Potential to pwn.

There are so many of these threads, but I doubt anyone will care, since this is the rating subforum. My team is working out pretty well in battles, but I'm still something of a noob at it, and would like some advice from a veteran battler (or any non-idiot). I just can't find the special something that it's missing. Advice and suggestions are welcome. Btw, I can't get pictures due to no copy&paste. Who wants to write out a url?

Lead/Wall: Hippowdon@liechi berry Impish nature Sand stream
252 evs in defense 252 evs in attack 4 evs in hp
Moveset-
Yawn
Rock slide
Iron head
Stealth rock
It's an unusual lead, but most of the leads I encounter have good attacks, which he absorbs well. Yawn is to incapacitate in the event of an impending switch (as..........JIRACHI is wont to do). Also, he makes a decent physical sweeper for mid-game. I'm happy with him, though taunt prevents stealth rock, and hippowdon is pretty slow. The ev spread makes sense to me though. Needs most advice, probably.

Sweeper: Weavile@liechi berry Jolly nature Pressure
252 evs in speed 252 evs in attack 4 evs in hp
Moveset-
Night slash
Aerial ace
Poison jab
Shadow claw

Weavile is a self-explanotory sweeper, and a fast one to boot. Good type coverage. Evs are ok, IMO, and he pulls his own weight. I'm pleased with him.

Sweeper/Sponge: Mr. Mime@peatya berry Calm nature Filter
252 evs in spdefense 252 evs in spattack 4 evs in hp
Moveset-
Encore
Energy ball
Psychic
Signal beam

As with weavile, a wide moveset and high spdefense to absorb special sweepers. Encore is frustrating to many people, assuming he goes first. Still not too bad, but he could use some work.

Physical sweeper 2: Eletivire@ king's rock Jolly nature Motor drive
252 evs in speed 252 evs in attack 4 evs in hp
Moveset-
Earthquake
Brick break
Headbutt
Fire punch

Wtf? King's rock? Yes, with headbutt, it almost always results in a flinch. If only for serene grace............ Anyway, This guy was originally going to be a special sweeper, but when I saw that attack, I changed my mind! Basically a back-up Weavile. Standard sweeper...... However, Gengar eats it for breakfast.

Special sweeper 2: Starmie@Petaya berry Timid nature Natural Cure
252 evs in speed 252 evs in spattack 4 evs in hp
Moveset-
Ice beam
Thunderbolt
Surf
Pain split
No rapid spin? No, I don't find it necessary. Boltbeam for obvious reasons, surf for STAB, pain split for recovery ( I hate recover). Still, just a standard sweeper. Natural cure is nice though.

Tank/Anti-tank: Spiritomb@Lum Berry Sassy nature Pressure
252 evs in defense 252 evs in spdefense 4 evs in hp
Moveset-
Will-o-wisp
Substitute
Pain split
Rest

With all sweepers, a tank could screw me so bad. So I have this guy. Wow to start damage, Sub to prevent it, Pain split+blissey=fun, Rest for recovery. Works pretty well, but pretty slow. Enemy rest ruins it, but softboiled and status don't. Pretty good since there are no weaknesses.

I'm not great on stab, but it works. Tips for improvement are wanted, and that's it.

Why do all your pokes have a berry on them? there are alot better items for the pokes you have, and no offense but this team needs ALOT of work, and I can't help with alot of it.

Hopefully someone who is more expierance with rating can help you better but I'll do what I can.

1. Hippo's EV's must be changed as well as his moveset, here is the proper lead Hippo

Hippowdon
Leftovers
Impish
252 HP 168 Def 88 SpD
Earthquake
Stealthrock
Slack Off
Roar/Toxic/Stone Edge

2. Weavile is much to fraile to take full advantage of the berry you have on him I sugged the CB version

Weavile
Choiceband
Adamant/Jolly
252 atk 252 speed 4 hp
Ice Shard
Pursuit
Nightslash
Lowkick

3. Mr Mime has horrible HP and is a god awful special wall I really don't know what to recommend for him so I'll leave that for now.

4. Kings rock is illegal IIRC, so you'll need to switch that regardless also Evire's set is somewhat weird. so give this a try

Electrivire
Expert Belt
Adamant/Jolly
252 atk 252 speed 4 hp
Thunderpunch
Earthquake/Firepunch
Ice Punch
Cross Chop/Brick Break

5. Starmie is again much to fraile to take full advantage of the item you have on her.

Starmie
Life Orb
Timid
252 sp Atk 252 speed 4 hp
Surf
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Recover

Regardless of if you hate recover or not it works better than pain split, so either run recover or run grass knot pretty much all there is to it.

Well, that's about all I can help you with, sorry if I seemed rude I didn't mean to come across that way. Again maybe someone with more expierance rating can give you a better one. good luck

RMT rules said:
15. As a site dedicated to competitive battling, we request that your team is as competitive as possible within its given metagame. In-game teams and gimmick teams will be closed. Battle Tower teams are permitted. "Theme Teams" are also OK as long as they demonstrate an understanding of the competitive metagame they are to be used in.

It is expected that you know the game to a certain degree of proficiency before posting your team for a rate here. Recently there has been a surge of teams made by players obviously brand new to the competitive scene -- there is little that can be done to help you here I'm afraid. This is the 'rate' my team forum, not 'rebuild my team for me' forum. Best place to go to in that situation would be Battling 101, and the Introduction to Competitive Pokemon article on site. If your team is deemed to show a severe lack of the understanding of the metagame, it will be closed and possibly infracted. This is completely up to the discretion of the mods.

Also please, next time you post try to provide more detailed descriptions for your six Pokemon.
