it packs a punch. DD would probably work but so Would CB, your call there.

I would probably Agree with oxy and take away FB on weezing for haze, and i would also agree with raikou or jirachi instead of Zapdos.

If you wanted you could put rock slide or iron tail on steelix because you have haze, and you dont have any spikes to abuse with.
 
There is no need to stop Gyaraos when Zapdos is there to fully counter it.

Altaria is there to stop last pokemon sweeps, thats mainly why its there.

I already knew this was a very defensive team, and I didnt want Weezing to have haze because I wanted to be creative to an extent with it as I've been using Weezing Haze/SB/WoW/Pain Split since I started Netbattling. Why Iron Tail on Steelix? Steel is a horrible attacking type already, and its accuracy isnt worth the time. Rock SlideWould be nice if it had a real reason to use it against something other than Zapdos or Aerodactyl.
 
I guess i wasnt very organized with my thoughts, the Gyarados counter is ONLY if you decide to add some kick to this team with a CM Sweeper taking away zapdos.

Iron tail is just the first thing to came to mind because sleep talker+2 Stabs usually works. It has a nice defense drops to Physical walls/special sweepers that come in. Rock slide for type coverage. My point was i find Roar and Haze on 3/6 of your pokemon redundant, especially without spikes. Toxic also comes to mind. As does dropping sleep talk since you have aromatherapy and adding explosion, which happens to help with Last pokemon Sweepers which is Altarias sole purpose allowing you to replace it with something that hurts such as mence/dos.


Looking at your team again, repeated attacks with from a Salamence would also eventually wear down your team enough for it to sweep. And you cant do much to stop it from coming in on steelix or altaria/zapdos(CB can come in and ohko zapdos but DD needs it to be weakened) aside from predicting it with HP ice. Steelix cant touch mence as it is. And its really easy to switch around after without spikes and pokemon that hurt.

Sorry if this seems harsh, i just personally dislike the concept of stall teams. On the contrary i really love the idea of starmie as it counters those anoying gengar starters and some others.

If you're going to use that version of Weezing, you might as well use Flamethrower + Taunt over Fire Blast + Sludge Bomb IMO.
 
Curselax, Blissey, and perhaps some other random assorted Pokemons, like the occasional Dusclops.
